What are things YOU can’t live without? There are a few things I’m pretty sure I can’t live without: in the morning, coffee, and on the weekend, a solid few hours reading The NY Times front to back. 😂
In my work, though, these three things are indispensable: my business planner, post-its for all my frenetic note-taking, and bae for stopping me from hurting myself and lifting all the heavy rugs! 😂 What are your must-haves?! Tell me below! 💕

This weekend we brought in the world’s cutest interior designer to Beacon to help us rework our upstairs bookshelf design. It was a long grueling weekend of shelving and reshelving for Vera but I think in the end her expert reorganizational skills and impeccable taste paid off. Some Before-and-After shots of the Luna Zorro Studio. Earlier this year, with the business growing, we needed to find more space. The tricky thing about living in a 400 year old colonial city like Antigua means that high ceilings, open floor plans, and a lot of light are hard to come by - and that’s all I wanted. When I found our current space it was dreary and cluttered but I saw huge potential. The other thing about Guatemala is that when it comes to furniture and lighting and fixtures, there really is no such thing as vintage shops or flea markets to source key pieces. Everything is either imported or too expensive or cheaply made, or most often a combination of the three. So I took matters into my own hands and utilized some of the furniture that was available from the landlord (we wove fabric and reupholstered some things), I designed and built some key pieces (like the coffee table and the desks which aren’t shown here), painted the place, and most of all, filled it with handwoven textiles and plants. In March we’ll be moving to a bigger and more beautiful long-term space (yay!) but for now I love the good energy in our Studio. It’s been fun to find ways of transforming it into something simple but special which didn’t cost me a fortune. What are your go-to ways to change a space without spending much?

Hoping your rainy day view is beautiful! This design job last month has the best pillow combo ever! We used muted velvet coral pillows on a saddle brown leather couch, the homeowner already owned. And something about those two colors just made sense!
