woah two posts in one day!! I just HAD to share my breakfast from this morning! I used @birchbenders paleo mix and stirred in @vitalproteins dark chocolate blackberry collagen peptides! (great for skin, hair, nail, + joint support) I topped my stack with fresh blackberries, plain yogurt, @manitobaharvest hemp seeds, peanut butter, cacao nibs, && pure maple syrup🤩 just obsessed!! #justineeats

Made some chocolate quinoa porridge. Different from my usual oats. During this time of the year I just want something warm and filling, especially filling because during this time of the year I am more tempted to snack on unhealthy comfort food, so if I can enjoy something healthy, warm, comforting, and filling that’s great. I stay full and satisfied and am able to resist the urge to eat delicious not so healthy things, I mean I still enjoy them a little every now and then, but I am able to control and not binge. For example there are these Danish butter cookies that come in a tin container, and they come around every time this time of the year and they are just sooooooo good, idk if you know which ones I’m talking about. But I can literally eat almost all of them, that’s how good they are, so I have to resist the urge to grab one every time I pass by them in the kitchen, so filling foods are a staple for this time of the year. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️✨ CHOCOLATE QUINOA PORRIDGE: - 1/4 cup of quinoa - 2 Tbsp of unsweetened cacao powder - 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk - 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder ( 1 Tbsp of @tropeaka lean vanilla protein) - 1 medium banana mashed
Mix all ingredients together in a pot and bring to a simmering boil on medium heat, then lower the heat to low heat and cover with the top, and let it cook there for about 20 minutes. Remember to always check up on it and stir it so it doesn’t stick the bottom of the pot and recover it when you finish checking up on it. Do that for 20 minutes or cook till quinoa isn’t hard anymore. Then once that’s done place it into your bowl and top with your favorite toppings that you like to combine with chocolate, I topped mine with extra banana slices and a spoon of unsweetened & unsalted peanut butter. I am definitely so full after this💆🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️😋

I’ve got my serving of carbs here for good sustained energy {{ sprouted grain tortilla }}, protein for the building blocks of the body and to stay full {{ 2eggs }}, then tons of veggies for all their nutrients {{ spinach + mushrooms}}! I never feel bad about HUGE servings of vegetables. Salsa and a little crumbled feta for good measure 😉🌶

All I did this particular day was mix my oats, chia seeds, and coconut with enough milk to cover them, shook the jar, and refrigerated overnight! It kept me full through about half a morning of volleyball training and then I ate a larabar. It’s usually me frantically making the bowl look pretty knowing I’m going to need to rush to work. BUT it makes me happy so I choose happiness over being at work 5-10 min earlier 👊🏼👊🏼 my new smoothie obsession includes: steamed then frozen cauli, frozen spinach, 1/2 frozen banana (try to freeze when less ripe), frozen blueberries, @malkorganics vanilla almond milk, @georgiagrinders cashew butter, spoonful of @coyo_organic coconut yogurt and tbsp of @thrivemkt cacao powder. Topped with pumpkin seeds, cacao nibs, @purely_elizabeth pumpkin granola (so. Addicting.) goji berries, coconut shreds and frozen blueberries. Note this smoothie is pretty large so it keeps me extremely full through lunch time (around 1, but everyone’s diff). #cleaneating

Bringing you these savory oats/ morning stew? It’s full of flavor and it’s so filling!💕🤤 •Ingredients:
➵ 1/2 cup rolled oats
➵ 1/2 cup cooked lentils
➵ 1/2 medium-sized zucchini, chopped
➵ 1/2 portobello cap, chopped (must be 2-3 white mushrooms)
➵ A bunch of spinach, chopped🌿
➵ 1/2 tbsp flaxseed ➵ Turmeric + black pepper ➵ Pinch of salt
➵ Pinch of garlic powder 
For topping:
➵ 1/4 avocado🥑
➵ Lemon juice🍋
➵ Parsley 🌿 •Method:
Start cooking the oats in its double volume of water.
Past a few minutes, add the zucchini. Cook til it’s reduced.
Add the mushrooms, lentils and spices.
At the very end, add the flax and spinach.
Serve in a bowl with cubes avocado and lemon juice.

Empieza a cocinar la avena con el doble de agua.
Pasados unos minutos, añade la calabaza y cocina hasta que se reduzca un poco.
Pasado esto, añade los champiñones, las lentejas y las especias. Deja reducir casi al máximo.
Finalmente, añade la linaza y las espinacas.

Whole rolled oats are packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and are super filling to give you energy all morning. Plus, you had dress them up and add almost anything to them! 
Here's my recipe from this morning:
🍏1/2 cup of oats (cooked in water)
🍏Cinnamon
🍏Nutmeg
🍏1 tbsp ground flaxseed (sprinkled over cooked oats, you can also mix them in to thicken your oatmeal)
🍏1.5 tbsp peanut butter
🍏1/2 green apple
🍏Sprinkle of brown sugar
🍏Splash of almond milk

When prepared with an authentic maharashtrian Kanda Lasun masala it tastes yummm and so we call it as Tarri in vidarbhiya style served with flattened rice (poha)🤗 and when served with little farsan and Pav its called as Misal! Whichever way we like can have it.. its such a regularly cooked recipe in most of the maharashtrian homes in India!

i am obsessed with my overnight oats but started noticing that a few hours after i was hungry again, even thought i was eating a pretty filling breakfast. i decided to add in collagen because two scoops has 18 grams of protein and it keeps me full for at least double the time that my regular overnight oats do. if you’re having a similar issue as me or just want to change up your breakfast, you have to try this recipe, it’s so so good! |

persimmons are one of my FAVORITE fruits because when i was younger my grandma and grandpa used to take my siblings and i to go persimmon picking & from then on I’ve always looked forward to this time of the year! it’s persimmon season & they are SO SO sweet right now! woo! wooo! i love them in my oats, on my toast, or just by themselves! The other day I made some chocolate mint chia pudding and the next morning I thought to myself, “what was I thinking making something cold for breakfast?” (it’s freezing in stl) Then it occurred to me that maybe I could heat up the chia pudding to make a warm chia bowl! It worked out pretty wonderfully, I just heated it up in a pot and topped it with all the things. It was really nice having an easy breakfast for a change because I usually cook something from scratch. Also, this bowl weirdly filled me up until like 3 pm, which is odd because usually nothing fills this girl up😅 Anyway, have a great rest of your day friends!

Chocolate mint Chia pudding: 2 T chia seeds mixed with about 1/2 cup homemade cashew milk using @mannaorganics cashew coconut butter + 1 T cacao, few drops of peppermint extract and a splash of @lakantosweetener maple syrup. Topped it with @kitchfix paleo granola (one of the best I’ve ever had), raspberries, my homemade macadamia whipped “cream” (search the blog), and @artisanaorganics raw pecan butter (ridiculously good). Voilá✨

I made this awesome porridge this morning with Stoats Apple & Cinnamon porridge mix, water, topped with chopped apples, almond flakes, a drizzle of molasses and a lot of love! 💖. I added a cute little jelly bear 🐻 in the middle of the kids one, I like to make things fun for them when I have the time 😁 🐻 🥣 Molasses has a high nutritional value and is thought to be high in iron, calcium, magnesium and various vitamins.  It’s a real superfood!  Drizzle some on your porridge next time 😉. I got mine from the local health shop but you can get it from @meridianfoods , that’s the brand I personally use.
