Guys, the Queen is really a Queen!
2015 Miss Universe @piawurtzbach has class like no other. Witnessing first hand the way she carried herself, how she walked, how she talked... Pia is one big reason why I am a proud Filipina! ❤️
Let's send her our love as she just received her own star at the Philippines' Walk of Fame! 😀
The Queen made my first media coverage assignment for @goodnewspilipinas an experience like no other! 💙
KNOW GOD | KNOW LIFE “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” – John 3:16-17 “… I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10
I started living the “best life” when I truly surrendered and trusted Jesus with my heart. I still experience many challenges and pain yet the difference is that now I can have peace, joy and hope through all of it. PEACE that the world cannot give, the JOY of the Lord, which is my strength and HOPE that there’s so much more than this life we have on earth; we can spend eternity with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. **This birthday/Christmas season I’m thankful for the second life that was given to my husband Joshua, the new life that has been brought to our family whom we named Eliyanah Jean and a changed life for me (four years ago) and by faith—for my whole family and friends too.
BTW, that “best life” is a life that is full and free.
Thank you Lord Jesus! -- There is more to this “*Late*-Birthday-slash-December-Testimony-slash-Praise-the-Lord-Post” and I’m hoping to share it in God’s time. (Habaaaa e! Daming ipon.) Preparing myself (before the Lord) for this new outlet for my words and testimonies. Yiiiiiieeee! 💖
To God be the Glory!
I wish I could dream this big in 11th grade (@_@). Don’t know how these peeps find me, but I’m open arms ✊🏽.
What was I doing in 11th grade? Playing Age of Empires?... Playing all of the type-casted villains in Lebanon High School Musicals/plays 🤔... dreaming of moving to Japan because of Spirited Away... definitely not thinking about education and its power. So funny where life takes us, and so interesting when we take life by the horns...you start to see what type of waves 🌊 a person can create. I also look backwards, although unproductive, and think what waves I could have made if I had the right mentorship. Thinking a ton about the power of mentorship / representation / and the incredible power of small acts of service these days.
This is all to say... to my Asian Americans and Filipinx/o/a folks in Guam 🇬🇺 🇵🇭I got you.
As if living beachside isn’t enough, mom is totally living her best life with the massive garden she has surrounding their home 😍 She and my dad have dozens of types of plants and flowers plus fruit trees (coconut AND calamansi)! I am super envious of their green thumbs; I can barely keep succulents alive 😬 #philippines#broritosin 🇵🇭

God is Good and That’s That. Sheesh...I’m So Chinky, Dawg. Growing up, I hated it. Got made fun of for my Asian eyes. Got mistaken for being every type of Asian, too. They said “you don’t look Filipino enough” or “What’s Filipino?”. Now, I look into the mirror and I’m appreciative of who I am and where my family came from. I am a Filipino-American and I got a Dope Soul. Shout Out To The Asian Girls. Love Yourself. Love Your Chinky Eyes.
