Sometimes it’s hard to get a good fix on what it is that you want in life. There are so many options, so many possibilities, and so many directions to go in.
In 1883 the religious writer George F. Pentecost published the essay “The Angel in the Marble”. He described an episode from his childhood when he knew a down-and-out sculptor who acquired a large rough piece of marble and placed it in his shed studio. In the following dialog the sculptor was speaking earnestly: ‘Finally, I asked him: “Mr. M., what are you going to make out of that?” Looking up kindly into my face, he said: “My boy, I am not going to make anything out of it. I am going to find something in it.” I did not quite comprehend, but said: “Why, what are you going to find in it?” He replied: “There is a beautiful angel in that block of marble, and I am going to find it? All I have to do is to knock off the outside pieces of marble, and be very careful not to cut into the angel with my chisel. In a month or so you will see how beautiful it is.”’
Sometimes, when setting goals, it’s easier to make a list of what it is that you DON’T want in life. When you narrow the list of options, possibilities and directions down to something more manageable by eliminating the unwanted, choosing which domino to knock over first becomes much more manageable.
I used to say “One day I might get better!”
Saying, “One day I’d like too...”, is enduring that you will never achieve whatever that “...” is!
Anytime you say that, sit back, think about what you truly want, if you actually want to do whatever it is, write it down, set a goal, and lastly give that goal a date!
If your goal is too large or involves things you don’t have control over, then break them up, starting with the first 5 small steps that need to be done and give those a due date.
If there are extenuating circumstances that effect it, then identify what aspects of it that you have control over and control them.
You will be surprised how much of these things in your life you actually do have control over.
Take some initiative today and step into the shoes of the authentic.
There is no one day, only today.
Yesterday was such a great day. Filled with worship, music, the beach, family, and friends. I know not every day can be that sweet, but man it’s great when those days happen. But you have to work for them. You have to set yourself up for success, for dreams to come true - you have to go after what you want in life with courage and determination and a huge sense of humor. This book ⬆️ helps me do all of that. Everyday. #goforit#morningroutine#figureoutwhatyouwant @thedailysoulsessions
I found this picture of my baby loves. This is a great reminder to me that time just flys by. We can get money back, but our time is precious. Be careful how you spend your time, because within a blink of an eye it could get swooped right underneath you. For those of you who lost a loved one I’m pretty sure you know how that feels. Think about your life. Think about what you have done and change the things that you don’t like. 🙏🏻 Think about how blessed you are to still be here on this earth? Is this all you want to do for the rest of your life? What is it your truly want? What will you do to make your dreams come true? FYI dreams do come true. You see all these famous people live their dreams. Anything is possible. 🙌🏻🙏🏻
when’s the last time you tried something new?
some of the things i’ve (and then in turn @kev_will_ too 😂 ) introduced into our home/diet .. or ideas i’ve come up with .. weren’t overly exciting initially.
my first celery juice tasted awful, bone broth is freaking WEIRD was my initial thought about it, eo’s did seem a little far fetch at the beginning, and flying across the world to try a different kind of vacation felt terrrifying.
but we knew the benefits they had and the changes they could bring for us so we’ve always been willing to give it a try. the things we end up liking, stick. the things that we don’t, don’t.
it’s been fun learning how to be more open minded when it comes to trying new things. and figuring out what works best for us .
so what’s something new you’ve been thinking about trying, or have tried recently ?? did you love it? or hate it?
Recently my husband took my out for lunch, and I must say he knows me well👌
There is an area in Copenhagen called the meatpacking district, and there you can find amazing food, and coffee as well 🤩
We are slow learners, but we do enjoy those very rare moments to be able to sit and talk about all and nothing❤️ What is more important is being able to set your own schedule so that you actually can every now and then spend quality time with loved ones😍
“Thanks to our love of avoidance, the average person spends more time figuring out which is the perfect angle to take the hottest selfie from than she does figuring out what she really wants out of life, how much that will cost, and how to increase her income in order to make that happen.” @jensincero : You Are a Badass at Making Money
...so, I had to google this. Did you know that studies report the average millennial spends between 1 to FIVE hours per WEEK on “selfie duty” (which can include anything from snapping photos to retaking and editing)??!!
Imagine where we’d be if we all committed to 1-5 hours per week intentionally designing our lives. 📐📏Taking the wheel instead of traveling on auto-pilot. 🛣 Charting the course instead of going through the motions. 🗺
I’m down to be a trendsetter - who else?! 🙋🏼♀️ More authentic INTENTION less superficial “attention”? .
((... and honestly, although they’re not really my ☕️, this is not to hate on selfies.)) This is just to say, let’s think a little more about what we WANT, where we’re GOING, how to GET THERE, and WHY we want to go. Let’s tune in. 💥

Do you remember the moment when you learned YOU were not good enough…
and you changed ?
You became someone else & you were good at it.
You reached your goals.
Had success after success.

But, you’re tired of being someone else.
You want to be YOU, except you’ve kind of forgotten who that is.
Plus you’re still worried that you aren’t ENOUGH.
What if you could…
Reconnect with the real you...
Have even more success by embracing your true self…
Remove the crap that keeps you running in circles...
Have confidence in your decisions...
Know you're enough...
Create your total package without letting anyone down.
YOU CAN DO ALL THAT & MORE!! The filtered, perfect version of you that you've been sharing is impressive...Intimidating even, but she's Nothing compared to the Real You.
It's time you let the Real You out & started living on YOUR terms.

Discipline is a choice.
It really is simply choosing IN THE MOMENT to take action towards what you want most OVER what you want RIGHT NOW.
In a culture where we want things instantly, we've lost a little bit of what it takes to wait it out for our goals and for what's best for us. We want instant gratification. I know I do! What FEELS good often times trumps what is uncomfortable.
But it's in those uncomfortable moments that we are stretched, we grow, and we develop discipline.
Would I have rather stayed in bed this morning? In the moment, yeah. But I knew last night that for today to roll right, I would need to get up before everyone else, have my quiet time (and coffee!), and get my workout in before cheer carpool and Super Saturday! .
Especially as a mom when our 'to do' list is NEVER done, it feels so good to finish and accomplish something. That's where my 'discipline' of working out comes in. Even when in the moment if I don't want to put forth the effort, I know the discipline I put forth will be rewarded in the long run.
What areas are you struggling to have self discipline in? If it's with your workouts, accountability really helps! If you want to join one of our New Years' groups, comment or message me!
Some people don’t ever change. They just find new ways to lie.... I don’t understand why people hide and delete app conversations on their phones. If your not done being single then don’t commit! Cheating really isn’t just physical.... it always starts as a simple conversation “good morning” txt. so if u need to download an app or delete that text ur already there.......P.S your partner usually already knows 💯 ☝🏾😂 #getyourlifetogether#figureoutwhatyouwant#nobodywantsacheater
