The 4AM wakeup call for our Bison Safari in Custer State Park was early but definitely worth it! We stayed warm under big cozy blankets while spotting bison, deer, burros, turkeys, pronghorns, and more. Such a great way to start off a day exploring Rapid City, South Dakota!⠀
We were playing hide-and-seek with the monuments and fog last weekend in Rapid City, SD. So happy that Badlands National Park decided to clear up for a bit, so that we could see the beautiful landscapes! ⠀

Before driving the Needles Highway in Custer State Park, we made a pit stop at Sylvan Lake. The short trail leading around the lake sent us up and over rocks, through skinny rock tunnels, and next to water that was as still as glass. We lucked out with clear views and a bit of blue skies, and the scenery blew us away! #InstaMeetRapidCity ⠀
An hour outside of Rapid City, you can find yourself at Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway. The road twists and turns through a 19-mile gorge and there are a few different waterfalls to explore along the way. This is a shot of Bridal Veil Falls—it is a 60 for waterfall that cascades over limestone rock walls! #InstaMeetRapidCity
We’ve had a blast exploring Rapid City for the #InstaMeetRapidCity this weekend! Even though we spent most of the weekend socked in by clouds, we lucked out and got some great views at Badlands National Park. It wasn’t looking good when we arrived at the park, but persistence definitely paid off and we even spotted lots of goats climbing all over the rocks!
We are spending the weekend in Rapid City, South Dakota, for the #InstaMeetRapidCity with @travelmindset and @visitrapidcity! We can’t wait to be back in the area again for another visit. Some of the spots we will be exploring are Mount Rushmore, The Badlands, Custer State Park, and Hay Camp Brewing Company. If you are in Rapid City this weekend, come out and join us!⠀

On our way to Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park we stopped at South Point for some cliff jumping. But before jumping in, we had to check out the sprawling cliff views and crashing waves along the coast. What a wonderful way to start out the morning, am I right?! #FIGambassador
We took the Saddle Road on a day trip from Holualoa to Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. The road passes Mauna Kea, the tallest point in all of Hawaii, and some pretty cool lava trails, too. We stopped midway through the drive to check out the mountain views and the trails—can’t think of a better way to break up a drive! #FIGambassador
We loved all the colorful street art in Oaxaca, Mexico! During our visit, we wandered the streets to check out all the art, and we even happened upon a couple of people creating a piece right before our eyes!⠀
Natural infinity pools at Hierve el Agua located an hour or so from Oaxaca, Mexico. Such a beautiful spot! Just wish we didn’t forget our swimsuits—would have been nice to go for a refreshing dip! 🏊♀️⠀
We really ended up loving Oaxaca, Mexico, so much so that we decided to stay an extra night! Every time we went to and from our Airbnb, we walked up and down this giant staircase, which was probably a good thing because we ended up eating way too much delicious food! ⠀
When we were in Oaxaca, Mexico, we took a day trip out to Hierve el Agua. There are fresh water springs there that are over-saturated with calcium and other various minerals. This means that when the spring water falls over the rocky cliffs, the minerals get deposited on the rocks, and it results in what looks like a frozen waterfall! This view is from the spring at the top of one of the cliffs—such a beautiful area!
Boats at Xochimilco from above. One of our favorite things in Mexico City was going for a ride down the canals in one of these boats. We ordered food and drinks from the passing boats and even got serenaded by some tunes from a mariachi band!⠀
Isla Mujeres is a small island off the coast of Cancun—it’s less than 5 miles long and just under 0.5 miles wide! We loved spending a few days relaxing on such a chill island. The beach, Playa Norte, has been voted one of the top beaches in the world, and we can see why. With soft, white sand, turquoise waters, and fantastic sunsets, this stretch of sand sure is beautiful!
Monte Albán is located just outside of Oaxaca, Mexico. This site is the ancient ruins of one of the earliest cities of Mesoamerica, and we had a great time exploring and learning about the history in this area! #figambassador
Rocky shores on the south side of Isla Mujeres in Mexico. We had a couple of days on the island, so we rented a golf cart to get out and do some exploring! We spent the day stopping at small beaches, rocky shorelines, cute roadside restaurants, and even a beach bar complete with swings as seats—definitely not a bad way to spend a day in our opinion! ⠀
We spent a couple of days exploring Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina this week. One adventure we went on was a boat ride out to Masonboro Island with Wrightsville Beach Scenic Tours. It’s such a relaxing and peaceful spot and we really enjoyed walking the nature trail! #WrightsvilleBeachNC ⠀
The Johnson Canyon Trail in Snow Canyon State Park is only open during the winter months, so it’s yet another reason to visit St. George, Utah, in the winter. We hiked the trail this past weekend and caught a pretty sunset as we were making our way out of the canyon. It’s a short hike (less than 2 miles round trip) with a lot to offer, and we are so glad we had the chance to get out and see it for ourselves!
We just love the landscapes in the Southwest USA! We drove from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon West last week and couldn’t resist stopping several times along the way. The scenes were just too pretty to pass up! We didn’t realize how many Joshua Trees there were in Arizona, and it was fun to get out of the car and explore Joshua Tree National Forest! ⠀
Looking out over the tea fields on Maokong Mountain in Taipei, Taiwan. The views we encountered while on our way to a tea house were beautiful. We visited this area on a weekday morning, so it was a nice and quiet escape from the city. ⠀

Riding in the Crystal Cabin on the Maokong Gondola in Taipei, Taiwan. The gondolas take you up to the mountains where there are some great tea houses scattered throughout the hills. The Crystal Cabins have glass floors and huge windows, and the views over the mountains with the city in the distance were fantastic! ⠀
This is the path we took to escape the crowds at Yehliu Geopark in Taiwan. The landscape was beautiful and the best part about it was we only saw a few other people the entire time! We walked all the way to the point and had sweeping views of the rocky shoreline and ocean surrounding us. It was a wonderful break from the crowds that gather by the rocky landscape near the park entrance! ⠀
Watching the traffic outside of the Taipei Main Station in Taiwan. We visited Taipei on a cloudy week, but luckily the skies cleared a little bit towards the end of our visit and we were able to see some of the mountains surrounding the city. This morning though, it was pure clouds, but if you look really close, you can see the outline of the hilly landscape behind the buildings.
When we were in Taipei we made our way out of town for a day trip to Yehliu Geopark, which is a cape on the north coast of Taiwan. There are some crazy rock formations throughout the park and it was crazy busy too, especially when the tour busses rolled in. We couldn’t resist checking out the rocks in the photo above (thankfully we found a break in the crowds), but we also had fun taking our time and hiking the path out to the edge of the park. It was much quieter out there and we enjoyed the solitude we found. More photos of the trail to come soon!@FIGclothing #FIGambassador#FIGclothing ⠀⠀
The Longshan Temple is one of the largest and oldest temples in Taipei. It was built in 1738, but it was badly damaged by bombings during WWII. The temple has been restored and renovated over the years and the detail in its design is quite the sight to see, and we loved visiting on a busy Friday evening! ⠀
Looking out over Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Park in Taipei, Taiwan. We watched the changing of the guards ceremony, explored the gardens, and listened to musicians at a special event taking place at the park. It was a fun spot to wander around on a lazy afternoon in the city!⠀

When we were in New Orleans, we couldn’t resist learning more about the behind the scenes of Mardi Gras, so we made our way over to Mardi Gras World. I loved being able to see artists working on sculptures and we had a great time exploring the giant warehouse of past float pieces! #FIGambassador#FIGclothing @figclothing
We loved all the pretty architecture throughout New Orleans! The colorful buildings and iron balconies in the French Quarter made us stop time and time again. I especially loved the balconies filled with flowers and greenery! ⠀
On our road trip to New Orleans, we stopped at Deep South Pops in Jackson, Mississippi for a treat. We couldn’t resist the handmade gourmet popsicles—I had a cinnamon banana oatmeal pop and it was delicious! #FIGambassador @figclothing
