Wow, looks like there was a fire in the sky tonight! Simply gorgeous indeed… Gotta love fiery sunsets like these. Pics taken from around San Jose, CA. (Sunday around sunset, December 9, 2018)
*Weather update/forecast:
The jet stream was to bring low pressure troughs & frontal systems rapidly across the Pacific & as they reach the coast, they were being pulled northeastward & weakened. This means the systems passing across NorCal were fast-moving & relatively weak, though the clouds from these systems were helping to enhance the sunsets in the region (like this evening as one of the storms was drifting into the West Coast). By the very next day, Monday, we were to have a break and then another weak system was forecast to bring light rain to the coast range, the northern mountains, the valley north of Red Bluff, and the Sierra Cascade north of Plumas county. By Thursday afternoon & Friday, a slightly stronger system was to bring rain to parts of the state. Then yet another system was to move into the region by the next upcoming weekend…

Enjoying a gorgeous, fiery sunset display this evening over the city. Brrrr, despite the fiery skies, it’s a bit on the chilly side this evening. Pics taken from around San Jose, CA. (Sunday around sunset, December 9, 2018)

The late-autumn sun slowly sets over the west. Brrrr, it feels like it’s already winter now despite it being fall still. Pic taken from around San Jose, CA. (Saturday around sunset, December 8, 2018; 4:39 p.m.)
*Weather forecast/update:
At this time, the jet stream was bringing in low pressure troughs & frontal systems rapidly across the Pacific and then as they reach the coast they were getting pulled northeastward and weakened. Unfortunately, this means the systems passing across Northern California were to be fast-moving and relatively weak. This day, we saw partly cloudy skies at most. The next storm system was to move thru by late Sunday and early Monday with light showers, if any. By late Monday, we were to have a break and then a weak system was to bring light rain to the coast range, the northern mountains, the valley north of Red Bluff, and the Sierra Cascade north of Plumas county. By Thursday afternoon & Friday, a slightly stronger system was forecast to bring rain to all of the north state with snow levels near 4000 feet. Then, the next storm was forecast to move into the area late Saturday and Sunday…It’s like a roller coaster ride of weather patterns!

What a S U N S E T❗️❗️❗️the most colourful I’ve seen in months. Fiery sky with cold tones, just my favourite view and I’m enjoying it so much after many days of not being able to stare at the sun setting over a clear city. The wind has been really chilly, but I appreciate that we’re having clear skies because of it. Nature is just perfect, God’s creation is always magnificent beyond words. .

Dezember 2018, Emmering, Sonnenuntergang
Bummer, what a sunset.
Just came home from doing some shopping. Had to stop and take pictures.
The rainclouds were bathed in the setting sun's light. It looked absolutely fantastic.
December has some nice suprises in stock, even weatherwise.
Have a good Thursday everyone.
