How does a future Pro look like?
Check out @lexa_stahl "As I type this, I am 19 years old and will be 20 next month (in January 2019); I recently just completed my first NPC competition season in both figure and women’s physique division. This first season was just a piece of the pie to see which division I felt more “home” in. That is definitely physique. As much as I LOVE figure, physique is much more for me. I have only been lifting weights for three years and was never an athlete before then so I really started from the bottom. The first time I ever stepped foot in the gym, I fell in love. I do this out of complete, utter passion. I love training more than anything."
"To say I am happy and proud of my progress thus far is an understatement. I plan on shooting for Nationals in order to earn my spot in the IFBB in 2020. When I step on the Nationals stage, I will be a threat."
"Growing up, I was very very skinny, I didn’t hate my body but I was not at all happy with it. It was cool because I was that friend who could eat whatever and stay stick thin, but I also didn’t like being called “anorexic” if people did want to pick on me. I never had an eating disorder or anything like that, just a fast metabolism but now I am very thankful for that. In daily life, as a female bodybuilder, you may seem like you’re in your own little world, but as soon as you go out in public, you stick out! You get many stares and questions. I don’t mind it. Being average is boring."
"As of right now (December 2018) I am growing for my Summer 2019 season. Shows still have not been picked out but I 100% will be on the stage in the Summer."
It feels good to be back!😊 I was in California for work last week, and between the jetlag, the change of routine, the fact that I haven't been drinking enough water, or eating as much as I should have, I haven't been able to get a proper session the whole week.😖 The idea was to be back to the gym yesterday morning after I arrived in Dublin at 8.30am, but after a few delays, a missed connection and a change of flights, I didn't arrive home until 4pm yesterday, and by then I was wrecked. I decided to give the gym a miss until today.
It took me much longer to finish my workout this morning, but apart from having to take more rest between sets, I didn't have to reduce the number of sets, the weight, or the reps. I count that as a huge WIN!💪🏻 We'll see how it goes tomorrow when I train chest. I get the feeling there will be much more struggle, since chest is usually the muscle group that suffers the most whenever I don't get to train properly.😅 But that will be something to deal with tomorrow!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
