Sometimes when I post my workouts I have this thought in the back of my head that people are getting annoyed “like ya bitch we get it, you work out” and then sometimes I hesitate to post anything. BUT I realized that posting my workouts not only maybe motivates someone else to get their butt in gear or realize that they are capable of simply starting their journey it is a daily reminder for me to KEEP GOING. I have never continued my health and wellness journey for this long if it wasn’t for being accountable here and posting dem super speedy vids.

Mostly I feel EXCITED to keep going and learning and improving. And I’m so very excited to start competing! 👊🏼

On this day last year I ran 3.1 miles and it took nearly 37:00. I’m not embarrassed about that at all! It was the first time in my life that I’d run more than 1 mile! I PUSHED myself that day and I’m so very proud of that girl. 🤩

But she’s come a long way. Today I did the exact same rout for 3.1 miles as I did it in 23:40. 😳 that’s about a 13:00 difference. I am incredibly pleased with how that went. -

So many runners have helped me and inspired me! @madeline_moves @jessrunsok and @oliviamaecoco are big running inspirations for me. ♥️ but my BIGGEST running inspo is my papa @mamiller196109 who made me believe I could do it in the first place. ♥️

I’m so thankful for this new passion and I can’t wait to do my first half in March!!! And hopefully another half in the early fall. -

Do you ever get bored at the gym?

So what I’ve found is a lot of people do is they say right I’m going to start the gym, get all motivated, get all the right gym gear, sign up to a gym, go strait to the running machine, run for 5/10 mins (or walk) and then then move onto the cross trainer do that for a bit and then kind of just float about till you’re ready to go.

I found people have no plans or direction and don’t know where to start! They just wing it and expect results!

You need to have a plan, write it down what you’re going to train in the gym, look up workout videos save them and make sure that’s what you’re doing at the gym. So you’re not wasting your time and getting disheartened when you don’t see results.

I actually hate cardio, couldn’t think of anything worse than going on the running machine and running for half an hour, how boring 😭

I don’t actually mind the step machine as I treat that as a different kind of cardio/Hiit and I will show you what I do on that next week!

But it’s good to get that heart pumping, blood racing and feel a great burnnnnnnn 🔥 in them muscles.

This is fun and interesting and great for a quick burnout, if you do this in the gym get your headphones, equipment and find a corner and go for it. Trust me if your not a sweaty mess after this do it again, I love seeing people a hot mess in the gym shows how hard they’re working. -
Yesterday I trained booty! I tried a new workout and pushed myself so hard I was actually grunting like a man struggling to do the last few reps, but I did them and you know what I’ve got the biggest burn on today and I can’t even sit down on the toilet, so that tells me it was worth it. Who gives a F what you look like in the gym, all about how you feel after and I felt so good!

Ok so let’s burn some calories, 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off. Go as hard as you possibly can for the 30 seconds on. If you cheat you’re only cheating yourself💪🏽

Move 3: Squat jump on step with bar.
Move 4: Jump side to side off step, stay low.

Ok so I had a lot of you asking me how to get motivated and how you’ve get stuck in a rut!

First of all you have to want it, there has to be a goal for you.

So firstly set yourself goals. Knowing where you want to be, and drawing a plan on how to get there.

Looking up transformation pics, knowing if they can do it then you certainly can.
-
Create a habit. For example put your trainers by the door, do the workout and reward yourself for example; with a smoothie or watching your fav reality tv afterwards. Rewarding yourself will make the link that your behaviour is worthwhile as you get a reward, therefore increasing the likelihood of creating a habit.

Routine, routine, routine. Schedule your week and stick to it, when you’re going gym and your food diary. And stick to it! Make it a priority, don’t be so strict like eat lettuce 3 times a day and do 5 workouts because it’s not going to happen. Workout 3 times a week, healthy food 80% of the time and relax the other 20%.

Find what works for you, you might hate the gym, why don’t you try boxing? Yoga? Gym classes? Dance? Home workouts?You’ll always find something that you love, that’ll get you’re heart pumping. Just need to try different things. -
Unfollow anyone that makes you feel bad! And follow people that inspire you!

When you start regularly attending a gym, class or join a fitness community, it can massively keep you motivated sharing stories and results. And feeling part of a family I know I do with my girls at the gym 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

So this is about 9 months apart, and I took about 4 months off from hitting the gym. But I got back at it a couple weeks ago, and changed up my diet and things, and I’m pretty stoked with the results already. We’ll see how this goes!

1️⃣More protein! You will be surprised at how little protein you’re eating once you start paying attention. One rule of thumb is about 1 gram of protein per pound you weigh. I do a little more than that, but it’s a place to start. 👊🏼

2️⃣lots of compound movements! If you do compound movements every single day then your entire body will be working hard and developing. Compound movements are essential, and also very efficient! -

3️⃣ push those weights. Why limit yourself? If you can do 40 squats then you can definitely do 20 weighted squats! Grab some dumbbells and make it happen. -

Unless you are taking steroids or testosterone pills, you’re not going to get bulky. So GO FOR IT! It feels GOOD to feel STRONG. -

I’ve had a few messages recently from the most loveliest of girls, asking me if I was ever scared to start my fitness journey and especially my fitness blog?

Omg yes!!!!!! Yes, yes and yes again. There is nothing more scary than coming out of your comfort zone. You may see lots of fitness girls on insta or amazing transformation pictures but remember they all had to start somewhere.

This is exactly how I overcame my fear, we all have to start somewhere and progress is progress no matter how small, you just have to trust and believe in yourself that you can do it.

You have to think these people all started off with the same fears, the self doubt, thinking it’s just not me, I can’t do this. But they did it and how did they do it? They persevered, never gave up, worked hard and stayed disciplined. If you want something bad enough you will get it, if you don’t you’ll make excuses.

Myself I was scared about posting videos and pics everyday what will people say about me? Will the think its embarrassing? These are things I used to get so anxious about. But who cares, I want to make a success of myself and anyone that judges me certainly isn’t helping me get there. -
My next steps are starting a PT course and speaking on camera both things I’m scared to do but both things I will do💪🏽 GO AND GET YOUR DREAMS!

Who else is finding it tough to find motivation at the moment?! It literally gets dark at 2pm and makes me want to go home and snuggle in my dressing gown 👵🏻 If like me you struggle during the winter months, here are my tips to help you stay on track 💕 .
1️⃣ If you can, get to the gym before it gets dark. I know after work at 5/6pm when it’s dark and cold the last thing I want to do is go and train. So if you can get your workout in earlier .
2️⃣ Make healthy comfort food 🥘 I’m loving broccoli rice... it’s filling and warm but less carbs than rice! I also love my homemade protein brownies warmed up in the microwave (recipe on my page) 😋 .
3️⃣ Get enough sleep 😴 I always try and get at least 7-8 hours and find I always need more this time of year .

Today I did some circuit work with 4 exercises in each. No rest between each exercise and it was fiiiireeee 🔥. And then I did a little burn out on the stair master before heading home.
