As I was listening to my Personal Development this morning, I realized how PD days in other professions were code for the opportunities to take a sick day or fill the time with “something important”. Instead, I now reframe it and look forward to my PD each day because it’s based around what I need to help me grow the best. I also CHOOSE to do it because I love it and it fills my cup for the day and energizes me!

Blueberries- aka as “brain berries” by @askdrsears - can help brain function...and heart function...and gut health. @medicalmedium suggests wild blueberries and his rationale makes a lot of sense. So why not combine them both into an insanely yummy smoothie?

In the cooler months, one of my favorite thing to cook is soup. I LOVE all the ways I can make it, how easy and flavorful they all are, and possibly what I love most of all is how comforting and soothing a big bowl of soup is! Raise your hand if you love soup as much as I do. 🙋🏼‍♀️

Lemon quinoa veggie soup 
2 c. chopped carrots
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
4-5 c. broccoli (cut into smallish bite sized chunks) 
1/2 head (2 1/2 c) cauliflower (cut same size as broccoli) 
1 large bunch chopped kale 
1 1/2 juiced lemons 
1 c quinoa 
2 cartons (quarts) broth 
1 t @simplyorganicfoods herbs de Provence 
3 garlic cloves 
Dash of @chosenfoods avocado oil 
Pink salt and pepper to taste 
Sauté carrots, celery, broccoli, cauli, spices in avo oil for a few minutes until they’re about half cooked. 
Add in everything else and cook covered over medium low heat for about 20-30 minutes until everything is cooked fully (veggies and quinoa). Add more herbs, salt and pepper, or garlic if needed! #chelsbateseats #naturallychelsrecipe

i missed the cutoff for good lighting tonight + the only fresh produce i have in my fridge right now is broccoli so needless to say my dinner was anything but photogenic!! was going through some old pics trying to see if there was anything that would catch my eye to post & when i came across this pic it reminded me of summer. it made me really miss the weeks when i could sleep in really late & didn’t have 4 tests in one week😅hope this smoothie brightens your night up!!! @pitayaplus packet + 4-5 big frozen strawberries + 1 cup purple riced cauliflower + spoonful @kitehillfoods plain almond milk yogurt + 1/2 cup @thenewbarn unsweetened vanilla almond milk. blended in my @vitamix & topped with @purely_elizabeth chocolate sea salt probiotic granola🤪🤩💕

I was so so SO self-conscious. I got bangs to cover it. Caked on makeup (toxic at that time). Put toxic creams all over my face (thanks doc) & even went on birth control to "control my acne".⠀

It wasn't until I was 18 (after 5 years of acne) that I learned about nutrition, non-toxic skin care and got off birth control. That's when I started seeing results BUT..I still have hormone imbalance = breakouts. UGH #estrogendominance (be patient Ashlee, be gentle with your body).⠀

These are photos I’ve been sitting on for at least two years, too afraid of what people might think to share them with the world. There was a conversation in the @luscioushustle Academy page the other day about telling our stories, and what hold us back from them. I said I didn’t think anyone would relate, or that my story wasn’t worth telling. To me, they’re obstacles that I’ve overcome, but at the time, they can be excruciating to live with. @betsymilne came back and told me that “by holding on to your story, you are holding on to the past. Your stories make you you. It’s not audacious to share them, it’s authentic”.⠀

In Australia we have an almost pathological fear of being seen. We even coined the term “tall poppy syndrome” to make sure that anyone who wants to step out of their box remembers their place and doesn’t move ahead. We don’t allow people to stand or step in to their power. I am a very prideful person, and have accomplished some incredibly exciting things in my life, but I continually diminish them for fear that someone tears me down, points out all my shortcomings, or tells me in an number of ways that I’m not worth listening to. I’ve come to realise that that’s fine with me. I wasn’t put here to be small. I chose to be here to live with light and lead with my heart. Sometimes that means I’m cranky and it changes the vibe of the room I’m in without me noticing. Sometimes it’s laughing inappropriately loud and snorting with my friends and family. And sometimes it’s accepting that who I am isn’t who I was, but I’m who I am because of who I was.⠀

Today I took a step and posted my health story on my website. Maybe no one will read it. Maybe they will and won’t give a shit. Or maybe it’ll teach one person and make them feel more connected to a small part of ourselves. It’s not audacious to stand in who you are. It’s authentic, and it’s worth celebrating, acne scars and all.

KETO MCT CHOCOLATE BITES .
- 2 Tbsp (11gr) of @caveshake coconut milk powder
- 1/2 unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop of keto cacao @keynutrients - 2 Tbsp of ghee
- 1/2 cup of almond milk unsweetened .
METHOD
Mix half cup of almond milk with the coconut milk in powder. Pour in ice trays and freeze for three hours.
Mix the other half, make sure that the ghee is melted and pour over the first later and freeze.
Enjoy!

Sprouts or microgreens? 🌱I’ve been  learning about the differences between the 2. In the picture are beautiful sunflower microgreens. They have a little nutty flavor and a crunchy texture, sunflower microgreens are nothing short of awesome in sandwiches, soups, salads, scrambled eggs, and wraps. Both the leaves and the stems are edible.

1/8 c nut milk
1 t pumpkin spice 
Dip @littlenorthernbakehouse bread (our favorite bread because it’s gluten free and plant based and delicious!) into the egg mixture and cook over medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side. #naturallychelsrecipe #chelsbateseats
