So we visited the Sadequain art gallery situated in the Frere Hall, Karachi 🏫💜 It contains beautiful pieces of the painter’s copies of art 🌸💗 they are magnificent and every piece speaks for itself. Each painting is a masterpiece and tells a heart wrenching story 🌟🌻 the entrance has 3 murals dedicated to the famous artists Sadequain, Manto and Faiz. Upon entry into the Hall you see a mural painted on the ceiling by Sadequain himself. The painting is from a surah from the Quran 🕌 (can also be seen in the picture) and the painter died while he was on it and hence the work is unfinished.
I personally feel that the place is not maintained the way it should be. I have visited museums & art galleries in Lahore and they are far more maintained than the ones in Karachi. The art deserves to be sheltered and place to be maintained 🌸💜 I would advise you all living in Karachi to give the place a visit if you’re a sucker for art and aesthetics 🌻🌼💛
So I finished My Feudal Lord by Tehmina Durrani and this was truly a heart wrenching story. The autobiography speaks the tale of hundreds and thousands of women in our nation. The poor and the privileged we all go through the same struggles. The fact that people from the elite class go through the same kind of verbal and physically abusive relationships is eye opening. You have to stay in it for your children. I am awe struck at how beautifully she wrote everything without fearing the outcomes. She has provided extraordinary insights into the position of women in the Pakistani society. How the feudal culture affects the lives of everyone around them. The book shook the Pakistani society to its foundations. The backlash it received was expected. I love the phrase where she says, ‘Well, Mustafa, now the world will soon know you only as Tehmina Durrani’s ex-husband.’ It’s a 9/10. 🌟🌟🌟
I love how easily the words were written on paper as if I’m sitting in front of her and she’s telling me the story. The book was not slow and it will keep you indulged until you flip the last page. Also if you’re into politics, this book is one amazing read. ♥️♥️♥️

Could not attend @patientshelpinghands' today's event at National Institute of Child Health, so here's a throwback to 14.08.17. 💚
Hope you all celebrated this Independence Day with patriotism and jazba junoon. However, patriotism is not just wearing the bicolor clothes, decorating home with buntings or singing national songs, kal agar zameen p jhandi giri dikhe to utha lijye ga.
Kiya aap mehsoos kersakte hain uss shukhs ke dil ki kefiyat jab usne apnay ghar walay aur ghar dono azaadi ki raah mein qurbaan kerdiye?
Kiya aap mehsoos kersakte hain uss shukhs ke dil ki kefiyat jab usne Pakistan ki sar zameen pe pehla qadaam rakha hoga aur azaadi ki khushi mehsoos hogi?
Kya aap mehsoos kersakte hain uss shakhs ke dil ki kefiyat jab usne suna hoga "Yeh radio Pakistan hai, apko Pakistan mubarak ho"?
Mehsoos kerke dekhein.
Jashan e Azaadi Mubarak!
