Running my own business sometimes means keeping odd hours, working weekends and taking holiday trips after the holidays are over. THIS weekend, though, is mine all mine! My big plans include day trip with the family, campfire chats with friends and a weekend for pure creativity. What do you have planned for this upcoming weekend?
Pagando a língua! 😋
This one loves brushing her teeth so much. I never have to ask her more than once. She runs upstairs and I find her sitting like this... she even manages to put the right amount of toothpaste on and doesn’t get it everywhere. Love this cutie.

Slipping and sliding out the office door into the weekend as fast as humanly possible. I often think that there is nothing more torturous for a creative brain than to be trapped in a square cube all day having to do, look, and say as someone else expects us to. Tired, y’all! I remember running through the wet grass (anyone?) sprinklers on without a care in the world. More of that. All week, not just the weekend. Let’s make moves.
My kids are so close together in age that I’m pretty sure Micah is only now really acknowledging that Levi exists over a year in 😂. So I love capturing the connection between siblings that are old enough to “get it”. Usually it means a lot of smothering for the younger ones but all that squishing makes for adorable pictures!
This is a note to myself as much as it’s a note to anyone. So often I find myself caught up with concerns like how I’m going to meet my professional goals and balance enough quality family time, all the while finding time to myself for my own sanity. And let me tell you: that gets daunting. The truth of THIS moment, though, is I’m sipping a cup of peppermint tea, and literally nothing about this isn’t awesome. There are so many awesome ‘right nows.’ This is a reminder to spend more time there.
