I thought I would share what’s in my snack  cupboard right now because these kinds of posts were super helpful to me when I first started a low carb/keto type diet. I am a snack person who grew up ALWAYS having chips in the house. Bbq chips specifically are one of the loves of my life.😭Anyways, I’m not too into pork rinds so I usually go for Parmesan crisps and different nuts to fill the void. Right now I have sriracha cashews, @sonomacreamery pepper jack Parmesan crackers (1 carb per cracker so I eat in moderation), mini Parmesan crisps, and @bluediamond habanero bbq (the best flavor IMO😍) and salt/vinegar almonds. My first day I bought this scale I weighed 444.8 on it. All I’ve heard from people since I dedicated myself last year was things like “your gonna plateau” “you’ll gain it back” “the weight loss will slow down” “your skin will be loose and look horrible” “your diet is not proper” “you don’t do the right stuff in the gym” My diet isn’t the best 💯 My discipline with my diet probably isn’t very good 💯 I don’t feel I have the best knowledge when it comes to dieting 💯  What I do have is a stubbornness about me and a will to not quit that has allowed me to reach my 2 year goal of losing 200lbs in 10 months. I have the best family 💯 I have the best friends 💯 I have the best trainer 💯 I have the best girlfriend 💯I have the best support system that believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself 💯 I will always be ashamed of the past, even regret putting all this out to the public. However, if it helps one person get their life back, it was worth it 💯 If I had a crystal ball this time last year and could see myself where my life is today I could not put a price on what I would of paid to be where I am. Dieting doesn’t have to be excessively hard! Eating right will make the process a whole lot easier!

First things first, you want to maintain a higher protein intake to preserve lean muscle mass while trying to lose weight. Meat and egg whites are ideal to up the protein. When purchasing steak, or beef go for the leaner cuts.

For carbs, Oats and potatoes are great, because they are very filling for the calories they contain. Sweet potatoes are great too, just make sure not to fry them in a excessive amount of oil, esp vegetable oil.  I would recommend baking, or boiling them.

Berries are another great source of antioxidants and micronutrients. Strawberries give you the most volume per gram, and also are an amazing sweet treat.

Broccoli is my go to veggie because I honestly prefer the taste opposed to other veggies. Broccoli contains fiber/micronutrients and is great to add volume to your meals. You want to make sure your eating nutritious foods, esp when your body is being deprived of calories!

If you’re a peanut butter lover, PB2 is amazing for when you want some PB in oats, or on toast without the excessive fat!

Lastly, include some of your favorite foods into the diet. The key is to use moderation and plan the food into the diet ahead of time. Instead of having a whole pizza have a slice, Instead of eating half a dozen donuts eat two!

I never really liked swimming for that exact reason, i would put of having that fun time with my son because of my insecurities, untill i started looking at myself in a different way. Instead of pointing out all the things i hated on my body i would point out all the things i liked. You get to a point in life where noone elses comments matter to you, live in the moment. Life is way to short to hide because your afraid of what others will think, get out there and enjoy life cause i bet most of the people that will be looking at you will be thinking wow good on her, hold your head high and ur confidence will really shine through ❤ left: 20.10.18

For clients I normally limit carbs for strict weight loss, and put in lots of carbs 🍚👍when trying to add mass

I time carbs for pre and post workout when restricting calories. Keep them around the workout to help fuel and recover. 
When carb intake is high in order to gain mass and strength, I prefer carbs that are easy to digest such as white rice and some fruits such as 🍊 and/or orange juice. OJ helps stimulate appetite, plus tastes awesome! ✅😛💦Personal preference... who knew you could drink oj on a diet!
