My #sundayfunday definitely happened yesterday between a car show, horse races, food and drinks so this morning started in the only way that it could.....paying my dues of cardio and apologizing to my body 🤣
Even though I'm on vacation the grind isnt going to be put on hold. Now am I going to stick 100% to prep, No. Am I going to enjoy my time, eat some food I shouldn't and have a couple drinks, Yes. However am I going to keep throwing it down in the gym and staying concise of the food choices I'm making while recentering my mind and soul, Absolutely. Also I think I'm going to take advantage of the tranquility here to get back onto my posing and start working on a routine that will be worthy of the package we will be bringing this time 💯
Deadlifts before breakfast... the ‘T-Rex arm’ version.. For those of us with silly short arms raising the plates off the ground to have the bar around mid shin height (upto anywhere below the knee) is a great way to get weight heavy, technique safe and preserve the back strengthening effects of the deadlift. This really helps prevent lower back injury from rounding when trying to reach lower than your body naturally is comfortable with good technique. I like to alternate between this and sumo deadlifts when training, but as it’s been a few months since I last deadlifted today was all about the raised bar! 😁 5x5@160, not bad for first fasted back session for a while..! Keeping fuelled with @rcr_nutrition pre-workout and BCAAs! I’m convinced that the body fat percentage part of the scale is WORTHLESS. But it was a GOOD day to weigh in. Almost 38 lbs down. And falling. Progress!! Some days all I can do is crush one major goal for the day. #PlantYourFlagNOW
The cobbler, two peaks done (hard route). Arrochar. #thecobbler#cobbler#benarthur#lochlong#scotland#scotlandsbeauty . I conquered this while fasted. 22hours of no food by the time I got to the top. Fasting has endless benefits to your health and I highly recommend it to anyone. We didn't always eat all day long and we don't need to now.
This is my "warm up" at the gym, before the focus workout. Today was legs. Round 4 of 5, which explains the the sloppy kettlebell swings. I mix it up through the week, and I am fasted for about 13 hours. I turned the sound off, I think.
10 x 28kg kettlebell swings
10 x 28kg kettlebell rows
5 x 110kg deadlifts (I'm guessing that bar was 30kg, cuz the plates were 20 and it felt heavier than the 100 kg I was doing before)
15 push-ups, feet raised about 2'
10 box jumps
60 bicycle crunches
Waiting on my niece to be born today but I woke up to news that there is complications. They’re a few states away so I’m just feeling powerless and anxious. Don’t think I can eat anything today, almost feels better just to fast as I’d probably not be able to keep anything down. Had an intense workout to shake the nerves but not sure what to do with myself while I wait for good news 🤞🏻❤️🤞🏻❤️
I have my days where I just don’t want to wake up and do anything. I snooze my alarm at least 3 times before I actually wake up to get ready for my cardio. I get in my ruts too. But I still do it no matter what. Today I feel like I found my will again. My reason. When people don’t have competitions, they typically do not go very hard or even diet properly. I’ll never fall into that category. Running is something I actually enjoy doing. And it’s what I’ve found to be most effective when doing a HIIT style variation of it. If you believe you’re going to kill your muscle by doing so, then you’re more than likely just lazy and don’t want to actually push your body. Stair masters and ellipticals are cool and all, but it’s honestly the easiest thing to do. Who wouldn’t want to watch YouTube videos or text while doing cardio? That’ll sure push you.
