Evening glue-up. Things gotta get worse before they get better. She's looking a little rough right now, but I see her for the beauty she is underneath all that mess. In fact, she's gonna be gorgeous. Just you wait.
It’s Thanksgiving break. My babies are out of school, I’m prepping to make a turkey and 4 pies with homemade crusts 🤤, and my house is clean🙌. Oh, and the hubs is on his way home with CFA for dinner, because of the sleepy tot you see on my couch. Can you see my Xmas decor creeping out? Our Xmas tree will be delivered Friday, and I’m so excited. We ordered a 9’ flocked @kingofchristmas tree for this crazy tall room. .
Guest bathroom make-over update! #constructionzone still, but getting closer! Shower should be complete tomorrow, as well as the last of the floor tile. New countertop install is scheduled for Wednesday. Then to and I will focus on the electrical, plumbing trim, drywall repairs, new baseboard throughout, shiplap, paint and final clean. Still lots to do but I think the worst part is just about complete. I can't wait to get my house cleaned and smelling fresh! And for my kids to have a functioning bathroom! Stay tuned for more updates on this #bathroommakeover .
This little town gets so pretty at Christmas time! 😍
I’d would LOVE to know where you live :) drop my a comment below and lemme know! 👇🏻
If you’re new here: I’m in the mountains of NC near a tiny town named West Jefferson.
Yesterday I decided to tackle a mini project. My in-laws gave us an antique piece that had solid bones, but was a bit scratched and chipped up. I went back and forth on whether or not I should paint it my favorite color of all time (Agreeable Gray by @sherwinwilliams ) or leave it rustic and woody.
We have a lot of wood going on in our home right now, so I decided to paint it and see how it turned out. I’m so glad I did, because I’m absolutely in love with it! It adds a bit of brightness to our dark browns and woods.
Moral of the story; go with your gut! Swipe to see a before photo.
Since we moved in too our first home in June, life has been crazy, crazy busy but amazing & overwhelming too! Our home has (kinda) been set aside during all the 'new' in our lives, but I'm not complaining.
Winter has arrived & now we can make our first brand new home- OUR HOME!!! Sorry not sorry in advance for all the upcoming house posts.
Stay tuned!!! 💍🏡🍷🛠👫❤
I was in west elm this morning shopping with my mother in law and sister in law and saw all the cute holiday decor and thought “why do I have to wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate?” Got home and immediately pulled out all the boxes. Adding a few simple touches here and there and can confidently say the research is true - people who decorate for Christmas earlier are happier. 😍❤️🌲

Handmade in Africa, heavy cotton is woven by hand in strips which are then sewn together, and the graphic pattern (symbols which all have meaning) are hand stamped on the cotton using fermented mud.
The beauty of mud cloth is it's versatility to adapt to and mix with a variety of styles. If you love modern, boho, traditional, farmhouse, contemporary, or minimal styles (or perhaps a combination?), mud cloth pillows are your secret weapon to a collected, impeccable pillow story. Any mud cloth lovers out there who can attest?
All of these authentic mud cloth pillows will be galloping into my Etsy shop (and some have already arrived). Just head on up to the link in profile ☝️
Custom media stand we built for a local client to match furniture we built for them 5 or 6 years back.
It's always difficult to match finishes, especially from years back. My finishing skills have improved and evolved over time, so it was tricky to get a very similar look while using current techniques.
They were pleased. I delivered this and two other pieces this past week and had the opportunity to look at and critique my past work. Always interesting. They still love the older pieces, I saw flaws and things I would change. Such is the life of a craftsman I guess, constantly improving and evolving.
The day you think you know it all and quit trying to improve is the day you should walk away.

And OMG! .
Also, i think i left the flag up 🤦♀️ sorry mailman!
Marcus loves me so much he put these up at 10PM last night 🙊😂 Right babe? 😉 Seriously though I love them so dang much, but not gonna lie my favorite part about this picture might be the tiny artwork Blake taped up herself. 😍 http://liketk.it/2yi0i #liketkit @liketoknow.it
In one of our most recent services, in this beautiful home, we find a very original idea to place the TV in the living room, without losing aesthetics and blending very well with this environment. It looks like a painting! #interiordesign#smartidea
Ah, y’all...i can’t wait to live here! Especially with all of that dirt leveled out and grass planted on it 😂.
I’m slightly regretting my siding color choice but I’m trying not to dwell on it (it’s leaning more yellow than I’d like in certain lighting 😢) because i know if i don’t love it once everything is said and done i can change it or paint it 👊🏻 (i mean, that’s not in the budget right now but still 😂).
Come check out my stories for some pics of the inside!!! .
Oh, but i need your tips below for moving with an outdoor dog and cat...like, making sure they know that that’s their new home?!?
