BORNEO - DAY 7 continued
What a surprise to see other animals as well as 🐊 here. Among the hundred or so reptiles (some taken from the Kinabatangan River) you’ll find an aviary of birds, ponds full of large Amazonian fish, snakes, turtles, otters, and an ostrich! I ain’t gonna lie, google it and you’ll find mixed reviews. There are many concerned about how the animals are being looked after here, including us. Not sure if we would recommend it but if you’re in Sandakan and need to kill some time, this may be an option.
ENTRY: Viewing the whole park will take you about 1.5 hours and entry is 30MYR for adults and 15MYR for kids. Feeding time is when you’ll really see the beasts in action, otherwise they just lay motionless in the sun. Feeding times are generally mid morning and late afternoon with a crocodile show in between, but these times are subject to change.
LOCATION: The park is about a 30min drive from Sandakan town.
Travel tip #8 - Bring Good Shoes! Whether you choose hiking boots, sneakers with foam insole or a great pair of flip flops - make sure you have already worn them in! Don't wait until you're on vacation to wear your new shoes...that could be very costly for your feet. You need all the stamina you can muster up to walk, hike, explore, do, see....you name it! Your feet are so important to you having the best vacation possible. Avoid the blisters, heel pain, red rashes...know what's comfortable and bring it! It saves you money in the long run (unless buying new shoes on vacation was on your hidden agenda all along...LOL)! Call me and I can help with all your travel needs...Exclusive pricing/sales/promotional offers! I'm here to help!
First my mother in law was confused that the cat was died 😂. but the cute cat was sleeping so deeply. Later the cuttie moved to shadow in order to avoid sunshine and kept sleeping. It is so cute😍😺! #familytravel#taiwan#cat#catvillage#sleepingcat#ilovemyfamily#ilovecat
Life is not about things you collect... it’s about memories you make.
Cool bus... fajny żółty amerykański autobus szkolny... a wyobrażasz sobie w nim spać? 🤔 my spędziliśmy właśnie w nim jedną noc w naszej amerykańskiej podróży po zachodnich stanach 🤩
At first glance, this small town among the cypresses north of Florence looks like an elegant, leafy suburb of its more famous neighbour. But there’s much, much more to Fiesole. Discover the ancient Etruscan history, Roman ruins and panoramic views of Fiesole using our Travel Guide.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
📍Playa los Cañones, Viña Del Mar .
Next to last day in Phu Quoc; we’ve had a slower pace here and especially the last couple of days as Ollie was a bit under the weather. However we took a trip down to the cable car today - it’s pretty impressive - taking you high over some of the Southern Islands before finishing at the nature park. It was a bit overcast today but still very hot!! The views from the car were spectacular although I confess to being slightly baffled by the Romanesque entrance at the beginning 😂😂. #familyholiday#familytravel#familytravels#phuquocisland#phuquoccablecar#wednesdaymood
The children were very excited when they met Smurfette! It is a very cool park and is suitable for children of all ages.
Discover the magic of Hollywood! Three world-famous motion picture studios: Dreamworks Animation, Columbia Pictures, and Lionsgate.
So when we travel with the kids we like to immerse them in the local culture. We try to walk as much as possible to fully appreciate our surroundings. We have done this from them being babies so they are used to walking literally miles. But in doing so we come across so many amazing sights we might otherwise have missed. Like all kids they always want something so we have found that giving them ways to earn their own spends beforehand works really well. Chores around the house, good school reports it all adds up. For this trip each child had £20 each to spend. Then the fun began. We explained how haggling works and it was their job to barter and haggle for the best deals to get the most with their money. Sibling competition meant they were each pumped to get spending in the souks trying to get a better deal than each other. The Moroccan people are so warm and friendly and loved the kids having a go. On the flip side it is a great maths exercise whilst having a fun experience. #familytravelblogger#adventureparenting#familytravel#marrakech#morocco#souks#shopping#brothers#explore#showthemtheworld#whosaidyoucanttravelwithkids#haggling#market#letthemexplore#momof4#familyof6
