I’m such a proud mommy this evening! My little sprout had her first ballet recital today! And, despite the look she has on her face, she had a blast 🥰 (And was the best obviously 😜) I remember doing this when I was her age and now I know how my mom felt watching us! I’m so proud! #ballet#recital#holiday#family

"To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. — Ralph Waldo Emerson.
"I'm strict about manners. I think that kids have a horrible time with other people if they have bad manners ...The one thing you've got to be prepared to do as a parent is not to be liked from time to time."
"My instinct is to protect my children from pain. But adversity is often the thing that gives us character and backbone. It's always been a struggle for me to back off and let my children go through difficult experiences."
