Today it snowed for the first time and here I am, posting pictures from autumn 🍂. I took a little hiatus from Instagram, so long some of you noticed and even wrote me messages if everything was fine (which made me smile, thank you). I am actually fine, just was busy with my internship and couldn’t get into the Instagram mindset during it. Tomorrow it’s ending, which makes me quite sad, as I really really enjoyed being there. As if this were not enough, I am also quitting my job where I have been for 4,5 (!) years. It kind of feels unreal, I took this job during the second semester of my bachelors, now I am finishing my masters and new (scary / exciting / both) things are waiting for me. Truth to be told: I don’t like change. Never have, probably never will that much. But I have learned with the time that hating change often comes with a negative mindset: not wanting to leave your comfortable situation because surely, that new thing waiting for you has to be worse or everything will turn out to be bad and such. I am slowly backing away from this view, because honestly, I can’t know. I can’t know what will happen. Maybe the new thing waiting for me (a 6 month paid full-time internship) will be horrible and I won’t enjoy it. But like everything else, it will be just a station. Either an up or a down on this rollercoaster called life. But it won’t be permanent. And it will teach me something. So i am trying to have an open mind and an open heart. An old year is ending, old things are ending. I can’t wait for what is going to happen now. ✨

☾I’ve been watching Archie wrap presents all day today, whilst also watching Christmas films. He’s been nudging me every half an hour or so to help out because I have the tiniest attention span, and thus got bored of present wrapping within the first minute. I’m a very festive gal.☽
Don’t be fooled - I really hate bath time. 😑
Jax is still very itchy from our move. I’m trying a medicated shampoo, a sardine and flax seed oil, and other anti- itch supplements. Any tips? I’m really hoping it isn’t allergies... (yes we’ve gone to the vet. Giving the shampoo time to work before trying allergy meds)
I wonder if we really do decorations for the holiday, 🤔or it’s just too cold and nothing has color, 😑 all the trees are dying 🗻so we hang these pretty branches and ribbons 🎄and sit under it while we brunch, and pretend we’re so warm 😂
POWERS is known for many firsts, including the Irish Coffee. In 1943, on a weary winter eve, Joe Sheridan – a chef at a restaurant in Foynes airport of County Limerick – was tasked with preparing a warm drink for passengers of a delayed flight. The original recipe, made with POWERS, is a mainstay at pubs to this day.
