I just adore looking at and working in my garden in the spring and summer. It brings me joy and there’s magic in my life because of it. I’m finally doing the things I waited to do for years and while overwhelming, my growth is raw and beautiful and worthy of sharing.
I saw a wonderful quote on IG today from @noel_russ that spoke to me. It was such a beautiful description of the necessity of discomfort and pain to find and expose your truth and beauty.
“It’s a lot of stretching
Of bending over backwards
Being broken open from within
And spread widely
It’s folding in places
Where there are no seams
And exposing your center
For all the world to see
This feeling of bearing it all
Revealing your deepest workings
This is how you know
It just felt perfect to me because I’ve known the pain of folding where there are no seams. I am trying new things and stretching my comfort zones all while holding onto and rediscovering the things that make me me. It’s that combination of growth and rebirth from my own DNA that makes me feel like I’m blooming.
This shot is part of a creative series of jumpshots. My goal is to post 365 jumps in 365 days. It may or may not be a picture of me.
