Instagram can make community a possibility. When you’re in business for yourself, it can sometimes get a little lonely without your typical coworkers commiserating with you or high fiving you throughout the day. But then you turn around and realize that there is this whole world of people that love the things you love and it’s possible to meet with them in person and create your own real life community! I was able to do that yesterday when I met up with @melissakeyser for coffee and she gave me these incredible dried poppy pods. It’s so easy to get lost in the world of social media, but to remember that it can also create a beautiful community for you is such wonderful thing...just don’t meet creepy people at night in dark alleys, that’s weird. #staysafe#bloomsacramento
This lady right here has been the biggest supporter of this business from day one. She was the queen of gardening and was in multiple magazines for her “small” San Francisco patio garden she created. When I told her I was quitting my stable and reliable job to focus on flowers, she couldn’t have been more thrilled. She was the most incredible role model anyone could ask for. Her knowledge, love of adventure, her joy of doing all things differently, how she was bffs with absolutely everyone, just everything about her made me so freaking grateful to be her granddaughter. Last night we had to say goodbye. She was 92 and ready to go. She will be forever missed and always loved. My grandmother would hate the tears that I’ve cried for her. She would rather me have a martini and go get some flowers. So that’s what I’ll do in between a few tears (because I’m still me) — play in some flowers and try to figure out what a virgin martini is...I’m pretty sure that’s just looking at a gin bottle because of the way she used to make them 😂 🍸💐💔 #bloomsacramento
Marigolds are incredibly easy-going and reliable under a wide range of growing conditions. Once planted, marigolds grow rapidly with no fuss. Most thrive in full sun, taking hot, sunny exposures in stride.
And just like that I am back to being a plant lady after a week of being a full time jewelry lady in Texas. Now to get these deliveries out and check on our flower sites and see the damage being gone for a week has done 🙈👩🏼🌾 #bloomsacramento
UPDATE: It’s rudbeckia! Same family as black eyed Susan’s. You can check out my story to see the bed of them and how different they all are!
Anyone wanna take a guess at what type of flower this is? (Flower friends you don’t get to play 😂) #bloomsacramento

Is anyone else confused at what day it is!? Wednesday holidays totally throw me for a loop! But anyways HAPPY FRIDAY! I’m Amanda and I’m the gal “running” things over here! I figured we should do a #fridayintroductions real quick since it’s been a while. 3 things you may not know about me:
1. The caramel sauce at @leatherbyscreamery is my jam. No other caramel sauce will do on my ice cream.
2. Now, if you want Caramel to eat with apples, then you have to have the one that it is made @applehill_highhillranch at @applehill.
3. I also am weird about syrup. I use sugar free on certain things and regular on others but I only use real maple syrup on the frozen gluten free waffles from @traderjoes
What can I say? I’m kind of a weirdo. 😂🤷🏼♀️ tell me 3 things about you! #bloomsacramento
Happy 4th of July! I hope you are able to celebrate with your family and friends today! And if you are one of the “lucky” ones that don’t get holidays off, just know that we are thankful for you! #bloomsacramento
Last year Congress passed a resolution declaring July “American Grown Flowers Month” to recognize the economic and cultural impact of America’s cut flower and greens farmers! We're celebrating all month long 🎉 with @americangrownflowers

BTS of this photo. I had just knocked over a glass vase and it shattered everywhere and I was of course not wearing shoes. So this photo came from me contorting my body so I didn’t move my feet but could still take a photo. 💐🤦🏼♀️😂🤷🏼♀️#doitforthegram#bloomsacramento
