You reach a point in your life when your tolerance level completely dismisses any sort of nonsense. What used to be tolerable, is no longer acceptable within your point of view. This is mostly because, you’ve outgrown the people around you. You’ve developed interests that no longer serve a purpose for previous relationships. A “friend” acts shady? cut them off. A new “companionship interest” becomes a nuisance? slice them off. A new business venture doesn’t deliver within the first month? rip it up! The older you get, the shorter your life becomes. You can not literally afford to spend anymore of your precious time with people, and on things that you absolutely cannot rely on! “Good times” are memories, “Better Times” are always ahead. “Good luck” - Marco from Tropoja* voice #vscocam
About an hour and a half bus ride east of Medellin is the town of Guatapé. We were only able to stay for a few hours but it was well worth it. I will share more photos from here, but I fear it will never fully capture the presence of such an enriching site. If any of you ever plan on going to Medellin you need to make a day trip here!
The setting sun mixed with the fog made for a very surreal golden glow. 10 minutes later a thunderstorm rolled through and we ended up cooking dinner over the fire in the rain. As it poured, we stood eating, using the car hood as a dinner table, and laughing at the absurdity that we chose to drive 30+ hours to see a band and camp in the rain instead of relaxing at the beach with the rest of my family. For some reason though, I don't think we would want it any other way.
