Do you prefer old / secondhand books or new books?
I’ve always tried to buy books from a charity shop or thrift store, because books are definitely not cheap & if I wanted to read a newly released book I would just pop into my local library.
Presenting one of our newest brunch items! Our Eggs Benny Croissant-wich has scrambled eggs, your choice of bacon or smoked salmon, melted cheddar, greens & Hollandaise sauce - all inside our famous Charcoal Croissant. Yum! Available at our Yonge/Sheppard location this weekend.
There's no such thing as a Frilu lunch - so we had dinner instead! 😂 Swipe left for all ten dishes from our tasting menu! 😍😍😍 (Please excuse the change in lighting. We had dinner as the sun was setting 🙈). @frilu_restaurant #tastingmenu#minimalism#asianfusion#pun#travelsizechewyfloss
Frilu popped on our radar recently as we're always looking for new and interesting places to try. It's a restaurant that specializes in seasonal tasting menus AND it's uptown (so rare to find something like this up here. This is the only restaurant of its kind that we know of in this area) AND there's three desserts (which includes a pre-dessert - didn't even know that was a thing 😍). We got the 'Lavish Spring' ten-course tasting menu (they just recently switched to a seafood Summer menu so check that out!). With our big appetites, we weren't sure if we'd be full from the small portions but by the end of the meal, we were so stuffed! Everything's made and prepared exceptionally well and the staff treats you with the utmost care. This might just be one of our favourite uptown restaurants yet!
