Thankful to be able to continue to add memories to this trailer. These boys love spending time with their trailer. My youngest was even looking for his seatbelt so he could ride back there. A little old school cool.
I’ll be on the road for 13 hours today. (In a car not like 👆🏽) Thankfully, I love the road! Even the boring highway driving. The flat fields of the Midwest. The towns with one stoplight. The farms dotting the landscape.
I feel a sense of flow on the road. Mindfulness. I see things. Really see them. Appreciate them. The places in between airports. The things you find when you follow the billboards and those brown parks and recreation signs. I find peace.
So gimme some podcast recommendations (for later when I’m over the romance of it all 😳) I’m caught up on most of mine and I’m open to anything!
Meet "Raintree" - thought to be the oldest living thing in the state of Nevada. It is an old Bristlecone Pine that's over 3000 years old. Its only a 6 mile hike, has about a 1700 ft. elevation change and towers about 10,000 ft. above sea level taking about 3.5 hrs one way to get to... 😉
Find clarity in the mountains around us. Hiking provides opportunities for introspection, increased awareness and knowledge of one’s self and the environment, connectedness to others and relaxation. It promotes moving meditation, encouraging mindfulness of the present moment and peacefulness of mind and body - building respect for the environment, gratitude, perspective and skills for stress reduction. ⛰
