So Chatsworth house may well be the most Christmassy place I’ve visited on all my travels, except perhaps Bruges!
What a treat having a place like this in my very own Derbyshire.
The Christmas trees are just incredible...... so many of them, all ceiling high and beautifully decorated.
I can’t believe it’s taken me 34 years to see it for myself. *aside* - We did get told off though for putting our bags down whilst taking pics 😂 @jo_higgy was not amused.
Where’s the most Christmassy place you’ve ever been to?
Scotney Castle, England 🏴 Repost: @katya_jackson ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️ Isn’t it a cute little castle!? I loved how the castle walls look with the moat surrounding them.
Scotney Castle has a long history. The first people to live here was in 1137. From 1778, the Hussey family took over the castle. Luckily for us, this family maintained a scrap book documenting their lives in Scotney. It tells us a lot about how the castle changed during the centuries.
The family’s line died out in 1970 with the death of Christopher Hussey. The ownership of this scenic castle then passed on to the National Trust.
The website of the castle lists some really cool secrets. Here are some of them: 🎄 There’s a secret door in the library that looks like a bookshelf. 🎄Margaret Thatcher had an apartment here when she was Prime Minister. That’s so cool!

Bristol is one of my favourite cities in the UK. It literally has something for everyone. From hikes around the beautiful Ashton Court and strolls along the harbour to the abundance of independent breweries, coffee shops and the culture and street art of Stokes Croft. In summer the city boasts an eclectic variety of festivals and when the weather gets colds there’s always a cosy pub within a few minutes walk. 😍
How long is your dishwashing sponge's life? How many of them will you bin next year, or in your lifetime? The mess you're making in landfills will not go away for hundreds of years. Your children and grandchildren will only add more and more... So, why not try a “green” alternative, like this sustainable and biodegradable Eco Coco Nut range? And they're naturally antibacterial too!
