When we feel loved and that we belong we are given a solid base. From here, we can face the challenges life throws at us...big or small. 🏡 It starts at home. From our survey (link below) siblings with sisters or brothers with an eating disorder feel like they no longer have a place in their family. 🆘 They feel alone
❤ They miss time with their parents
📚 They want to help but don't know how
Parents, there is HOPE! 😀 Along with the survey below, siblings can find help at kymadvocates.com - We are working to create groups, education and simply a place for siblings to connect with other siblings, hear their story and find the education they crave! 👪 They just want some time with you. They are very clear that they know the pressure and stress you are under. This is why you may not know they are struggling. 15 minutes of your time could be the difference!! 📖 One of the questions I most often hear from parents is, "should I tell the sibling about the eating disorder?" Yes, Yes, Yes!! More than likely they already know. If not, they sense something is very wrong and it scares them. Keeping that secret makes everything feel bad and frightening. Make sure the information is age appropriate, give them some ways to help and check in with how they feel!
Our sibling survey is still open, please let us know about your experience so we can better serve you! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SJRW9B7 * * * * * * * * * *

Back in 2012 I participated in a rigorous goal setting program. Each participant had three months to compete three goals. The goals had to be measured by the SMART acronym... Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, & Timely. My biggest goal was to write an entire full length novel, and in the end I finished my goals early, so I took on a fourth challenge to get in better shape for our grad event which is featured in the photo above.
Those facts of the program fall by the wayside for me when I look back on those three months however. What meant more to me was the time I spent with my team. The time I spent taking one phone call after another encouraging the others to keep striving for what they said they wanted; Not to give up; To reach further than they every thought they could.
I heard angry words, and happy ones. Sad words, and stressed out ones. And every conversation was an instant give back. Every time I was able to help someone, I helped myself as well and at the end of the three months on what turned out to be one of the best, most heart-warming days of my life! ... The team chose me to be their leader and they honoured me with this award which has a special place on my mantel to this day.
The pinnacle of reward is so much sweeter when the journey has twisted, turned, gone over rocks and smooth places and led us to exactly where we are supposed to be!

Covering in 2 posts because this place was so beautiful. Autumn had hit it majestically.
It seemed the further you went north the earlier autumn had hit. £3 to park here all day, that's it. There loads of walks and I went off for an explore.
The guy who worked there was telling me of all the bugs they get there, crazy things you'd expect in a tropical rainforest.
I normally take bug spray everywhere but I'd left it at home thinking, it's north Scotland, in October, i don't need that.
Luckily it was end of the season and they were all starting to die off. It was just crazy, I'd of never expected that.
We were told residents did not like the presence of foreigners but found the complete opposite. A family invited us over for Coca-Cola and Pox at the church and then and invited us back to their home for a meal. They live in the country side and farm their own corn and apples.
Inside they have their own shrine to honor Jesus, Mary and the saints. We participated in a ritual to bless their house. The Pox kept coming and not wanting to be rude, I accepted and started to feel light headed quickly.
The family consists of Salvador Pacheco and María Gómez Gómez, a healer. Together they have 7 daughters and plenty of grandchildren. I tried to count as they whizzed around but failed.
They served us roast corn, the blessed chicken and gave us woven bracelets. When we left, Salvador became incredibly emotionally and started calling me ‘mi hija’ which means my daughter. We are all invited to come back anytime and specifically for a celebration in December. They did all of this simply because they wanted to and wouldn’t accept anything in return. #mexico#sanjuanchamula#travel#culture#experiences#family#mayan
Hi mommy’s !!
Breastfeeding was an amazing beautiful experience don’t be scared to give it a chance, it’s worth trying.
In this video I share a little of my experience maybe it could be of any help to any moms curious about breastfeeding.
Every mother has a different story to tell, if you can’t there are also now many milk with less chemicals you can offer your child so not to worry or feel bad if it doesn’t work out.
Many blessings much love and feel free to message me any questions, I love to help or share what worked for me.

The one thing about the 2 weeks I visited Aruba that I really miss (except for the paradise it is) is the fact that I did not really check my phone for 2 weeks.
Im happy right now if I don’t check it for 2h🙄. Man, too easy to get caught up in this screen, almost scary. I do think smartphones & social media are THE BEST, but only when you’re in control not the other way around 🔁.
@ TAG someone you wanna travell with⤵️🛩
we are thrown into this world
with no rule book
no map to guide us
just an innate knowingness that always seems to linger on the tip of the tongue
we grew up in a world
that knew no judgement
little heads with big imaginations
that knew no boundaries
but somewhere between then and now we were conditioned to believe otherwise
conditioned to fear what it’s like
to be different
to not follow society’s bounding rule book .
tune in with your true self
what are your dreams?
what are your passions?
what’s stopping you from chasing them?
stop fearing the unknown
& embrace it. ⠀⠀
this quote always gets me : “this is how magic is done —
by hurling yourself into the abyss
and discovering it’s a feather bed.” ⭐️💫🍋🌜🌻💛
I got off Ben and was soaked. Not from rain, snow or any other kind of weather, just from sweat. My clothes were soaked through.
At the bottom of carrauntoohil there are showers but not at Ben.
So i travago'd some hotels and as it was last minute there was a right posh one reduced from £200 a night to £48 I think it was.
There was no rule I'd gotta sleep in the car the car the whole time, that was just to keep down cost. So i booked it. Rich needed a shower or bath or summat.
So i pulled up to this posh hotel in the car that had had an argument with a number 9 bus, that 2 dickheads have reversed into the same side within the same year and it doesn't half look out of place.
I pull next to reception, the dodgy side facing the entrance, needless to say when I went back to it later a posher looker car was protecting their entrance for folk coming out of reception.
But never judge a book by its cover, this cars 500 miles into the road trip of the year, and smashing it.
I digress, I got to my room and that was the quickest run bath I ever saw. It took a minute to fill, no joke.
I jumped in. Leaving a pile of muddy wet clothes behind me.
Ate some sandwiches and just chilled, feeling very happy about the days events.
This place had a sauna, pool. Jacuzzi, etc so I went to check it out.
A quick swim later and I started to feel sick and then I was sick in the toilets.
I went back to my room and was sick twice more.
It felt like shock.
I've since spoken to a nurse who said, well u went from freezing temperatures up Ben to a hot bath. Your brain goes into shock, doesn't know what to do with itself so makes you sick.
Anyway I spent the rest of the night feeling like shit.
Watched bttf3 on one of the few channels I could get.
I had a good night's sleep and felt fine the next day.
Breakfast was included and I'd wanted to eat haggis in Scotland so it was a win to see it for breakfast.
I went into fort William and bumped into my twin and found out Glenfinnan was only up the road.
I spoke to this tour guide about kilts and braids and all things Scottish. I've included him here because he's in portrait and Glenfinnan HAS to be landscape...you'll see 😍
Loving your life is about trusting your instinct, taking chances, and learning through experiences. It’s long time journey through at the confusion so live consciously in the moment and enjoy your life as it unfolds. Have faith, and trust and know that everything had to happen exactly the way it did to get to where your going next. ✨ a quote in which is the perfect example of my life as it continues to unfold... #goodnight 🌙
