Today we went to IFly and did our first ever indoor sky dive ! Photo and video of us are come, but it’s fair to say we are hooked ✔️ Such exhilaration and elation in a wind tunnel like that, at an equivalence of jumping at 14,000 ft. It was incredible!!!! 😱 We haven’t stopped smiling all day 😊💙😊 #indoorskydiving#exhilarating#bucketlist ✅ #lovinglife
Zip lining a 5km circuit above the tree canopy - hurtling down a Fijian mountain offering the most gorgeous vistas was thrilling, heart pumping & memory forming. A worthy flashback contender & amazing moment with friends 🤩
It’s #backbendweek here at #ballaratiyengaryoga for all General and Experienced level classes.
Back bends are the most #exhilarating of all the #asana groups. We practise them weekly (or sometimes more!) and they are always both transformative and informative. We learn so much about our bodies and ourselves through backbends.
Of backbends, Iyengar said: “Backbends are not poses meant for exhibitionism. Backbends are (a) means to understand the back parts of our bodies. The front body can be seen with the eyes. The back body cannot be seen; it can only be felt. That’ s why I say these are the most advanced postures, where the mind begins to look at the back, first on the peripheral level, then inwards, towards the core.” Thanks to Melissa for this shot from our recent Friday Night Intensive.
