A big box with new parts arrived today
🔸The biggest part of the shipment is made up by a mechanical disc brake for my folding bike. The pre-installed hydraulic disc brakes seem to leak a bit (when the bike is folded) and I got tired of cleaning the discs and replacing the pads. So yeah for #avid 's BB7 calipers and speed dial 7 brake levers. There are also cables for the brakes. Hopefully this will give me a consistent and reliable brake.
🔸Speaking of hope, (orange) #hopetech parts are notoriously hard to come by lately. I'm still waiting on the headset spacers from end of august and the seat clamp from this order is also on back order.
🔸 Then there are contoured silicon grips by #fabric ,
🔸a magnet hose clip by #evoc for a hydration bladder and
🔸a road bike tyre by #Vittoria , which i intend to use for a chainstay guard, since it was cheaper than a simple neoprene guard.
🔸 The #Dtswiss torque end caps I installed right away on the front wheel of the #bahookie with the help of a 22mm ring spanner and a centerlock ring for lack of the right installation tool. Worked very well though.
🔸 The final piece is a super small and ingenious lockring remover by #uniortools , which easily fits in any tool pack. To loosen the lockring of the cassette, you remove the rear wheel, put the tool on the lockring and the wheel back in the frame. There is a small nose on the tool that rests on the chainstay and thereby keeps the lockring from rotating. All you got to do now is push down on the cranks to rotate the cassette forward and voila the lockring becomes undone.

Estonian CX Nationals 5th place on Elite on last Saturday - This has been one of my favorite races in recent years and I'm so glad that I was able to find good legs for this race, after a few weeks of not so good legs. Course was once again just brilliant and competition fierce, with lot of professionals from road and MTB lining up for the Elite start. Pace was high all the time, but I still managed to rode a trouble free race and even dropped one professional on the last lap - so in overall a great race for me.
I'm also so proud of my teammate @polkisin for his 4th place. After so many hours of traveling together from race to race on last few years with him, it feels so great to do this well as a team in this important race with lot of professional racers lining up with us - it really feels like everything we have done together, kind of paid back in this day - just a a great feeling which will motivate for a long time for sure.
Big thumbs up for @a_juntunen for U23 win / 2nd overall in Elite/U23 also, I've known for years that big things are coming to AJ and I'm sure this is just the beginning of them.
Now it’s going to be 3 weekends of racing in Finland & Estonia and then off to Mallorca for a mid season training camp. After that some more racing and then Finnish Nationals on January!

Well Peru, until next time! Really enjoyed it here in Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Not sure what it is but felt instantly comfortable and at home...next time im back in South America it’s to not only ride but to put a concerted effort into learning Spanish. It’s on the list. The trail is Lamay again, told ya it was a belter!🇵🇪 #Peru#Cusco#mtb#whatisyourbesttrail#sacredrides#ridenowsleeplater
