So I'd like to introduce you to a good friend of mine , Scott , father of 9 , one on the way , #recoveringheroinaddict
I used to be his support worker , he no longer lives with the charitable housing company I used to work for. He now has his own place , the cleanest and tiniest place ever! #everyonedeservesachance
He has been and continues to be the best and most hard working person I've yet had in my home . Teaching him skills , giving him responsibilities... hoping to get him a job after this , although a neighbour already wants him after me . Please be kind and don't always judge 😁
I’m currently 34+ weeks pregnant with twin girls, something that wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the miracle of IVF. Being told your only chance of having babies is through IVF is a devastating thing. Then learning that you have very limited funding and support from the NHS, and that the success rate is only around 30% doesn’t fill you with much hope. You run through just how much money you’re going to potentially spend just for the chance of having a child and it’s beyond heart breaking. Infertility disease affects 1 in 6 couples in the UK. That’s around 3.5 million people living in the U.K. Its strain is often felt physically, emotionally, and financially leaving families devastated, and potentially having to face the prospect of remaining childless.
Sadly, 98% of England’s NHS services and all of Wales and Northern Ireland ration IVF treatment unfairly (despite Scotland providing the recommended treatment to everyone). Infertility has been classified as a disease and everyone fighting this disease deserves equal chance! Let’s all #scream4ivf for fairness in the NHS. Let our screams be so loud Parliament are forced to address the issue. Please take some time to sign the petition - link below and in my bio. Alternatively you can find it on @fertilitynetworkuk page in their bio
A partner who doesn’t have self-awareness or isn’t interested in growing with you is probably not a good bet.
This trait can belong to a person with any primary attachment style.
I believe the popular literature that exists about attachment does not distinguish between people who are lacking self-awareness and people who have avoidant attachment. They are not the same thing.
However, a partner who is willing to learn, who understands their shortcomings and acknowledges their wounds, who is willing to do the uncomfortable healing? Personally, I would say yes to that person. It seems to me that having the expectation that we will begin a relationship with someone who has done all of their healing work and is “perfect” is unreasonable, because I don’t think we are ever "done" if we are staying awake in our lives and continuing to evolve.
How do you know if a partner is interested in growing with you? How do you discern that in the beginning of the relationship? I'm curious about what you look for--and how you know that person is the real deal. 💐
This may seem like a simple photo of a group of young boys. I had just witnessed these young boys bashing the “heck” out of each other. I’m talking really aggressive. When I asked the guide about this, he explained that both groups are selling the shoe covers that are required to be worn over shoes when in the vicinity of the Taj Mahal. There is supposedly an order in which they hawk for business. One group had taken the other groups prospective customer. Makes you think doesn’t it? It is dog eat dog here. #herewithopeneyes#acceptance#everyonedeservesachance#nojudgement#ignoranceisnotbliss#loveindia
I will not judge people for being close minded and cold hearted. But I will say this, it will change your mind when it's you or your kids or sibling or parents needing that narcan. As a recovering addict I hate when I see stuff like this. It shows that people are narrow minded and will never understand the strength or addicts if simply they knew about recovery. As a recovering addict I can assure you that you will never hear me bash another addict or acholic, you will never hear me say let em die and such. Instead of bashing them, tell them out long them and build them up to maybe a place where they need to be to get help. I have taken alot of bad roads in my life but I am on the path now to success, and with that I want to help others, I want to show the world we do recover, I want to shows addicts there is recovery and it works, I want to help those people who everyone else wants to die. I am those people. I am a brother and son and dad and husband and cousin and uncle and friend that simply chose a wrong road. But don't be so quick to judge because we all have demons in our closet but what's great about being an addict or acholic is that we have recovery, we can change and be happy!!! I love you all!! If you know someone that needs help shoot me a private message, I would love to talk to them and share a little experience strength and hope with them!! #wedorecover#recovery#recoveryworks#lovethyneighbor#iloveeveryone#everyonedeservesachance
What happened yesterday? Well I have a new friend. This is “Lily”, also known as “factory cat”. Lily loves Amjad and very rarely gives anyone else the time of day but yesterday as I was working, she decided to settle herself under the table and “possess” my bag and jandals. Lily knows she has it good in this hood. Think “Lady and the Tramp”... So right now we are in full swing making and trialling new patterns to add to our “travelling” collection. It can take a few days to make, trial, tweak and finalise just one pattern. It is quite a process. We received a new vanilla colour sample back from the dyers which is gorgeous. Looks beautiful alongside the white. We are working on a gorgeous wrap skirt. So.. in between all of this, I was an interviewer. Gab has started the process of application to apply to the Charities Board here in India for approval to be a registered Charity. We are starting documenting the framework for reasons why. I knew some of Gabs own background, but yesterday I learned even more about the resilience, core values and incredible compassion of this man. I understand the more in-depth reasons he is here. It was an emotional afternoon. The first step in the pathway of change and hope for young lives. We are lucky that Gabriel is here on this earth after what he has endured. Many would have simply given up. So as you see... this label means so much more than beautiful clothing. Come hold our hands and walk alongside us as we make a difference. #compassion#humanity#humanrights#youthofindia#charity#volunteers#everyonedeservesachance#socialimpact
Good morning Natural Gracers! A long but very enjoyable trip over to New Delhi.. literally off the plane and Gabriel takes me to the village where the vision of the “Sewing Seeds” School simply must become the reality. This village is literally in the heart of Delhi. If any of you have travelled to Delhi, you know to find such a tranquil place in the total chaos is a miracle. There are peacocks roaming, Frangipani trees and even an Aussie gum tree! There has been a playground here in the past that just needs a bit of love. The building earmarked is perfect as there is so much green space around that could be play areas for the children. The beauty of this place is that it is surrounded by military so therefore, safe.....I could literally see and imagine lives being transformed here. Now to only find out who owns the building and to see whether the option of a sale is even possible. Did you notice the heart leaves? .... one step at a time, one day at a time... @tcqtexportpvtltd #schooloflife#everyonedeservesachance#ittakesavillage#passionandpurpose#spreadtheword#kidsofindia

I love you 😍 #sma#smatype1 ..
As many of you know Ella has a drug once every 4 months that's called spinraza the procedure is a lumbar puncture where they take 5ml of spinal fluid and replace it with 5ml of this drug!
Ellas been having it since 9 months old and in total has had 7 lumbar puncture, we don't know the extent of what the drug has done for Ella but what I can tell you is that she was given a life expectancy of 18 months old (she's 2 in a couple of weeks).. And we were told she will never sit on her own and other things!
A few days ago #NICE decided that they wouldn't recommend the drug spinraza so this means for newly diagnosed patients this drug won't be available for them 😪 we're lucky that because Ella already has it she will continue having it but when having such an upsetting diagnoses anyway and now we have hope with this drug it boils down to money!!!!
So many family's will be effected with this decision and we need to do WHATEVER it takes to make sure this isn't the case!
I've been in contact with our MP #Nickymorgan and she's going to speak to the new health secretary as well as I spoke to the Leicester mercy yesterday so Ella will be in the papers (Not 100% sure when) talking about how she's nearly 2 and the drug and this decision! Any publicity on the matter and to get people talking about it that's what we will do! 👊🏻 #EVERYONEDESERVESACHANCE
Sweet little baby. Although she’s scared of her own shadow this little feral kitten loves to be loved. We’ve come a long way with her but it’s so worth it to hear her purr and speak to me because she knows she has a family. #love#kitten#feral#family#everyonedeservesachance
S/o @dynastybarbershop for the cut‼️Image is important in the life that I want to live 🤣 an image can tell someone that you are about business‼️ Image strongly influences other people’s perception of your trustworthiness and intelligence. Communication is important but visual. What we see we remember and what we hear we forget. That’s just society🤷🏾♂️ Thats why positive first impressions are very vital to take any personal and professional relationship forward. The word image really means the impact of your Appearance on others and on yourself.👌🏾😁Although, I would honestly like to change the perception on how society looks at others.🤨 I do not believe in stereotypes. Because not everyone is the same🙃. In the future I would like to change on how others stereotype and make people think differently on other races and cultures.🧐 I would like to prove that how you look does not mean you are not eligible to be in a professional environment‼️ #expeditionunknown#entrepreneur#industrialist#dynastybarbershop#yessirrr#selfimage#success#everyonedeservesachance
