BREAKING: We’ve seen a lot of abused animals over the years, but when we heard about this poor dog in Mexico, we were shocked. Totopo was found in horrific squalor. You can see by this photo, just seconds before his rescue, he was tied on a chain so short that he could not even lay his head down. We have no idea how long he had suffered, but by his condition, it must have been for a very long time. Clearly malnourished with open, painful wounds and bleeding skin, he was near death. A wonderful person convinced his owners to give him up, and Totopo was able to be seen by a vet, where he was diagnosed with a whole host of untreated issues including erlichia, heartworm, anemia, demodex mange, and even ringworm. Despite never experiencing kindness from humans, we're told that he is incredibly sweet, loving and forgiving. We've been working with his amazing rescuers, @rivierarescue and he is on a plane bound for New York as we speak. Totopo will arrive tomorrow to continue his care. If you can spare anything, please consider making a DONATION to Totopo today to help offset the cost of his continuing treatments (link in bio)! Totopo needs you.

A cow was reported this evening who was in a collapsed condition in Mangalore. Krupali had reported the case and exactly an year back as well the same case was treated on site for a rotten tail wound.
Immediately rushed in to find her stomach swollen like a balloon. It looked almost twice the normal size, again rice to blame. Rice isn't good for cows, causes gas, bloating and they die if the gas isn't released immediately. And worst part is they lie flat on the ground which again blocks the oesophagus which stops the gases from going out again causing more problems.
Immediately rushed in to the medical stores, picked up a bottle of gelusil which was administered. In the meanwhile spoke to Dr.Yashwasi if anything else could be done to help her, and he suggested another tonic to reduce bloating. Had to rush to Pet hut in kadri, pick and rush back in all the peak traffic of evening. Luckily within half an hour all meds were administered and we made her sit up as well so that the gas accumulation could stop. Burps started in no time and stomach looked better so reached home happily.
Within no time again a pic came that she's lying flat and the stomach was swollen again. Rushed in again late night, after all the repitations, finally she stood up after a long ordeal of 5 hours from 6 30 to 11 30.
What a sigh of relief this has been. I really believe this was a very close call with pupils dilated, tongue out, shivering and such a big swollen stomach. We were really lucky today..!! ❤️ #rescue#RescueTales#rescued#rescuer#RescuerLife#Rescuestories#cows#cowsofinstagram#cowstagram#HART#mangalore#Mangalorerescues#mangalorediaries#mangaloredays#animalsofinstagram#animals#animalsworld#love#Friends#friendships#rescuestory#Rescuestories#rescuelove#savinglives#savinglivesonedayatatime#savingliveseveryday#EveryLifeMatters

Sweet, 62-pound gentle boy Ali is heading to Durango to be fostered by a loving family this Sunday or Monday. :) He is great with small dogs, as you can see, and does well with both male and female doggos of all sizes!
Ali came from a rough home and was lucky we caught wind of him before his former owners took him to a high-kill shelter in his home state. Ali is looking for a forever mama and/or papa to show him the love he deserves. ❤ 🐕 🚫🐱 No kitties! 💙😚 Yes kiddos!
Want to meet Ali to see if he is the right fit for your family? Contact Heather at 303-888-4861 to arrange a Meet & Greet no matter your location! :) #adoptdontshop#everylifematters#DeathRowRescues#rescuesuccessstories#rescuedogsofinstagram#rescuedogs
*WARNING PHOTOS OF VERY SICK CATS*
Meet our 3 newest (and sickest) foster babies!
Today we got a text from the high kill shelter that some “Samantha only” kittens came in. Supposedly 2 months old weighing just under 2lbs. I was also informed they had a mother but I didn’t need to take her because the kittens were old enough to be without her. As if I was leaving her behind!
So baby 1 is a little boy. He is actually close to 4 months old and weighs less than half of what he should weigh at his age. You can actually see all the bones sticking out. He’s also super dehydrated. He has a bad upper respiratory infection, a ruptured eye, ear infections and a bad parasite load/diarrhea.
Baby 2 is a little girl. Though slightly “healthier” than her brother it’s not by much. She also is less than half of what she should weigh at 16 weeks old. She’s battling the same thing as her brother...a bad upper respiratory infection, eye infections, ear infections, and a bad parasite load/diarrhea.
Both babies are on high calorie food, subq fluids, two antibiotics, probiotics, eye ointment, dewormers, and nebulizing.
Last is the poor mom. She may not look as bad but she’s actually in worse shape than her kittens. She weighs just 5lbs and she should weigh closer to 8/9. She’s extremely dehydrated and suffering from a bad upper respiratory infection that may be turning into pneumonia. She has terrible thoracic breathing. She won’t eat/drink/move. We are hopeful with the meds she has been given along with nebulizing she will be feeling better tomorrow, if not we will start syringe feeding. I am so thankful we were able to take her and get her the care she needs
Please send some major prayers this way, this is going to be a hard battle with how sick they are 💔
If anyone is feeling generous and would like to make a donation to the foster kitties we are in desperate of funds for the never ending vet bills. Even just $1! Any and all donations are helpful and go directly towards babies like this! We also need supplies off our amazon wishlist. we are in DESPERATE need of royal canin mother and babycat dry food, wellness canned food, and proplan salmon and ocean fish canned food. (
As a fellow #miscarriagesurvivor I am so grateful that people are finally starting to talk about pregnancy loss openly. One thing I’ve noticed, however, is that there is a subset of pregnancy loss mamas that are much more silent than others. That subset are those of us that have suffered secondary pregnancy loss; loss after one or more live births. 💔
Only 1% of couples will have 3 or more consecutive losses, and we found ourselves there in an even more rare situation: after the uncomplicated births of our first two children. Secondary pregnancy loss feels a bit taboo even as the topic of pregnancy loss overall increases in volume. 💔
I think one of those reasons is that we tend to feel guilty, like we shouldn’t be sad or at least not sad out loud that we’ve lost a baby, when we have living children at home. Who are we to complain, when there are couples grieving with no live children, or couples who are unable to even get pregnant. 💔
This needs to stop though, this comparing of grief. Grief is grief is grief is grief, and pregnancy loss SUCKS, regardless of how many children you already have. 💔
Our latest blog post talks about secondary pregnancy loss, in the hopes that other mamas (and daddies) going through it will know that they are not alone. We all have every right to mourn out loud. **Link in bio**
Every life matters. Every loss matters. 💔
