MEEGAAA SUPPERR HAPPY BIRTHDAYAYAYAYAYAY
to our Chief String Twanger,
@lhelstrippulverise!!! Lukey is our resident wriggly ginger knob head, and we'd be absolutely lost as fook without him.
Check out his epicness, rocking out at the @360clubuk this weekend!
We love you lots buddy, thanks for being your obnoxious, glorious, talented, silly self!
Have an amazing day! :) Feel free to show him lots of love, appreciation and insults too! :p (Yes, July is Pulverise birthday season! Everyone has their birthdays this month apart from @buttFairy!)
Something I really enjoy is setting my amp to a crunch setting with 5 gain, VERY light tube screamer under it for some body, and the same settings as my clean channel everywhere else, and just using the controls on the guitar to create what I need. With a moderate crunch setting I can still get screaming pinch harmonics, plenty of chunk and saturation, and all the power I need for solos without so much fuzz and noise (which allows the GUITAR to speak a bit more, and is more usable for a wide range of music), but it also allows me to roll off on the volume knob and grab some clean tones JUST with the roll of a knob. You can modify even further: Go fingered instead of picking to clean up the signal, or for more crunch you can dig into the guitar more because with a good amp like the Katana it will bloom as you get more aggressive. The amp responds and saturates when you dig in. Here’s a quick demo of this. My volume on the first part is at 2, but as I roll in the crunch saturates and I get plenty of gainy goodness.
