Saturday night I had the absolute best night of my entire life. I drank Ayahausca and it was hands down the best Psychedelic experience I've had to date and by far the best Ayahausca journey I've ever been on.
Beyond having the most vivid visions consisting of the most vibrant colors, elaborate patterns and all encompassing visuals it was also the most relevant life review I've experienced. I felt as if I was doing a cosmic dance with Ayahausca herself. ✨
The take away in a nutshell - everything is exactly as it should be. It always has been. There's nothing to worry about, my heart knows everything already. Everything is right, I have no self doubt.
This is the most powerful medicine and I'm so grateful to be able to partake in these ceremonies.
These are my favorites. Their name is Golden Teachers, and that is what they are.
You can grow them easily at home. You can take a full dose or less, but you can also microdose for softer influence throughout the day. Wisdom, insights, new perspectives, compassionate, feeling, nature, connection.. that would be my words for what they bring.
Then, suddenly, my consciousness was lighted up from within and I saw in a vivid way how the whole universe was made up of particles of material which, no matter how dull and lifeless they might seem, were nevertheless filled with this intense and vital beauty. — Aldous Huxley
Reality, as you currently experience it, is something like a waking dream. It is disguising deeper and more intensified levels of being and knowing. For those who are ready and willing, the doors to those other levels now stand open. — Daniel Pinchbeck
DMT The Spirit Molecule
by Rick Strassman, M.D. / @rickstrassman 📚
In one word: Informative.
So informative it now has a home on my bookshelf because I’m definitely going to refer to it again.
In this book, Dr. Strassman explains the molecular structure of #psychedelics (phenethylamines and tryptamines);
shares details of the processes he went through in order to have his research proposal approved;
describes the necessary criteria for test subject / volunteer selection;
specifies the different tests he administered;
shares the objective and subjective accounts of the volunteers’ “trips”;
and gives his overall analysis of his research.
He notes areas in which he felt he could have done better, whether it was due to restrictions placed on his research by the overseeing agencies, or miscalculations made by his own #ego .
The most fascinating information from this book, for me, was learning how LSD was used (before becoming classified a Schedule 1 drug) so extensively in psychiatric research. Not only by patients (psychedelic psychotherapy), but by established professionals, as well as students, in order to better understand themselves as well as the patients they were to work with.
A subject I would like to explore more in depth is the more recent use of psychedelics (psilocybin specifically) in #psychedelicpsychotherapy for alleviating afflictions such as #depression and #PTSD .
Side note: I have no experience with psychedelics. I’ve always been terrified of them and bought into the negative #propaganda that they were extremely dangerous and would fry my brain if I were to ever try them.
This book was fascinating to me because it shed some light on a subject I am very ignorant about.
What are your experiences with psychedelics?
Have you experimented with them?
Do you enjoy them?
Do you hate them?
Have you found them to be helpful?
Please share. I’m very curious.
