Mediasnoches de espinacas y paté de mejillones y aceitunas.
Estas mini Medias-Noches las preparé ayer para ver el partido de España y aun sobraron para merendar, ¿quien se apunta? El paté es muy sencillo de hacer, toma buena nota.
1 lata de mejillones en escabeche.
1/2 lata de aceitunas rellenas de morrón.
1 tarrina de queso crema.
1. Reunimos todo en un vaso batidor y trituramos hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea.
2. Dejar enfríar en el frigorífico.
Más fácil imposible.

This 👎is my official review of trying to meal prep this week. Let me explain...☀️💚
I spent almost 2 hours on Sunday night chopping produce, cooking carbs, and weighing out protein. Portioned out meals into containers that all I had to do was choose one, cook the protein and then eat. I had fruits and other snacks bagged and ready, and my food allowances for the day on a chart posted to the fridge. ☀️💚
After three days I was over it. Checking food off the list as I ate it, fighting the desire to eat the five triscuits I portioned out because I was already at the max amount of carbs I could eat by 2:30. Feeling guilty when I ate them anyway. I spent the entire day thinking about food. What I could eat, couldn’t eat, wanted to eat, when I could eat again, what I could have, did I check it off? Would those extra 5 triscuits cause me to gain weight? Is it “time to eat”? Within 3 days most of my bagged foods had to be thrown out. My strawberries were rotten and noodles dried out. ☀️💚
Enough is enough. Talk about disordered eating! This is not how I want to live. I’m not preparing for a fitness competition or trying to be a professional body builder. Food shouldn’t be this hard. I definitely feel like a more laid back practical approach to food is what works for me. ☀️💚
I do better with “eat when you’re hungry, don’t eat if you’re not”. Im not saying there is anything wrong with meal prep and timed eating. If that works for you, do it. I’m saying it doesn’t work for me. Yesterday I did just that. I was able to enjoy my food and not think about it all day. Not panic if I had five triscuits. Not freak out if I didn’t eat the right combination of protein and carbs together. There is something incredibly freeing and powerful about listening to your body and what it wants instead of following a one size fits all approach to health, fitness and food.
