Человек, которого ты ставишь в пример. Для меня это @sovaforce . Как бы не было ей тяжело, она продолжает пахать. Очень заряжает энергией💪🏻

Поддержка близких, друзей. Очень важно иметь таких людей, которые верят в тебя больше, чем ты сам.

Then music to my ears as he says “last reps”.. I hold back the vomit take a deep breath and it’s over finally.

OMG.. I’m wrecked but it’s the most satisfying feeling on earth when you push yourself (or someone else does) to a whole new level of strength and endurance both physically and mentally.

#Kettlebels are excellent workout tools for athletes are well as fitness amateurs. The weight in a kettlebel is centrally located which makes it a handy equipment thus consuming less space. Although it may see I’m lifting this object with my arms, I’m actually engaging my hips and posterior group of muscles to swing the bell and then by using its momentum I push it higher. At a point, when the bell is to a height, I immediately go under it and hold it over my head and lock it. This is called a #kettlebelsnatch
It not as easy as it looks but also not as difficult as it sounds.

Running this evening!! Running is not my favorite exercise but I find it challenging. When I hiked this trail I had never thought about running up to the peak at all(Never)!! However,  now I actually I must  train myself to run up hills to be able to finish the Spartan Race and obstacles course for 12-14 miles. So, I think it is true that people are tougher than we think we are, I couldn't agree more! Because what I did today I never thought I could do, but I DID IT!! .

I was blessed to ride 31.4 miles alone, on the spin bike tonight.  I reflected over the fullness of my day which began in The Operating Room, performing surgeries, continued into the afternoon bringing a precious life into this world,  and then going to a full office to care for more patients.. for most that would be enough.. but I needed to train .. and it was during this ride that I realized how important all the years of relentless study, and perseverance have been.. with persistence and discipline come great strength and joy.. keep pushing my friends, in all areas and  the joy will come !!! #beyondmotivated #endurancetraining #driven #doctormotherultrarunner #RIFit #RunItFast

Happy #fitnessfriday everyone. Been feeling a bit under the weather this week but managed a nice run and workout today. 2 mile warm up followed by some circuit/superset training.

1. Weighted squat, bent over row, RDL 5x5x5 intervals for 3 minutes, 1 min rest for 2 sets.

CARDIO DAYS are my least favorite days... Training for @spartan races requires soo endurance. Half of the race is running from obstacle to obstacle so running is important for me. It's the one area of training I dislike, probably because I'm not as good at it as I want to be... but because I know that I have to work harder at it!

A few tips when combing strength building and endurance:

1. Cardio should be done AFTER a lifting session or on a day when you have not done weight lifting. You do not want to use up your calories that you need to build muscle on cardio. If you must do cardio beforehand, drink a protein shake or quickly digesting carb afterward to give yourself a little boost before you hit the weights! .
.
2. If you are wanting to lose weight and NOT build muscle...do cardio whenever and however much you want. Do lots of cardio (and eat right). .
.
3. If you want to build muscle (but stay lean) eat right and do cardio 2-3 times a week, but don't overdo it. HIIT or Tabata exercises are great too. Too much cardio can take away from building muscle overtime. .
.  So figure out your goals and make a plan! Work hard my friends! 💪

Huka Falls. 15miles logged in today although my coach @mercuriarunning would probably have said no to this because my schedule said only 9miles for today. The sign said 6km from where I picked up the trail. But no!!! It’s 6miles! I gave up already on this but I saw a guy and he said it’s really really close so I turned around and ran again to the falls. I was less than 1km away and I’m glad I got confirmation that I was on the right path and it was worth it!

A few weeks later, soldiers from the national army marched through town, recruiting all the able-bodied boys for the army. They did not take the farmer’s son, still recovering from his injury. Friends shouted, “Your boy is spared, what tremendous luck!” To which the farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”
The moral of this story, is, of course, that no event, in and of itself, can truly be judged as good or bad, lucky or unlucky, fortunate or unfortunate, but that only time will tell the whole story. Additionally, no one really lives long enough to find out the ‘whole story,’ so it could be considered a great waste of time to judge minor inconveniences as misfortunes or to invest tons of energy into things that look outstanding on the surface, but may not pay off in the end.

No wonder it’s called Enchanted Mesa trail, it’s absolutely STUNNING.
The crisp fall morning air and the slight wisp of delicate fog that lay low in the Flatiron meadow slipped into golden sunshine, a GLORIOUS autumn sunshine, bathing the sandstone spires in warmth and wonder. Pine scents, cricket sounds, and sturdy yucca plants remind me that I’m trotting through high desert landscape. Lush green maples, olive-tinged locust trees, and clear water rushing through creek beds seem to share their intense energy with me. Connected, balanced, and elated...I wish I could bottle up this incredible morning and share it as an elixir.
