WALLSIT CHALLENGE 🚨
Resting position is with the weight overhead 🏋🏽♂️
3 simple commands left-right-switch 💥
Such an efficient drill at getting athletes to be comfortable in an athletic position 🔥
This drill is extremely efficient at getting athletes to not only be able to have upper body strength while being low in a stance, but also use their cognitive function while exhausted 🧠
Add weight or increase speed of commands to increase difficulty 😤
Try it out and LMK!!! #GarciaEffect#WorkHarderAndSmarter

What have you sacrificed chasing happiness?
We chase happiness and we sometimes feel like it’s the end goal. The problem with chasing happiness is the sacrifices we make to one day experience it. We neglect friends and family who love us. We spend our energy outside of our purpose and we give up our time(something we can never get back). Happiness is similar to contentment. When we think of happiness we think of the life we want but we should be seeking contentment. Once we are content no matter what we experience we can have something far greater than happiness...joy. Joy gives us strength to endure.
What have you sacrificed for happiness? Comment below!
I still have mixed feelings about yesterday but today they are clearer.
Starting with the negative, I am not happy at all about my swim split... The start was a little unlucky because what was supposed to be a water start ended up in a land start with some extra meters to swim for me because there were still plenty (including me) queing to enter the lake when the gun went off and the time startet to run... but I know therefore I also have to blame myself for being too precautious and not wanting to enter too far in the front afraid of all the enthusiastic fists. (Thanks again @oriana_heer for clearing my pre-race-tears with your hug and comforting words😘) in the water at least I found a good rhythm soon and felt quite well.
On the positive side the bike and the run went well and I could keep the pace I targeted. I enjoy the race a lot and finished it with a smile. And actually I bet those other agegrouper anyway because I finished the race and they didn't💪
Now it's time for a little time out. No training plans no races for me for at least two weeks. I will keep up with a lot of swim/bike/run but only in the intensity I feel like and without HRM or other tools. And then come back hungry again😊
Why? I started painting and making jewerly to help my battle with depression, anxiety, isolation, memory loss, fine motor skills as well as cognitive n processing issues...its going on two years now and the benefits has been amazing. I'll leave it at that...I'm trying; doing my best and know God made me to endure. Hidden sickness is a battle that takes a lot of strength to not resort to some prescription medications thats side effects are sometimes worse than the actual reason it is prescribed for. The mental and emotional battle is torchure but appreciated. One day i will be able to be all i want to be and help those around me. I wish for a simple life of purpose, love, friendships, creating, living, helping and being appreciated because I'm able to do for others, smile and grow in unity with others! ❤ remember instagram, snap chat and Facebook are only pieces if moments captured, filtered beauty and the illusion of a perfect life for most.....to know someone is to interact and have fellowship of communication, support, sharing, and love. Nothing is better than to feel needed, wanted, included and valued🙌 May we ALL experience llthis kind of life! In the meantime, do things that puts me in a better mindset with purpose and hope💋 #mystory#journey#grateful#blessed#value#unitu#purpose#mentalhealth#emotionalhealth#selflove#growth#healthylifestyle#endurance#acceptance#forgiveness#faith#passion#creativity#positiveenergy#goodfriends#moments#memories#live#laugh#love ....regardless😘❤👍
Fun opportunity to meet #seahawks OT Rees Odhiambo this morning after @anthonybales put me through a killer workout @bodytransformationsbellevue
Excited to see Rees's training efforts translate to big wins for my Hawks in the upcoming season. :) And, YES. I am wearing my Seahawks t-shirt but not with the foreknowledge that I would be meeting a player. I swear! And check out that post workout glow (aka red face & sweaty)
Always love my tough yet fantastic training sessions. I'm stronger and more fit than I've been in years! Thanks @bodytransformationsbellevue
Let me tell you about something my body has been through a lot. By a lot I mean a whole heck of a lot.
I’ve gained weight, I’ve lost weight, I’ve had hormonal issues, I’ve battled elevated cortisol, and I’ve battled my genetics.
What my body has never done is give up.
I’ve been so embarrassed of my body for many years, I have stretch marks and no not from kids, I have abnormally large ribs, and I’ve never been thin.
Now I have lose skin, and I have come to love it.
I see my lose skin and it reminds me of a place I don’t want to go back to.
It reminds me of a girl who looked to food as comfort and wasn’t willing to look deep within.
It reminds me of how far I’ve come physically and mentally.
What no one ever talks about is the mental aspect of losing weight.
Until you are ready to face your demons head on you will never lose the weight.
You have to be ready to let go, be ready to look at why you are using food as a crutch.
It took me a long time to realize my addiction had gone into food.
And yes I will admit to get into the place I am at with food now I did some drastic things. I did go through a minor period where I didn’t allow myself to eat much.
Yes I know that wasn’t healthy and I don’t recommend it to others, but at the time it was all I could do to cope.
I’ve found my balance with food, I’ve found my trigger foods that bring that ugly addiction right back out.
It’s not easy, but finally feeling comfortable in my skin is so worth it.
So to all of you out there struggling, remember YOU ARE ENOUGH, BE THE CHANGE FOR YOURSELF. 💕
What an unbelievable story @jonnymac83 has.
This is a must listen for everyone and has definitely struck a chord with me, especially with the rowing and ironman success he's achieved.

Swipe ⏪ for more!! Here are some great tricep workouts for muscle growth and strengthening. These workouts are effective to hit all three heads of the triceps, lateral, medial and the long head:
1️⃣ Tricep pushdowns (4x10s heavy as you can go) ss/with 👇🏼
2️⃣ Close grip incline push ups (4x12s)
3️⃣ Skull-crushers (4x8-10s)
4️⃣ Single-arm recipe pushdowns (4x10s)
A mixture of heavy reps and light reps are effective for both muscle growth and endurance. It’s also a great effective way to burn those muscle fibers and get the most out of them, this will also lead to mental endurance overtime. #bodybuildingnation
