Most days it’s fabulous to be a woman and other days it all feels like a bit much. What are we supposed to do with all of these emotions?
How do we keep them from paralyzing us or from turning us into the kind of person we said we would never become? From spilling over onto the people we love?
How can we deal with our emotions or use them for good instead of running, stuffing it or numbing them?
Brave Women Wednesday is happening tomorrow and you don’t want to miss it!! Jen Jones will be hosting live from San Diego with special guest Whitney Hughes and I can’t wait!! Join us and invite your tribe!!

You see my swag, I owe that
I dress to compliment my beauty
I'll make sure blindness takes over your life when you glance at me
Vibrant colors are spilled when your lips spilts open to pronounce every syllable in my name
You see my beauty, I owe that
My beauty lies where my secret lies
Stomach in, chest out, lift your head, and smile
Walk the hallways like you own the building
Don't drag your feet and frown
Instead put a prep in your step and grind

My amateur attempt at an açaí bowl 🤣 In the last week I’ve had at least 2 strangers (both happened to be older men) make comments about my food. Both along the lines of “oh that’s too healthy.” As strangers, I can only imagine they were just poking fun & didn’t mean any harm. But thinking back, it bothered me. Why does a stranger think they can make unnecessary comments about the way I’m choosing to eat? If it’s fast food or usual takeout, nobody has anything to say because that’s considered “normal.” But if it’s kale or açaí or green smoothie, then people have something to say. I’m trying to treat my body as well as I can. Part of that means healthy, whole foods. I guess that will spark opinions, but that’s not going to change my mind. Another part is letting things go. Y’all, be mindful of your words. They have the power to build or tear down. Plus you just never truly know what’s going on behind the scenes. If you’re on a health journey, keep going! People may have stuff to say, but if you feel good AND healthy then tune them out ✌🏼😘
“This is the day that the Lord has has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it”
At the end of my day, no matter how it’s gone I like to try and recite this verse to myself? Why? Because it is a reminder that even if my day did not go the way I planned it, days such as today, it is STILL the day that the Lord had made for me. That I got up to see the sun stream through my window. Even in our unproductive days, God is still working behind the scenes so we have every reason to rejoice in the day that God has given us!
No matter how your day went today, give a shout of gratitude unto the Lord! Maybe your day didn’t go as planned, maybe it was the best day ever! Whichever it is, remember to take one day at a time and see God move in the tiny miracles.

I spent the other Saturday clearing out my props cupboard. I collect all manner of things that I think will come in handy for @welshot and for The Kiwi Social.
Creating content, making photos to go on everything Social Media from blogs and websites, from Facebook to Instagram takes a LOT of photos and to make sure you get images that are bespoke means you have to make them yourself.
Only problem is I'm not very good at getting rid of my much loved props, even though I keep collecting them. .
So, the Boss set me a challenge (he knows I can't refuse a challenge lol) to get the cupboard cleaned and sorted and he'd let me have a trip to a couple of new antique shops I've had my eye on 😉
Do you love collecting things in the guise of it can be used for your #business ?
