Summer Days. ☀️☀️☀️
We are not even half way through August (if I am honest I have no idea of the date or day 😳) but I am starting to feel the fray of summer holidays. I am pleased it has been smooth sailing for such a long time. The boys have done well. We are now just the three of us. This transition period will take a while. Tom is struggling without Daddy which means that we all are. He is shrieking. A shriek that goes from 0-60 in nanoseconds. He is pinching and shouting. I need to remember that this isn’t personal. This is emotions coming to the fore. This is frustration, confusion and sadness. Tips to me:
1. Tell him it is ok and normal to feel cross. 
2. Tell him to use his chewi if he feels upset. 
3. Be clear and consistent with what is expected. 
4. Give Alex attention even though he has already adopted the role of looking after mummy and being an incredibly grown up 3 year old. 
It is hard to know how to support Tom when feedback is limited. There is so much guess work. Any tips on how to manage his emotions appreciated.

Do you ever feel so overwhelmed you just burst into tears? 
I’m at this funny stage of my life where I’ve never been busier I thought it was a really good idea to start a skincare business alongside my day job, try and launch it in the middle of a worldwide press tour for mission impossible, whilst buying a house, studying to be a health coach, prepping the next movie and now planning a wedding. I got off the plane after a 12hour flight from Tokyo to Dallas, received a selection of emails all needing immediate attention mostly negative and right there in passport control I just burst into tears. 
I am so grateful that I’m fortunate enough to have these experiences and opportunities and have so much love and support. I just wish I could manage this feeling better and wouldn’t cry as the not so friendly US customs man decides if I’m allowed into his country! Poor Pete 😂 •

А у Вас бывало такое чувство: "все, сейчас ещё немного и как выскажу все, как лопну, как воздушный шарик, и он (она) все узнает, что я думаю!"? А потом: "блин, да зачем я вот это вот все? Можно ж было полюбовно все решить..." Если вторая сторона не против, но это другая история)))

А Вы знали, что эмоциями нельзя управлять? И я нет!))) Они возникают как бессознательный реактивный ответ на внешний раздражитель. И появляются сами по себе.
°
Максимальная длительность эмоции - 12 минут. Некоторые длятся 1-2 минуты. Все, что потом - это наши установки, настроение. И вот с этим можно работать: менять, корректировать и т.д.
°
Когда чувствуете, что взорветесь: дышим медленно, короткий вдох - медленный выдох; попили воды; умылись холодной водой; порвали бумагу; поколотили подушку; покричали в подушку и т.д. Конечно, зависит от эмоции, которую Вы испытываете.
°
Но всегда помним: пару минут ждём. 
Ничего не предпринимаем!!! И только потом, начинаем конструктивный диалог.

My emotions are not the same as others emotions. My expression of them is not the same, where I feel them in my body is not the same. But I feel a wide range of things, just as everyone does. •
Today I questioned whether my anger was “enough”. Ironically today I found out the trigger for my anger is when I feel that I’m NOT enough. I’m a coach, still actively doing the work that I preach, still living in my practice and applying everything to myself. Today I screamed into a camera, and worried that my shaking and unfiltered rage was not “enough”. •
My anger burns like a scalding acid while freezing like dry ice. It locks itself into the pit of my stomach and wraps sharp talons around my esophagus. My anger is a breathing and hissing thing. It’s ugly, snapping, nasty, glorious, and so fucking suppressed. •
It’s hard for me to scream, because I’ve been conditioned to keep my “negative” emotions private. To hide that I feel things like envy, rage, insecurity, and depression. I am a woman, I am “meant” to be cool, calm, composed...sweet.

My anger speaks without thinking, cuts to the bone with exactly the right dialect to provoke war and inflict wounds. My anger is gnashing teeth and throaty growls, it wants blood and recognition. It wants to be seen and heard and acknowledged. My anger is a part of me and when I am angry, I am whole. When it lays dormant I am whole. •
Whether it is a scream or a fist, or a “fuck you” from clenched teeth, my emotions are enough, and I am allowed to have them. You are allowed to feel every emotion under the sun, don’t let anyone ever tell you differently. What you choose to do with those emotions is a different story entirely, and that defines your personality and the result you get from the world around you. Be careful with your rage, but don’t pretend it isn’t there.

Depression. Yes, it's an emotion. 
That one where people feel very sad, very dull, helpless, hopeless and experience severe lack of motivation and joy. They are preoccupied with negative thoughts.

They are irritable, and withdraw from things and people that they like and that are important and become prone to addictions.

It's an unhealthy and unhelpful emotion so much so, that people who feel depressed feel estranged from their own selves. 
Mind you, feeling depressed, being depressed and having clinical depression are different. .

Mental Health Awareness Month Day 27- Identify what brings you joy.
Our thoughts, all 70,000-100,000 of them everyday, are helping us to interpret the world around us. Thoughts are not facts! We tend to maximize stressful thoughts and minimize what brings us joy. Try out the STOPP method to address the negative thought spiral: 1. Stop for a moment, 2. Take a breath, 3. Observe your thoughts, attention and bodily sensations, 4. Pull back and put in some perspective, and 5. Practice what works (and what brings you joy).

Life has been rather messy, confusing, and emotional lately. I’ve been grouchy, probably because I’m just plain old sad. 💜
Oils can’t “fix” the situation, loss, etc we are enduring/preparing to endure but they can help to manage those emotions - and in some cases allow for those emotions to truly be felt and acknowledged. 💜

Kadang kita merasa sayaang sekali pada anak, tapi juga mudah sekali marah ketika anak "berulah". Kadang kita merasa bosan dengan rutinitas dalam rumah tangga, tapi merasa bersalah saat meninggalkan anak untuk bersenang-senang sendiri. Kadang kita merasa rela untuk mengorbankan segala hal demi anak, tapi merasa sedih dan kecewa karena "kebebasan" telah terenggut semenjak menjadi ibu.

Begitulah.. menjadi seorang ibu berarti menghadapi berbagai macam emosi yang silih berganti setiap harinya. Jatuh cinta, marah, jengkel, bosan, bangga, kecewa, bahagia luar biasa, dan banyak emosi lainnya.

Emosi itu manusiawi. Namun, emosi juga bisa menjadi "monster" yang bisa merusak suasana di sekitar kita jika diekspresikan secara berlebihan, juga bisa merusak diri kita sendiri jika terlalu erat ditahan.

Penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa wanita seringkali lebih menggunakan emosinya dalam bersikap. Oleh karena itu, manajemen emosi sangat penting dikuasai oleh para wanita sebagai "senjata" dalam menghadapi dinamika kehidupan sebagai seorang ibu, istri, dan peran lainnya.
