Mark & Blythe are engaged! I love it when family and friends are involved and witnesses to this amazing moments like this proposal. So excited for the remainder of my couples in 2018 and am looking forward to working with my couples in 2019!
Scans just hit my inbox from the sweetest lakeside engagement and I am floored! Guys... like WHAT! I just can’t even express how in love I am with every one of these images. I can’t wait to share more! I’m suppose to be taking the weekend off but even with horrible WiFi, I had to peek! @madiblairrrrr and @joey_pruitt9, there might be tears when you see these.🤷🏼♀️
I’m in Ohio tonight, currently getting allll my gear ready for a wedding between two cute high school sweethearts tomorrow!! 😍 Getting ready involves making a bunch of notes about the timeline, checking 27x over that all my gear is working properly, packing up my camera bag, and once I fall asleep, having nightmares that I forget how to use a camera and dinosaurs come eat all of my memory cards. (All my photographer followers know. 😂 Every fricken time.)
delivered this amazing couple's wedding today!
sitting through hours and hours of editing, seeing all the photos again, truly reminded me of something - just how beautiful it really is when God brings two people together 👫
Again, how did I get so lucky to work with such gorgeous couples?! This image of Jennifer & Henry was taken about 5 minutes BEFORE the thunderstorms and flash flood warnings started today! I am so happy that I finally got to meet this sweet couple who traveled all the way from Texas. I cannot wait until I photograph their June wedding next year! @iamfiercejay @hguy82 ✨💕#capturedbycoriss
Recreating "A Sunday Morning on the Island of La Grande Jatte". My day has been made. This amazing couple allowed the inner artist geek in me to take this opportunity to be creative. I've lived here for 15 years and never knew this existed... what an awesome thing to have. #georgeseurat
We canoed with their dog in the canoe 🛶 I stepped in multiple piles of goose poop + had s’mores 🍫 while sitting by the camp fire 🏕 all in all if I can use all of those emojis in one paragraph it makes me happy 💛
I promised more moments on my feed, so here’s my absolute favorite moment from this wedding. The mother of the bride buttoned her dress, stepped back to look at her daughter, and started crying. Capturing raw emotions like this makes me really emotional 😭❤️
Also: look at how similar their smiles are! Twins
knowing two of my fav humans get married in ONE WEEK has me dreaming back to the beautiful weddings I have been able to witness and be a part of 🌸 forever thankful for the opportunity to shoot a bunch of love with @emsaccophoto last year! xx
Natalia is just a great big sister and Jayson is such a great little brother. •
I’ve finally convinced Fontana to take pictures with me! How exciting! •
Currently, we are booking photo sessions for the rest of the year. DM to book a spot! We would love to work with you / your family
I have been getting asked lately how I get more natural looking images with my couples. The answer is to make sure they are COMFORTABLE and also give them DIRECTIONS and MOVEMENTS. First off, become friends with your clients. Get to know them and their personality. Are they outgoing and goofy? Are they shy and intimate? Understanding who they are and what their personalities are like will help you to know what type of emotions you can really bring out and enhance within their images. Next, get them to do an action or a movement and work AROUND them. Don’t keep them in one place trying to hold a pose. They will feel stiff, awkward and very uncomfortable which will show through in their images (nobody wants that). Getting them to do things will open them up, allow them to sink into each other more, and really get into it (which then turns into better photos overall). If you’re interested in me going into a little bit more into depth about this and possibly some examples of what I get couples to do, drop into the comments below 👇🏻 or DM me! I would love to hear from you!
