Maple 🍁 She had her beak clipped when she was little so she couldn’t peck other chickens when kept in confined spaces, it’s a cruel but common practice in the egg industry. I’m so grateful to have seen her thrive outside of that place ❤️ She had such a kind and quirky personality. I know she’s still out there somewhere, gobbling up grapes 🍇
You may or may not know this(now you know), but if you pay for, consume, or use animals/animal products there's blood on your hands. Most of us are guilty of this, I know I was for 24 years. Once you know better though, there's absolutely no excuse. See I don't hold anything against my parents or myself for all those years I was partaking in this animal holocaust, simply because we didn't know. I was so conditioned and disconnected from my "food" just as most of the world still is. Once you make the connection and align your morals with your actions, you open your heart and free your soul. The 56 billion land animals that are slaughtered every year just for your taste buds, are begging you to GO VEGAN! That's 56 billion sentient beings with brains, hearts, souls, and central nervous systems (feel pain), who have families and most of all...DON'T WANT TO DIE! Wash the blood off your hands my friends, it's the best thing you could ever do for the animals, yourself, other humans, and the enviroment. -------------------------------
Guess who’s back! After my wild break from posting and all the adventures that I’ve endured this past month, I think it’s time for a nice little post! Here’s a spicy king oyster mushroom stir-fry, topped with a beautifully fried egg in chili oil and some greens! This dish takes me back directly to my recent trip to the beautiful Indonesia! Apologies for the lack of recent content! I've been experimenting with some italian classics! My next series is going to cover an authentic Carobonara, everything made from scratch, and a few interesting alternative recipes I've found!

Eggs🍳 are nutrient powerhouses💪, a real superfood ⚡,️ they are a versatile ingredient. I think that most cooks should learn a few methods of how to showcase eggs🍳. Having a repertoire of egg🍳 recipes is one of the best cooking skills to have.
There are endless combos. They are versatile and also easy to cook. They can also be used for pancakes or cakes too but does not really count.
They are also other eggs🍳 out there such as duck eggs🍳 which are more nutrient rich than hens.
I try to rotate eggs🍳 every other or third day so that I do not create any potential food sensitivity. This keeps my immune system in check.
My preferred method is poached eggs🍳 when I have the time. When I am short on time I go for fried or soft boiled.
I always opt for free range/pasture raised.
I prefer to cook mine in a cast iron pan oppose to Teflon or Aluminium pans.
The main nutrients are in the yolk. So try to aim for a soft to medium set yolk. High best also damages the nutrients so cook on a low medium heat setting.
