Ginger glazed salmon and a prime rib slider... who needs to diet 😂 #dinner
After 4 weeks of more controlled dieting, 3 weeks of exercising almost daily, and 1 week of reduced carbs, it was an absolute treat to eat out like this! We decided to join a couple friends @milestonesyxe. Prime rib sliders are one of my favourite foods: so little, but so full of flavour! This ginger glazed salmon on a bed of Japanese egg and shrimp fried rice was calling my name all day yesterday! Very delicious, the Bok Choy was also surprisingly flavourful, which was a very pleasant surprise. The sweetness of the grilled pineapple on top was a nice accent to top the dish. Well, back to dieting for the rest of the week 😂!
Schezwan/szechuan egg fried rice. Try this #indochinese recipe to jazz up leftover rice.
Clean and chop 1 big onion, 1 small piece ginger (optional), 5-6 garlic cloves, 4-5 spring onions. I add lots of vegetables to the fried rice but it's optional. Use any vegetables you like I have used 1 carrot and capsicum/bell pepper, and 50 gms of cabbage and French beans (chopped in small bite size pieces).
In a small bowl add 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1 teaspoon dark soya sauce, 1.5 tablespoons of schezwan sauce (I have used store bought sauce. Increase or decrease as per your preference) and 1/2 teaspoon chilli sauce (optional). In another bowl whisk 3 eggs with salt and pepper and keep aside.
In big wok/kadai add 2 tablespoons of oil and chopped ginger- garlic. Fry till it starts to slightly change colour. Add chopped onion and the white part of spring onions. Fry till onions soften. Add carrots and beans and fry for 1 minute. Add cabbage and capsicum and fry for another minute. Add the sauce mix and stir well. Add 3 cups leftover rice (I have used sona masuri rice) and mix thoroughly. Check seasonings. In a pan add 1 teaspoon oil and pour the egg mixture. Scramble and cook till it is done. Add 3/4 th portion of eggs to the rice and mix thoroughly. Garnish with shoots of spring onions (the green part) and scrambled eggs.
Serve hot with any Indochinese curries or have as is. Ideal for a rainy day meal.
Orange Chicken with Egg Fried Rice - ☆☆××× Crispy, fried chicken with orange sauce, seasoned with sesame seeds, served with egg fried rice with vegetable rolls and that's all I can say about it as I can't talk much about the presentation and the flat taste, which is why I missed Wok Fusion Cafe a lot today (second and third picture); Worth a try and I will definitely give this place another shot -
