Oats: expected more of this but it's literally tasteless 😓
Pancakes: on the other hand, this was bombs! The fragrant pancake taste came through, something that's lacking in many pancakes out there.
Avocado toast: much better than expected. Toast was crispy without being tough. Eggs were fluffy and runny 👅

I really don't have much of a sweet tooth except for when my bodies throwing a tantrum because i decided not to get pregnant that month, then im a walking vacuum that inhales anything with a crumb of sugar in it, then i feel sick cause sugar hates me & i hate sugar & it's a terrible time. It's a hard life being so self-destructive 🤦♀️
My point is is that i don't feel as though im the best person to rate the taste of desserts, though i do bake a lot so i can fairly critique the appearance of desserts, in my opinion. How arrogant was that? I've outdone myself. Anyway again to my point- i spotted this passionfruit tart in the window & thought, "Man im not pregnant nor am i being punished for it at the moment, i'll pay dearly for eating it, but Mum will go halves with me to ease the burden so okay".
The filling was actually pretty good but the pastry let it down, it was a bit thick. But honestly i don't really care cause look at it. What a picture. Some desserts really make me realise that no matter how hard you try to "learn to bake", you'll never, ever learn it all & that's both an amazing & crippling realisation.
I started baking/decorating about 8 years ago after spotting some Sesame Street cupcakes & thinking, "How incredible are some people, how incredible to be able to know how to do that" so off i went & learnt. It's always amazed me how you can take a few ingredients (or a lot) & turn it into something so mind-blowing & beautiful. Anyway im rambling, my point is some people are just amazing with what they can do & my eyeballs appreciate it. The end.
