Thanks @martialmovements for sharing this very real post. I taught so many kids like this. It’s truly sad the things people especially kids go through that our education system just seemingly ignores. System a child spends the majority of their day in is more concerned on if they pass a test then who they are developing to be as a person. #nomorestandardizedtests#dcps#educationsystem#saveourchildren
One said “The past is your lesson, The present is your gift, The future is your motivation”. It took me 17 years to has a chance to pay a visit to my childhood Primary School.
Past 17 years, I don’t realize any improvement/change in this school. Except the wooden bridge to the flag pole, old and demolished buildings, and flooded in the campus (except the main road). Personally, I think sometime we, human, should take time to conduct a self-reflection and think about the past in order to seek out what we have changed so far and if there is any room to improve for the better.
So does the government.
Purpose Driven Content: It’s crazy to know that in 2018 inner city 🌃 schools are still being underfunded to the point where children don’t even have toilet paper. I felt like I had to say something bc this has to stop 🛑. • • • • •

On your marks, get set, THRIVE. Penny starts ‘big school’ this September. She’s heading right into the education system until early adulthood potentially. I’m nervous, anxious, and generally completely devastated my little baby is heading away for such a big step in her life. Besides those feelings though I’m hopeful, excited and curious as to who my Penny will become once she begins to find herself at school. Her interests will expand, skills will emerge, and her confidence will bloom. I want her to thrive and walk into the building like nothing could get in her way, but we all want that for our kids don’t we? I expect the first few months will be difficult for us all as a family while we try to adjust to such a big change but you know when you’re young and your parents put their hands on your back trying to ease you on gently? That’s what I want for Penny. I won’t push before she’s ready but I want her to feel like I’ve got her back and she’s got the support at home from us. What I’m saying is...I’m definitely not ready for her starting school but I want what’s best for her too. So I guess this begins another hard but necessary parenting venture ahead. Wishing all the September 2018 school starters a great education and their parents all the best too. 🍎📚🖍 #schoolstarter2018#bigschool#learning#educationsystem#channelmum#channelmumvillage#fouryearsold
It is very strange to hear when you want to see School O level Head, and she declined to see you. It was as important as you life line is as stake. When you inquire and saw she was sitting in Lab laughing and chatting with other teachers don't have time for parents to see. A request was forwarded again to see us for 2 mints she again declined and asked us to come again tomorrow at 10am.
Her Name is Ambreen Ali and she is head of beaconhouse Y block O levels. She has a attitude issue. We request management of beaconhouse to remove her with immediate effect. A bad impact Is been created just because of her.
It is much easy to see Principal of Y block (Ms Seeme) , she is really a down to earth personality.

Third year of med school was a roller coaster as we entered hospitals and started our interaction with the patients and medicine in real. It was the point when we were totally settled in med school and pmc felt like home. We started bunking dining out and yes we all had a trip to lahore HAHA with my sister's college because there was no concept of trips or tours at that time in pmc. Third year made us realize the fact that people who are around you and are all into sugary talks and appears to be the ones who wants nothing but best for you can be the real backstabbers. Also it made me realise that if people say they are your friends do not necessarily means that they mean it. Sometimes its only you verses the whole clan. Regarding the wards part we all were so fascinated by the idea that we are going to learn how to treat stuff with those new lab coats and stethoscopes wrapped around neck feeling no less than saviours of humanity HAHA. But that was not the case at all. As we were the most junior ones so we were treated like that and all we used to do was roam around in hospital with those steths and lab coats and the most eager ones went bed to bed just to see the charts and talk to the patients. This actually is saddening in one aspect because this is one of the biggest cons of our education system. Nobody is there to teach you or make you learn new things. Rather its you versus everyone around you. The environment is so hostile and demeaning that people with weaker nerves lose the battle and sometimes even give up on life. We really need revolution in our education and health system. Third year was an year of realisations and growing up.
From the author of the critically beloved Pym comes a ruthlessly comic and moving tale of a man discovering a lost daughter, confronting an elusive ghost, and stumbling onto the possibility of utopia. "In the ghetto there is a mansion, and it is my father's house." Warren Duffy has returned to America for all the worst reasons: His marriage to a beautiful Welsh woman has come apart; his comics shop in Cardiff has failed; and his Irish American father has died, bequeathing to Warren his last possession, a roofless, half-renovated mansion in the heart of black Philadelphia. On his first night in his new home, Warren spies two figures outside in the grass. When he screws up the nerve to confront them, they disappear. The next day he encounters ghosts of a different kind: In the face of a teenage girl he meets at a comics convention he sees the mingled features of his white father and his black mother, both now dead. The girl, Tal, is his daughter, and she’s been raised to think she’s white.
Spinning from these revelations, Warren sets off to remake his life with a reluctant daughter he’s never known, in a haunted house with a history he knows too well. In their search for a new life, he and Tal struggle with ghosts, fall in with a utopian mixed-race cult, and ignite a riot on Loving Day, the unsung holiday for interracial lovers.
A frequently hilarious, surprisingly moving story about blacks and whites, fathers and daughters, the living and the dead, Loving Day celebrates the wonders of opposites bound in love
So that’s it. Our final week together. Our last Monday, just the two of us. Next Monday I have to set him free. He’ll be spending more time with his primary 1 teacher than with me
✏️ Will he miss me?
✏️ Will he accidentally call Mrs Docherty “Mummy”?
Will he make friends?
Will he eat school dinners?
Will he be too shy to ask for the toilet?
Will he cry?
I’ve loved spending these 4 years with you Sonny. Thanks for being my very best middle. Now let’s have one more normal Monday before you have adventures without me and before I have to share you. Tears prick my eyes. Love you mostest 💖 #middlechild#sonnybunny#fouryearold#mamarazzi#educationsystem#firstdayofschool#newlife#heartbreak#unapologeticallyirrational
About a year and a half ago, I traveled to Florida to answer Mother Earth’s Call to protect her water, our sacred water. I met Tree within a week, and after a month of living among soul fam earth and water protectors, we kept traveling..I learned about plants and permaculture, growing your own food, and we got to go to several farms. I got to see BROCCOLI, CABBAGE growing from the Earth😛😝and I don’t even know the words to describe the child-like wonder I had at seeing them!
What a newb!! ✋🏼😁
FO REAL THOUGH
Why aren’t we introduced to this in SCHOOL?! Something as intimately connected to our daily lives- the food that sustains us🌱🥦🍓

I had a really inspiring few days at the @dnsteachertraining college in Denmark. While I was there I recorded a lovely conversation with Nadia and Justus on the importance of alternative education systems and collective mental health. I’ll be uploading it to the podcast in a few weeks time :)
