I know the drill. Need a couple minutes to clear your head at work. Take a little SCROLL.
Not quite ready to get out of bed. Time to SCROLL.
Waiting in line at the cafe. SCROLL.
Cozy up and turn on Netflix. SCROLL.
Kids in bed. SCROLL.
Yet at the same time almost everyone says, “I don’t have TIME for anything else.” Hmmm...right? What Netflix show are you binge watching right now? How much time did you waste on Facebook today? Let’s be real here...not having time...is an excuse.
No one does this business because they have ALL this extra time that we need to fill. We do it so that in 3-5 years time IS in abundance. Finances are in abundance, and life is in abundance. Life is what we make of it, not what just happens to us.
So I challenge you. Stop the mind numbing scroll and let’s chat. For real. •

3 POTATO & BROCCOLI #soup 🌳🍠🥔✨
Yep it's #winter and it's been FREEZING!! I'm over it to tell you the truth... But this super simple soup will warm even the coldest of hearts 💗 #kidswillloveit .
After years of being a private chef, I have learnt to cook for the fussy, the picky and the HAppY go lucky! But For one period of about 4 yrs I worked for a wealthy elderly couple in New York - Who couldn't digest #onion#garlic#peppers - could you imagine!!! This soup was a HIT annnddd SUPER easy!
Depending on how many people your feeding, here goes the method;
All diced approx. 2cmx 2cm cubes - 2 x white potato, 2 x red potato, 1 x sweet potato, 1 cup of diced pumpkin, 2 carrots, 2 cups of broccoli florets. In a large potato fry together everything except the #broccoli for 5-10mins then add 2tsp of garlic powder & 1Tbs of Onion powder and about 2L of water - Bring to boil then simmer for 30-40minutes. Mix 1/2 cup of #lentil flour in cold water, then at to soup in the last 5 mins, along with 1/2 cup of nutritional yeast flakes. #nutritionalyeastflakes .
If your pot is big enough make extra for later in the week lasts 7 days in the fridge!! #mealprep . .

The take away from today is that I spent an entire day with a group of people ready to learn and make a change.
Today was day one of the Human Trafficking Conference in Caddo Parish. It's a day of learning about identifying trafficking, how to help victims, and a call to action to stop trafficking.
We listened to professionals, law enforcement, attorneys, and most importantly SURVIVORS. The stories are incredible. They're unbelievable. They're remarkable. .
Trafficking always seems like this dramatic thing that happens anywhere, but here. That's so far from the truth--look at that map!!! I learned so much today. I am so scared for our baby girl, but feel so prepared to teach her to be strong, smart, and brave.
The South Florida market is thirsty for talented developers. How do we bridge this talent gap and bring South Florida into the competitive “thinking economy?” This article investigates.
Talk to any recruiter that has to scour through resumes. Talk to any public school teacher who feels they are teaching their students outdated content. Talk to any private executive in a technology role — and you will find the same thing. There is a demand for gifted developers, programmers, analysts, and engineers in the South Florida market.
An article from the South Florida Business Journal aptly titled Tech workers deemed ...

HIV Basics Training @cascadeaidsproject project this was unbelievably informative. I was shocked to discover how much I didn't know. CAP uses TASP which stands for Treatment AS Prevention in the community and is the ONLY organization in Oregon that offers 100% FREE rapid HIV testing. The humans at CAP are also not only incredibly informed and educated about all issues HIV/AIDS & LGBTQ, but they are also some of the kindest and most hardworking individuals I've had the pleasure of meeting in my 1.5 years with #beirutinportland ♥️ Thank you @cascadeaidsproject for all that you do for our community! Check out their incredible new culture-competent and LGBTQ affirming healthcare facility, Prism Health, at:
Good to see the #zerowaste lifestyle getting more exposure. After watching the Plastic oceans documentary last week, I'm once again reminded of the importance of reducing our waste especially our plastic consumption. I highly recommend the documentary! I think it's on Netflix.

Here at Who let the dogs out doggy daycare our groomer is currently working towards her silver certification with #lowstresshandling
1.Recognize subtle signs of fear and anxiety in dogs and provide a calmer safe and secure environment.
2. Learn methods and positions of handling that can affect the dogs perception and comfort levels.
3.Evaluate which methods of restraint are best for grooming. Eventually I hope that it will be a necessity for all daycares to implement this program to all staff and groomers🐶❤️

Out of 40 principals in the Central Plateau in Haiti, Marie-Claude is one of only two who are women. We are so inspired by her dedication to her students and can’t wait to see what projects the Girls’ Voices scholars under her wing come up with. Your health is in your hands. You are in charge of figuring out how to be healthy in a world the encourages the opposite. A few months back I began to research deeper into nutrition after an article on nutrition preventing Alzheimer’s sparked my interest. What I found was that while I was healthy, while I had lost 80lbs and maintaining, while I felt good, I was doing things AND not doing thing to possibly hurt my health. I made a switch. I made a change really focusing on food for health and disease prevention. I tripled my daily veggie intake, doubled and added in more types of healthy fats, and improved the quality but cut back on protein. I’ve cut out all carbs/grains but sweet potato’s, fruits, and those found in veggies. I snack on a handful of nuts/berries daily. I drink bone broth daily. I have eliminated added sugars, poor quality oils, and processed foods my daily diet. Not that I ate a lot of any of those, but some even hidden in things like spices and I was using convenience food like bars/powders. And guess what? I’m down 10lbs, have less hunger, more energy, and my recent heart health lab tests came back on point. Safe to say, it’s working. I didn’t realize I could feel better until I realized I could be healthier. What’s your starting point? Doesn’t matter where you are, just start now. Today. You can be healthier, if you just start. Do you research and fight for your health. 💪🏼❤️ #feeditorfightit#doitforyourhealth
