So happy with how this turned out! I forgot to take a before thou 😭
I needed to cover a band of orange, so I did back to back foils, two light (@schwarzkopfcan blonde.me+20voll)to one dark(A7@joico +@pravana ash)
Toned with @wella 8/81+10/6 and shadow root with same as lowlight!
$220(her hair is very fine)
✨If you're anything like me, this time of year is mayhem on your scalp! Dandruff, dryness and something new for me...extreme irritation and redness. ✨This is a good alternative to clarifying shampoos as it focuses on your scalp, not your hair. This took me 3.5 minutes and my scalp is no longer red or sore! 😍😍 @love_amika
Hair so long it doesn't fit in the pic! 😂😂
Bleach :@schwarzkopfcan Blonde me, 20 volume
Toner: @schwarzkopfcan more vibrance 9.4-4 and 9.5-1
Products: @unite_hair 7 seconds and @tigiprofessionals s factor hair spray, to take the fly aways
✨Let me first off say client was so sweet.
She came in with a real hair situation. Luckily she is patient and understands the process and the importance of leaving damaged hair to heal. ✨All we did to fix this for now was bleach out the old shadow root(which in my opinion should never be darker than the clients natural, or a permanent colour) with @schwarzkopfcan Blonde Me and toned with straight 8A by @joico ✨She will use @olaplex for a few months and eventually go lighter!
This client always gives me something fun to do. She sends me two pictures of general ideas she likes and lets me combine them how I want! I always love the way it turns out!
Bleach:@schwarzkopfcan Blonde me, 20 volume
Toner: @pravana ash
Pink: @pulpriothair_canada cupid over the silver to make it deeper and smokier! 💕💕
Cora. Where do I even start with you, before we even met people knew that we were going to hit it off. We definitely did ! From day one I knew that I could trust you and rely on you. You are talented, smart, inspiring, hilarious, kind, caring and beautiful. From cameras in fancy restaurants to non stop talking Uber rides, you make me laugh so hard it hurts. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for you. Happy 28th birthday I love you girl!
✨I am extremely proud of the progress of this colour in just two appointments. When this client first came to me she had dark hair(middle photo) with naturally blonde roots, she was getting her colour every 4 weeks. She's in school and I just thought it would be easier for you to be blonde. It was a process but she trusted me and now her hair is going to be low maintenance and she will just have to come in for toners every 2-3 months. ✨ I don't just do hair, I look at all of the things that I would want a stylist to do for me. I look at maintenance, cost, lifestyle and all of the things that go into choosing the hair that's best for you. I'm not just going to do a color because it's the latest trend or to take someone's money!
It doesn’t look like a huge change in photos. But the truth is the last picture(first appointment) probably has 5-6 different levels of warmth throughout. This was a tedious project but so worth the end result! 😍
This is my friend / client. The first photo is from January and the right is now. I’ve never bleached her hair so I can’t say it’s weak but when she started seeing me the way I saw it was. Two options : be blonde or grow your hair, cut off the dead slowly, utilize olaplex and start over. There is such thing as not getting enough hair cuts. 4 a year is all you need to maintain and grow your hair. Honesty and transparency is a huge part of being a hair stylist.
If you don’t like high maintenance hair a full bleach out is NOT for you!
This lady realized that after not having time for an appointment in months. We moved her into a low maintenance balayage and i am in love! 💕💕
Swipe for before!
Used a method I learned this weekend by @hairbysarmad and I can’t believe the blendy-ness. I’m obsessed with beige hair right now! 😍
Bleach :blonde me @schwarzkopfcan
Toner : more vibrance 9-4, a pinch of 9-0
✨This gal came in today for a haircut. -I haven’t touched her balayage since July. -I was so happy with the way the grow out looks! -This what I love about balayage techniques. The grow out is amazing and the colour itself looks fresh for so long if done right. -Something like this on average is around 200-300 dollars and can last 3-6 months.✨
Had such a great weekend with these gals at #modernrockstherunway ! ✨I drove to Calgary for the first time (anyone who knows me know this is a huge deal)
✨ I learned so much! I’m so grateful for my community of stylists. ✨Someone today said that independent stylists are always searching for community and it seemed very negative. In my opinion I’m lucky because my salon is my community, my friends from hair school are my community, my friends from my old salons are my community. I’ve learned SO much since being an independent stylist, I would not change anything I’ve done since starting my career. I’ve travelled more this year and learned more this year than ever. With stylists that I do and don’t work with. There’s no competition. Just love and shared learning! ❤️❤️
My unicorn client! This was possible in one session, due to: alot of time, no budget and no previous colour corrections in the past. There is still some work to do next session ! ✨We started by bleaching the darkest band with blonde.me and 20vol for 20 mins, then pulled through same formula as well as roots for another 30 mins, rinsed applied @olaplex (because olaplex is life) ✨Then bleached middle band one more time. ✨Toned with @joico 8N/8A and @wellahair 050!
