Last week's post regarding my own diet struggles & ice cream 😔 prompted a good response between myself and my clients (Not only did they realise I'm human after all and can be naughty 😂😋) we talked about how it affected them and how it helped them identify their weak points and focus on the best way to resolve these. Identifying the cause is the 1st step! It was a great topic to cover because as hard as they train the nutrition side is the toughest one to adhere to! Too many temptations especially in the school holidays with young ones demanding sweets & treats 😕 then there's  the holidays! Once we fall into a pattern of consistency it's easier to stick to these healthier habits long term thus maintaing the weight loss and not slipping back into to unhealthy eating 👌 
Learning to eat when you're hungry is another topic I've been covering. Most of us sit down with a cup of tea and feel we need a biscuit or two to go with it? Or reach for a snack without thinking because we think we are hungry. But have you ever really thought about hunger and how it really feels? Are you really hungry or have you just stopped and thought I feel hungry? Feeling hungry and actually being hungry can be hard to define. Look at the difference between hunger and appetite. Identify yours? Is your stomach actually rumbling or are you bored? Learn to tell the difference and it can have a huge impact on your fitness and diet goals as well as your healthier lifestyle.

Hunger is actually the preliminary effects of dehydration. This is one of the reasons why sometimes no matter what you eat, it doesn’t feel as though it ‘hits the spot’. Because it’s virtually impossible to tell the difference between this ‘thirst signal’ and authentic hunger, it’s a good idea to make your first response to hunger pangs a fresh glass of water. If you’re not hungry afterwards, it was thirst; if you still are, dig in!

I couldn’t be satisfied trying this new cookie recipe, no, me being me, I wanted to and did eat some of the cookies. When I finished taking care of my last pan from the oven and I grabbed for the crumbs and stated eating them. I had to stop myself, I already had grabbed 2 cookies and ate them. I’m tired of sitting in some chairs to have them dig into my thighs to where it hurts. I’m so ready for this change in my life and I welcome it. Breakfast/Meal #1 was a nice big bowl of fresh fruit😍🍒🍌🍑🍍 I wanted to talk about why I eat later in the day instead of in the morning. I don’t do Intermittent fasting, well at least not intentionally. When I wake up in the mornings, that’s when I am able to make my bowel movements, since I take my bowel capsules at night. Sometimes I am not able to make a good bowel movement, and on those days I’m not hungry in the mornings. A lot of the time, When I am able to make a good bowel movement, the mornings before I’ve eaten are when I feel my best since I don’t have any symptoms. I like to spend my mornings without pain and discomfort, and savor the time I’m able to have without my symptoms. Once I start feeling hungry ( Between 11 and 1 most of the time) is when I will make my breakfast or meal 1. Like my girl @healthwithsam mentioned before, you shouldn’t have to feel like you need to eat breakfast/lunch/dinner at specific times. EAT when you feel HUNGRY, and STOP when you are SATISFIED, NOT FULL! If you are hungry at 10:00 pm, grab a snack and eat it! As long as it is TRUE hunger. Eating late at night doesn’t “make you fat”. Listen to your body, and do what is best for YOU!🙌🏼

No hunger all day I was beginning to wonder when I would get hungry today it was about 23 hours from last nights dinner 🥘 
Tonight mashed cauliflower about two cups raw I sautéed some chopped onion and garlic in a pan with a little butter 1 tsp ,added thyme, black pepper and sea salt and put the mashed cauliflower in yummy!
Sautéed grassfed ground beef with onions and threw on a hand-full of spinach wanted to get in some greens .
The beef had some good fats on its own and didn’t need to add any  to the cooking pan .
I use fat as a lever enough to feel satisfied, satiated and fit my goals.
When wanting fat loss always use fat as a lever enough but you want to burn your own fat

When I started eating more intuitively instead of eating things I felt I “should” be eating, I ate more of certain foods and less of others. I ate less bananas and melons because I simply didn’t crave them, and my stomach usually doesn’t feel too well when I eat too much melon. I eat minimal dairy since I’m lactose intolerant. I used to eat chicken Caesar salads to cut back on calories. Same for oatmeal. Then I had a cereal phase but that’s passed already. I usually don’t crave a lot of raw vegetables. They take so long to chew! When I stopped depriving myself of foods I enjoyed, I didn’t need such nutrient dense foods like nuts and nut butters. Don’t get me wrong, I still love me some cookies and cupcakes on most days but just don’t crave them as much. I ate beef and seafood because I thought I needed to eat those for iron. 💁‍♀️ And I realized I only crave chocolate when I don’t eat enough.
