Happy healthy Saturday everyone 🤗💫🌟. Lunch today another easy Salad dish. Chicken and sautéed veggies. Lightly sautéed  the veggies in olive oil, pesto and dried oregano. I had onions- garlic- red peppers- mushrooms- zucchini- perino tomatoes- sun dried tomatoes and Kale and added shredded cooked chicken through it at the end and with drizzle of some fresh lemon, S&P and it was done . A yummylicious salad, quick and easy 👌😊😋.

A salad loaded with so many veggies I’ll try to name them all 😜....Cucumber , tomatoes, beetroot, red and yellow peppers, olives, kale, baby spinach,parsley,dill cucumbers, spring onions,avocado, currents and mixed seeds of pumpkin seeds and sunflower for crunch and extra protein too. I'm pretty proud of my boy. I posted earlier his desire to swim across our lake each day to be ready for swim academy in September. We have been away for the last week so he's had to rethink the length of his swim. At some point each day whether it was dusk, dawn or even a little drizzle he headed out to any body of water near us. A little traveling wasn’t going to deter him from his goal. What a good boy. 💕

It reminded me it's important to make clear goals, commit to them and have a few back up plans. If you are trying to eat nutritiously or training consistently, it's not always easy. But that's okay! If there is adversity, there is no need to throw in the towel. Take a big breath, persevere and make adjustments. See failures as an opportunity to learn. Instead of feeling guilty for missing a workout or making a less than great food choice, ask yourself WHY it happened. Then start to plan a little better. Eventually the "oops" will be less and less, and you'll gain more and more momentum. -

I find for most people, their why is either not having a decent meal, then letting themselves get too hungry OR not planning their time well and missing a workout. This last one is me for sure!! Balancing a busy family, kids activities, new business and myself....it's a tall order! I'm going to be sharing more and more tips on how to meal and workout plans in future tips! So..... this happened! 🤤😍🙌🏻 and oh was it GOOD!! It's basically an egg sandwich panini waffle 🤷‍♀️😊 I made an egg white scramble and put it on gluten free bread and added onions, peppers, cilantro, one link of breakfast sausage, and a very little bit of dairy free cheese 🧀 then I put it in my waffle maker to warm up the bread and melt the ingredients inside... and this is the outcome!! 💕🙃 it was sooo good. I also sautéed some fresh zucchini with garlic, tomatoes, seasoning, and olive oil 😋such a tasty meal!

Getting my protein fix with a fried cheese taco, scrambled egg and pepperoni....yum! (237 cal 1g carb 16g protein and 18g fat) This was my second meal, first meal was an orange cream shake from Herbalife. 
I tend to skip meals and have struggled big time in the past to actually eat and finish a meal. Sometimes its not what you eat but what you are not eating. Not eating can lead to weight gain and mess with your metabolism.  Focusing on not skipping meals and staying active.

🌀Pica en cubos 1 medallón de atún crudo, 1/2 mango, 1/4 de aguacate hass, 1/4 de cebolla morada y 1 rama de cilantro 🌿.

🌀Revuélvelo bien todo en un recipiente, agrégale 1 cucharada de salsa de soja, pimienta, una pizca de sal y 1/2 Limón🍋

I’ve preached a few different things over the days regarding nutrition.

The average in me said, “There’s no need to track calories. It’s intuitive. I can still make progress.” Which is all true.

But this past week I woke up, disappointed in the control I had, and the voice in my head that was saying I was average.

So, I’m tracking calories, adjusting as needed, and taking control of what I can.
