Dinner tonight was burger in a bowl, I used 5% fat mince (p) @jdseasonings burger blend, onions (s) peppers (s) on a bed of spinach, with broccoli (s) baby corn (s) & Butternut Squash chips sprinkled with @jdseasonings Chips and Wedges and cooked in the air fryer. FULL now... always room for desert though so may have to reach for a Turkish Delight Muller Light yogurt. 💛Dash of Turmeric/salt/black pepper/cumin seeds

in a little olive oil sautee onions and add Tomatoe and chillies ... add salt pepper cumin and turmeric to the skillet ..sautee for another minute then add can of chickpea (drain and rince before adding) some cilantro for added flavor and garnish .. cook for 2 minutes it's ready 🍅
Best served with Pita or Roti ..I love it with a slice of Italian Bread too 🍞

Many years ago, eating so late at night would be out of the question for me. 
Why? 
Because I was convinced that any food eaten so late would simply be stored as body fat as my body had no use for it at night. 
Turns out I was dead wrong, and the time you eat makes virtually no difference whatsoever on your waistline - Provided your total calorie intake is in check. 
Besides, you don’t suddenly stop burning calories over night, if you did, I can safely say.... your dead! 😉

So fortunately folks, your abs, waistline won’t be disappearing all of a sudden if you enjoy late dinners over the glorious summer months. ☀️😊

Well not exactly, but eating past 9:30pm does increase the likely hood of you getting breast or prostate cancer. 🙅‍♂️🤷‍♀️🤦‍♂️
Protein regulation and gene expression in the human body are tightly linked to our circadian clock. What we don’t learn in medical school is that several of the genes that control DNA damage repair and cell division are genes that are regulated by our circadian clock! As mentioned in previous posts, eating late at night drastically effects your circadian rhythm and your quality of sleep. So here are the basics: eating late effects circadian clock, changes in the circadian clock alter expression of the cell cycle regulators WEE1, MYC, and cyclin D1 which influence cell division, changes in the circadian clock ALSO effects PER1 and TIMELESS which are key clock proteins that regulate DNA damage repair. The effect of feeding on PER1 can be seen by western blot (for my science nerds, swipe left). Eating late also increases systemic inflammation. For each 10% increase in amount of calories consumed late at night, CRP (inflammatory c-reactive protein) increases by 11% compared to if calories were consumed earlier in the day.
