If you like cinnamon rolls these Cinnamon Bliss Balls are for you! This week is going to be a busy one so I knew I needed to make something to have for snacks but I’m feeling pretty lazy and I couldn’t imagine turning on the oven so I threw these together and they did not disappoint! I’m going to put the recipe on izzycooks.com too but they’re so easy I’ll also put it here...
8 pitted dates
1/2 cup almond flour
1.5 TBSP coconut oil
2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla
Dash of sea salt
Any other additives like collagen or maca powder.
Blend everything in the food processor until smooth and roll into balls.
Keep in the fridge or freezer and enjoy!
P.s. You don’t have to use ceylon cinnamon but it has tremendous health benefits such as blood sugar stabilization, bp support, and antioxidants!
Made these citrus and honey gut loving gummies as a sweet treat with added benefits! Gelatin is soothing to the digestive tract and can also aid in the repair of the gut lining. It also contains collagen so your skin can thank you as well 🙃 I made these ones with fresh lemon and orange juice, grass fed gelatin from @gelatinhealth and a little honey!
I promises y'all another recipe. And in standard fashion, I took the recipe that was given to me and made it my own.😉
This can actually be made in either the oven or done on the stovetop.
1/2 c soy sauce (I used low sodium)
2 tbs hoisin sauce
2 tbs coconut sugar
5 cloves of garlic minced*
1 tbs ground ginger
1 c water mixed w/ 2 tbs corn starch
1.5 lbs chicken (I used a mix of breast amd thigh) cubed
1/2 tsp salt
1.5 tsp pepper
1 head of broccoli chopped bite size
2 bell peppers - you pick the color
1/2 c roasted cashews
Mix first 5 together. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer until sauce thickens, then set aside. It takes literally minutes.
*You can use way less garlic. We just like garlic around here. You can also use honey (since our little isn't a year we don't right now).
Arrange chicken on a sheep pan lined with parchment or sprayed with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle some of sauce over top and mix in. Bake 400° for 8-10 minutes.
Add veggies, nuts, the remaining salt amd pepper, and drizzle half the remaining sauce over top and mix in. Bake 8-10 more minutes. As as soon as the chicken is cooked, pull out drizzle with the remaining sauce and serve.
Add chicken and some of the salt and pepper to a pan, cook until half done, add veggies, nuts, remaining spices, sauce, and cook until chicken is no longer pink.
Again feel free to make it your own. Don't like something, modify it. My feelings won't be hurt and your tastebuds will be happy.
The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new. Good things take time.
One reason people resist change is because they focus on what they have to give up instead of what they have to gain.
Remember it's not about being perfect. It's about effort and when you bring that effort every single day, that's where the transformation happens. That's how change occurs. 💗
Day 14! Today I felt like doing some cardio instead of my active recovery day. Hey when you crave cardio you do it! Doesn’t happen very often! 😆
Mole chilaquiles🇲🇽💃🏻 Have you tasted mole before? It is a Mexican dish that is traditionally served with chicken as enchiladas but we know that won’t fly around here 🐔❤️ It is absolutely delicious and of course I added @violifeamerica cheese on top🤣

Peanut Butter Brownie Baked Oatmeal. Baked by me from a #chocolatecoveredkatie recipe that I’ve been eyeing up for ages. Trying to watch my refined sugar intake in the last few months of pregnancy (saying that I just ate an almond magnum...😛) plus prefer keeping the toddler’s intake to a minimum and I keep coming across lovely looking desserts on her website. Had loads of ripe bananas so today was the day 🙌. Apparently this is a #breakfast recipe. Tomorrow’s gonna be a good morning 🍌🍫🥛😋

I haven't been taking food photos this week. Why? Honestly, my kitchen has been a mess all week which makes it difficult to cook or be creative in a messy kitchen. Also Riley skipped her nap from Mon-Thurs so my days were busy with her! Good busy but busy. This is all I managed this week. A picture of blueberries that I made into jam. I didn't get an after picture but it's so easy to make! |Blueberry Jam|
1 pint of blueberries
Head on stove medium low for 2-4 minutes. And mash.
1 Tbs of Maple Syrup
1/4 C Chia Seeds
Mix in and let cool in fridge
*for a thicker jam remove some of the blueberry juice and whisk in a few teaspoons of tapioca flour to dissolve and then mix back into jam
P.s. just walked to my fridge to eat some blueberries after looking at this picture 😋
Where are my taco fans? 🌮 I literally can have a taco for breakfast lunch & dinner. They are just so simple yet so delicious not to mention the versatility of options you can stuff them with! This squash & portobello taco is just so delicious, nutritious and easy to make.
Poblano| Yellow squash| Portobello Tacos
2 Poblano (Pasilla peppers) roasted & sliced in small pieces.
1 medium yellow squash thinly sliced.
1 Portobello mushroom chopped in small 1/4 in pieces.
1/4 of red onion chopped.
1/4 of tomato chopped.
1 garlic clove minced.
3 Tbsp olive oil.
1 tbsp Vegan butter.
Dash of ground Cumin.
Sea salt to taste.
Roast pasilla peppers over flame constantly turning with tongs. Otherwise coat evenly with oil and “broil” in oven until all sides blister and looks mostly black. Once done remove and set aside. Prepare your vegetables. In a medium sauce pan heat olive oil over medium heat and add onion & garlic. Sauté for about 5 min. Meanwhile peel the peppers with your fingers under cool running water until most of the skin comes off. Cut open remove the seeds then slice into small pieces. Add squash & peppers to pan with onions. Sauté for about 2 minutes and add cumin and sea salt. Sauté for another 5 minutes careful to not overcook the squash. Remove from pan and set aside. In same pan add the mushrooms and butter. Cook until mushrooms have released their liquid. Add in the chopped tomato. Add veggies back to pan. Mixing together and adding more salt if necessary. Cook for another minute or less. Serve immediately with corn tortillas. I garnish with cilantro (coriander). Enjoy!
Makes 6 tacos.
I took a social media break the past few days cause I had a demanding work schedule that I really needed to focus on! But I’m back and my brunch game is better than ever! Crispy fried eggs! Yummy bacon and organic sliced tomatoes with sea salt, cracked black pepper and freshly picked oregano 🌿 🍅🍳 This is exactly how I wish I could start every Sunday ☀️☀️
Can you believe this smoothie is packed full of healing spices to help fight inflammation, balance mood, boost immunity, while supporting joint and muscle health!? Sunshine Spice Smoothie recipe 👇is becoming a daily staple. I know you may be thinking it should be bright yellow from the turmeric but of course I have to add my daily greens!
I just got some new samples from @goldynglow which if you haven't tried thier blends you are missing out!! The new formula Goldyn Mylk Turmeric Spice Blend consists of organic turmeric, coconut sugar, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, cardamom, and black pepper. It might sound a bit strange that black pepper is included; however, it's a natural substance to help boost the absorption of curcumin found in turmeric. It gave my smoothie a warm spicy feeling with a hint of sweetness.
Now if you guys have been following me you know I love @organicpasturesdairy ❤️ They have a new product I've been obsessed with but you can only get it at the farmers markets right now. Their raw golden kefir tastes like Christmas in a cup with equal parts turmeric, cinnamon and ginger. Now I think I'm getting all the benefits of turmeric today. Enjoy the smoothie recipe!

PASTA and SHRIMP SALAD with ROASTED TOMATOES is a lazy Sunday staple. The shrimp and tomatoes are roasted with a little garlic while the pasta is cooking. The sauce is from the roasted tomatoes, mixed with a little cream (totally optional, since olive oil works well too). Chop an array of herbs and toss everything together. #🇮🇹❤️ #eatitalian
