Cómo necesitaba esto. ☀️
Enjoying these last few weeks of summer to the fullest☀️💓🌴
Sometimes basking in the sun comes before my workout. Other times I do them simultaneously. One thing’s for sure; the sun is a crucial for this flower to bloom🌸
I enjoy sitting in the sun with my bare feet planted in the earth. This is a Grounding practice I encourage everyone to take part in. Some may also call it Earthing. It’s simply one of the most accessible ways to recharge and reset🧘🏼♀️
If sitting still doesn’t come easy for you then there are lots of ways you can practice grounding while also being productive in other ways. I have a short list of outdoor ‘chores’ I enjoy, such as feed the birds & squirrels, make sure they have water, skim my pool, and water the plants.
While grounding I also enjoy participating in visualization, meditation, reading, practicing gratitude and positive affirmations, or just simply enjoying my state of being in its purest form🕉
I’ll do this throughout the year as long as weather permits.
We have spent a significant amount of our last week of summer break on mountain hikes with inspiring views. We walk away feeling grounded, our bodies strong, our perspectives shifted and our minds clear. Nature makes me feel so small but also powerfully connected to everything in my existence. .
Time also moves slower when we are outside. My memory banks are full of long moments of peaceful thinking about present moment things. .
Present moment thoughts keep your mind resonating positivity. Not worried about the future or regretful of the past... just here, now, with the breeze, the sun, the details and tangibility of today. .
The outdoors is my primary go-to tool when we, as a family, need a reset button. .
Did you get outside this summer?
When I visited England this past spring I went directly from Heathrow to Taplow Court (bags and all) and stood in this spot for what seemed like hours. My entire body was spent from hours of back-to-back healings, no sleep, and lots of traveling. In college I’d call this state delirium. But as a healer it’s an opportunity for transcendence: the mind is so tired it can’t get in the way as easily and there are many openings in the energy body that can be utilized for healing, so this is where spirit brought me to acquaint myself with the land and the potent journey that was to take place in the week ahead. I stood here and basically “fell asleep” standing. The wind was so kind and comforted me and held me there in gentle breezy embraces. My guides and elementals and faeries came to me and touched my hair and brushed my cheeks with just the right amount of tenderness and playfulness to send me off into trance. I saw these two pathways as two people, me and my beloved, traveling side by side in a quantum field of energy. Separated by time and space but always together supporting one another in this other realm with the medicine of unconditional love. I smiled at the vision being reassured that i’m never alone and let the earth spirits continue to hold me up and at the same time rejuvenate my bones and muscles. I thought wow this is heaven. In our journey of earthly pursuits there are these precious moments available where we can surrender to what is and allow ourselves to be supported and loved by nature. The earth is always on ready to love on us and support us no matter what. This medicine is so abundant it’s ALWAYS AVAILABLE! Let your feet touch the ground (even if you’re in a building in Manhattan - imagine roots extending from the bottoms of your feet and connecting down down down to the earth below) and call in this wonderful support. (Consciously) allowing our feet to touch the ground connects us to a myriad of universes of healing in a single moment. The body knows what to do, nature knows what to do, spirit is always guiding, so all we really have to “do” is follow the way to heaven on earth. .
Grounding yourself or in other words; earthing. Is this really a thing? Why yes, yes it is and it is time for you to check it out. According to research it is a practice we should all be adding into our regular routines. This research is showing promising results as far as assisting in the restoration of sleep patterns, decreases in the inflammatory response time for certain situations, increases in our bodies ability to help heal wounds, as well as potentially help in the treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Isn’t this great?!? Best part is this is free to everyone! Whoo hoo!
So what is grounding?
Step1: Take your shoes off ( if you don’t have feet, use another appropriate body part).
Step2: Place your feet on the bare earth- grass, dirt, sand, rocks, etc
Step 3: Breathe in and out then walk around
So Easy! We are all bioelectrical beings, the earth is a ball of energy you don’t need to pay to use. :)
I wrote about grounding and shiatsu in my 2nd level thesis:
Regular shiatsu treatments can provide a greater body awareness. The shiatsu recipients will learn to communicate with their inner nature, listen and feel their inner messages. They become more rooted in their physical bodies, thus feeling more "at home".
A deep Re-learning.
Thismorning at 2am the emotions
found me and I could cry and
smile and know that it’s ok
to let these e-motions f l o w.
It’s medicine and necessary
to feel and allow a sweet settling
into the body again.
This body I’ll love and
support as she heals and
Re-learns how to move,
how to let movement ripple
through her channels again.
Deeper knowings bubble up too -
for once we agree to listen,
we must be willing to
hear it All.
A relocation will need to happen,
but where to, I know not.
A process I will let unfold
Until spring brings new ventures
rooted in a solid deeper loving
More PLAY yes, let this little girl
out to roam and laugh and wiggle
her toes in the mud, talk to the trees
and animals it’s okay-
Darling it’s completely okay.
let the programs fall away.
You know Life is most
alive here now in this
gorgeous, wild, raw moment.
Even cloaked in what we call “Ordinary moments” ...
It’s what we bring to our moments
It’s what we cultivate
in our sacred vessels- these
hearts and minds which we’ve
been blessed with this time around
I haven’t walked without crutches
in almost 10 weeks.
With two more to go
I am flooded with the necessary
and medicinal digesting,
assimilating of all that has transpired
these last months;
of what kind of life I want to create.
So much magic and beauty
and healing is taking deep root.
I am so thankful
and ready to co-create
new directions, experiences
At heart, all life on Earth uses a membrane that separates the organism from its environment. ... In this regard, water is essential simply because it's a liquid at Earth-like temperatures. Because it flows, water provides an efficient way to transfer substances from a cell to the cell's environment.
Nothing compares to the taste of a tomato just picked from the vine or a cucumber from your own backyard. Gardening is a fun physical activity, providing you with great tasting produce and, ultimately, saves you trips to the store. In addition, it's a perfect way to teach children about where food comes from.
Here are a few easy steps to get you gardening and growing your own nutritious food.
Calculate your space. Before buying plants or seeds, calculate how much space you have (ground or container) that gets adequate sun. Most vegetable plants require at least six hours of light each day.
Know what grows. When buying your plants, ask what varieties will do best in the conditions you have to work with. For example, several compact tomato plants do particularly well in containers. If you have neighbors who garden, ask them what has grown well in their yard.
Check your soil quality. If you aren't sure about the quality of soil in your backyard, use a testing kit to see if you need to reinforce it with any nutrients.
Start small. Remember, you don't have start with an extravagant space with vegetables to fill a farmers market. Your garden can be as simple as a few window boxes of herbs or a potted tomato plant
Raised by the trees, dirt, grass + sky in North Carolina nothing brings me more joy than watching her explore nature. People exclaim to me all the time “I love that you let her get dirty!” And I just have to pick this apart a moment. “Let her get dirty,” has two implications. One, is it’s a “boy thing.” I see people all the time let their boys do this and I think it’s unfortunate that in this day in age it’s still odd for a girl to do it too. And Two, I’m not “letting her,” I’m not her warden, I’m her mom she gets dirty if I’m doing my job right. It’s my job to clean up my little explorer not limit her. And it makes me kind of sad that we are so rare people shockingly say that. To me getting scrapped and maybe a touch sunburnt with some dirt on your cheek in a field of sunflowers twice your size is what childhood is about.
🧠The Psoas connects to the illiacus and makes up part of the hip flexor group. 🧠When the leg is stable it increases lumbar lordosis, and when the spine is stable it flexes the hip. (Lifts the Knee)🧠A tight Psoas can create tightness and pain in your lower back. 🧠Your Psoas connects to your diaphragm and is also respiratory accessory muscle, so indirectly can affect your breathing. 🧠Being seated for lengths of time can shorten this muscle. 🧠Tightness in the Psoas and illuacus has been known to mimic appendicitis. 🧠Working on strengthening and lengthening this muscle can help your back to feel more mobile. 🧠It’s not known as the pesky Psoas for nothing!
💙 Lightworker Tools 💙
Stress, anxiety and fear of the future is one of the biggest issues in society. We have distanced ourselves massively from mother nature causing us to not only feel disconnected from her but from ourselves too. As Lightworkers it's important that we know where our place is in the world. Connecting to nature brings us back to our true selves. We feel calmer and more in tune with our own intuition.
A term called Earthing is hitting the mainstream which means to walk barefoot in nature. Taking time to connect in this way is a great way to clear your energy so before the bad weather starts get down to your local beach or forest. You don't have to walk barefoot to get the benefits. I remember there are woods near where my parents live and I would often walk to a particular tree I felt really connected too and just lay against it. Feeling the support of its trunk and breathing in the calm, quiet space of nature.
Try it when you can and notice a difference in how you feel. 💖💖💖
Free your feet and your mind will follow 🤗🤗 Lubicie chodzić boso ? Ja uwielbiam!! 😍
