So you are drinking lots of water but you’re still not too sure whether you’re drinking too much or too little?

A handy thing to use is the colour of your urine. It doesn’t correlate perfectly, but it’s an easy way to see where you are currently hydration wise. The goal is to have a slightly yellow colour, while trying to avoid having it a dark yellow colour. You also don’t want it to be completely clear either.

At the start of the day you’ll find the colour will be quite dark (from not drinking all night), so ideally having a good pint or two of water with your breakfast in the morning will help you get the ball rolling for the rest of the day.

As the day progresses all you’re looking to do is keep sipping away at the water to keep you hydrated throughout the day.

This is just a little guide on how you could make a quick well balanced nutritious meal if you don’t have a lot of time or just too lazy (like me 😄). -
🥗 Pick your favorite veggie source: Just add some veggies that you like to a microwaveable bowl (add a little water) and microwave for 2-3 mins.

🥔 Pick your favorite starchy carbohydrate source: I like to choose a potato or sweet potato. All I do is rinse it under water, put it in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 5 mins.

🍗 Pick your favorite protein source: Choose a good quality source of protein that you enjoy and fry it up on a frying pan. I like to add some water and spices to the pan when cooking my meat. This usually take up to 10 mins to do the job nicely.

🥑 Pick your favorite fat source (be mindful of portion sizes): When all the food is cooked you can add a healthy source of fat such as avocado, olive oil or some nuts for example. However it’s important to be mindful of portions as fat sources are higher in calories compared to other macronutrients. *Also some protein sources are higher in fat (e.g beef, oily fish) so be aware of that especially if you’re in a fat loss phase and trying to reduce your calorie intake.

Also don’t forget to add some of your favorite spices/seasoning. Lower calorie sauces such as ketchup or sweet chili sauce are nice examples that can help improve the taste of your meal 😋.

I had this on Saturday while I was playing tag rugby all day. I'm quite careful about these type of energy drinks. Given the widely published health implications. These cans have less caffeine then some of the others in the market. A characteristic I am glad of. I was expecting a taste similar to Red Bull. However this was totally different. Let me put it this way, there is:
A) Your Scoliosis .
B) The story you have about your Scoliosis .

One of them is real, and one of them is what you feel. Your perception of your Scoliosis is what you are experiencing. .
You might see someone staring at your back and think ‘what a douchebag, how dare they’, when in reality- there is a wasp floating behind you, and they are concerned you don’t get stung. .
It turns out everything was fine and they were just concerned about your welfare.

30 lbs 30 weeks... Triceps starting out... Am I cheating?? I heard someone accuse me of 'cheating'... I found this quite interesting and it led me to question the psychology behind it! For me to be 'cheating' this person must feel he's somehow in competition with me. To me fitness and bodybuilding is a journey of self 'improvement' and achieving personal goals. All that matters is what you can achieve and how far you're willing to go to do so. I will never be able to step on the olympia stage because Im not willing to take the risks necessary to do so. Does that mean I look at the guys that do and think they're cheating? Of course not! They're there because they are willing to do what others aren't. It's the same in all sports. Those willing to do 'whatever it takes' will win. I'm only competeing with me. It is also a shallow and somewhat narcissistic endevour. No one should look at what I do and feel worse about themselves. All Im doing is adding small amounts of unneccesary muscle day by day and sacrificing things to do so! People look up to their 'fitness' inspirations and idolise them and for what?? Cause they were born with good genetics to build muscle, took drugs that could potentially harm them and go on crazy diets to get to body fat levels that are terrible for health! This isn't important... is anyone else going to care if my arms are 14" or 22"? Does it matter if I can bench 20kg or 200kg? This shit is for fun and I do it because I love the lifestyle and the feeling I get working out but it does not make me in anyway better. I could spend the time I dedicate to adding an inch to my arm on doing something to help others and improve the world and then you could look at me and be inspired (or hate cause you didnt do that). But hating cause you think I 'cheated' my way to an extra 10kg on my bench is a reflection on you. What will matter is my future clients. When I help people change their lives for the better then I will be fulfilled and proud!

This pose is a work in progress for me, coming into yoga many years ago, I had absolutely no upper body strength (+ core strength).

With dedication and practice I slowly got to a place where I could hold the pose for a couple of breaths. It’s a pose I tend to include in my home practice, a nice reminder of how far I’ve come in my asana practice on those days when I’m frustrated with my limitations.

To put this into perspective, 100g of strawberries contains 30 calories. And a snickers bar,depending on size contains between 213 and 245 calories. ————————————————————————-

It's a completely different person in this picture, about half the size of me today🐷😝 it's amazing how incredibly much can happen and change within just a few months! Here's a reminder to appreciate every single day, and do the best you can.
