Soulful Sunday: Sunday is usually where people find themselves having downtime and can process how their week has went, what they've achieved, and how they can improve for the week ahead, here's providing a quote to perhaps get the ball rolling for that. #SoulSunday
A wonderful quote, originally from German philosopher Frederich Nietzsche, adopted and preached by neurologist Viktor Frankl. You to your own interpretation, my interpretation: to have reason upon a need in life, one will find the ability to overcome any obstacles facing them to reach that need.
Enjoy your Sunday 😁

Its time to get your GutRight with GUT RIGHT!
What Is GutRight?
Even though humans have survived for centuries without the use of any kind of supplements to manage their digestive system, times have changed. The bacteria that normally exists in the gut now is different from centuries past, since the food that consumers eat has changed, and because humans have evolved. The genetic structure of humans does not have the same makeup as before, since humans have become accustomed to a different diet.
However, the big imbalance is due to having too many firmicute bacteria (which feed on sugar and slow the metabolism) and not enough bacteriodetes bacteria (which feed on sugar and reduce inflammation). ATP Science has developed a supplement called GutRightthat might help.
GutRight’s purpose is to:
Manage the ratio of bacteria in the gut
Reduce the struggle with intolerances and allergies
Support the immune system
Improve the liver’s function
Reduce the body’s resistance to insulin
Increase the speed of the metabolism
Increase mental acuity
Read on below to see why GutRight can manage these issues.
The reason that GutRight is effective is because it is considered a modbiotic, which is simply a collection of compounds that regulate the microbes in the gut, which will help with inflammation and obesity. It helps with bacteria, fungus, and parasites that will end up eliminating firmicutes and increasing bacteriodetes.
This is not a function that probiotic, prebiotic, or symbiotic supplements can help with, since they just perpetuate the growth of firmicutes. However, a modbiotic can manage the transition for a healthier physique and GI tract.
Spent the day at Lough Key Forest Park and in honesty I was wrecked but pumped out what was probably the laziest programming I've done in a long time 😂 but it actually surprised me as to how well it worked my chest, I recommend trying it with max. 60 seconds between each set and exercise, don't drop weights until failure on each
Being a coach/teacher allows one to be a student at the same time. Our students inspire us to be better at our art through their questions and ideas. Thank for for a great class Saturday @adhamh_80 @monkshugo and Mark. Kick at the end was inspired by @vincent_vis Handstand Workshop now coined the Vincent kick as we forgot the name of what it is. 🤣
We posted this a while back but its worth reading again for any new followers! .
Do you want to get in shape? Are you fed up with how you look and feel but there is one thing holding you back? It's the confidence to go to a gym, full of people that know what they're doing and training hard. You feel like you will embarrass yourself by doing something completely wrong and you may even worry about being judged! Well here are some helpful tips to find a gym, build your confidence and get in shape!
1️⃣Find a Semi Private Gym, you know the small types of gyms Personal Trainers generally work out of? Well most of these gyms are normally open to the public and cater for Personal training, Classes and Program's. They are also normally quiet, unless a class is on. You can use our webiste to find a Personal Trainer/Gym😊
2️⃣OK, so you have set up a consultation with a trainer in the gym. No this doesn't mean you're signing up for Personal Training, its your chance to tell the trainer exactly what you would like whether it is your own membership & program, personal training or classes.
3️⃣If you can afford to invest, a personal trainer is ideal if you are a beginner or lacking confidence. A personal trainer should make you feel comfortable and guided through your training session. You will not only learn how to train properly, you will hit your goals and gain confidence, which in time should lead to you being comfortable to training alone. ▪️Continues in comments▪️
How many of you look at the benefits a food can bring to your body rather than just the calories? .
A few years ago coconut oil was the new ‘super food’ amid claims it helped with weight loss. However recently the furore around it seems to have died down but was coconut oil another fad or is there some benefits to it?
Coconut oil is a saturated fat made up of primarily medium chain triglycerides. It’s claim for benefiting weight loss stemmed from how studies showed it could increase our metabolic rate but the effects were so short lived, it wouldn’t have had a meaningful impact on fat loss. So loading coconut oil into dishes, mixing it into your coffee or eating it off a spoon in the hope to speed up fat loss would likely do more harm than good as it’s calorie density outweighs its metabolic effects.
However it does have some awesome benefits.
1. It’s a very easy dietary fat to digest which can be beneficial for individuals suffering from gallbladder issues and pancreatitis.
2. It can provide a readily available energy source as the medium chain triglycerides are sent directly to liver where they are quickly converted to energy as opposed to other dietary fats that go through a longer processing via the lymphatic system.
3. The lauric acid in coconut oil has antibacterial properties which can fight bacterial overgrowth, help kill candida and treat yeast infections in the gut.
4. It can help gum disease and prevent tooth decay. By swishing the oil in your mouth (known as oil pulling) up to three times a day, the oil denatures bacteria in the mouth therefore reducing the risk of bacteria issues in the oral cavity.
5. It can help the absorption of fat soluble vitamins and the minerals calcium and magnesium.
Whilst no one food will be a miracle food to the body, a diet should be more than just macros and calories. It should be about bringing a wide variety of nutrients and with that benefits to your body.
If you won the lottery tomorrow would your happiness and life satisfaction increase? Initially it more than likely would but as studies show, over time your levels of happiness will go back to the levels they were at prior to winning the lotto. So if you are misserable at present and happen to win the lottery tomorrow, in 2 years time you will probably still be misserable. But why is that? Well the habituation and adaptation principles of psychology might give us an answer. Simply put, what the habituation principle states is this: when we familiarise ourselves with something we get used to it. And when we become familiar with something important we can easily take it for granted and focus on something else that is not in our possession. This in turn creates a vicious loop for many people. They strive for external objects with the belief that attaining such objects will fulfil their lives. Then when their desires are met and they grow used to them, they begin to take them for granted and search for happiness in more objects. Repeating the process yet remaining unfulfilled. So how might we reverse this inevitable law of habituation and find happiness in what we have? Simply put we need to learn to want the things we already have more than the things that we don't have but want. Here's a good exercise to help you do just that👇
Exercise: close your eyes and think of the most important thing in your life. This could be somebody or something. Dwell on it for a moment. Think of how it makes you feel. Now recognise that this can be taken from you at anytime and imagine that scenario happening! Think of how unhappy and maybe even regretful you might feel. This exercise is called Negative Visualisation and helps you picture worst-case scenarios(possibilities) which in turn makes you more appreciative for the things you have. Try it out and see how you feel. Done correctly, when you come into contact with whatever your exercising it on your levels of internal well-being and gratefulness will increase. This exercise should be practiced on 'minor' and major things to attain tranquility. Your dog, the food you have, the house you live in and your family and friends etc💪
Meal Prep Sunday 💪
Featuring our Jerk Chicken 😍
Jamaican Jerk seasoned, oven roasted! With our pineapple & banana salsa made with red onion, jalapenos, tomatoes and lime🔥
That's a dish to start the week off right 😊
Old-school Sunday: back to basics on nutrition and training, looking at what's consistently worked for years but may have been forgotten about in the new age of nutrition and training. #OldSchoolSunday
Drag curls: like the regular Barbell Bicep curl, the drag curl differs by holding the bar up along the abdomen while curling the bar, essentially dragging it along your front. You'll find you won't be able to curl the same weight as you would a regular barbell curl, however the mind-muscle connection is far easier to achieve as there is less room for compromise, such as flaring the elbows. Give it a try 😁
WHAT COUNTS AS WEIGHT LOSS PROGRESS? By @cartergood
Earlier today, I was emailing back and forth with a client about the progress she’s made during our first month working together. Despite being fairly consistent, her weight didn’t change much. Maybe a quarter or half-a-pound lost tops.
Needless to say, she was a bit discouraged 👎...
To no surprise, either.
Especially when you consider the weight loss culture as a whole. All day long, you’re bombarded with catchy weight loss marking lines like:
—> “lose 10 pounds in 10 days!”
—> “Get your beach body in just 30 days or less!”
But(t🍑) while it’s totes okay to use weight as a tool for tracking progress, it’s not the only thing that matters...
Once my client and I started digging into the numbers a bit more, we discovered that she’d actually lost four total inches from her waist and hips! What’s more, her strength in the gym had gone up!
You see, there are oodles ’n’ bunches of things that count towards making progress.
Body weight is one, but there are also things like:
How Clothes Fit
Improved Workout Performance
How You’re Feeling! (often overlooked)
The Bottom Line ✅: stop attaching so much value to the scale.
Sure, when it’s used correctly, it can be a useful tool, but it’s not the end all be all.
If your weight’s not changing, don’t immediately assume something’s wrong…
Make sure you’re at least tracking the other 5 things in this graphic before deciding whether or not you need to make a change to your plan.
HOW TO REDUCE BLOATING by @iqphysique96.
Bloating is the trapping of gas in the abdomen that causes distention of the belly and discomfort. This can be caused by food intolerances, some artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, IBS, and other factors. Fiber is a very important substance for your health but can lead to gas due to your body's inability to break it down. Make sure to have at least 25 g per day, but don't eat too much. Exceeding 80 g of fiber per day would probably cause some bloating as well as digestive and nutrient absorption problems.
Excessive fluid won't normally be trapped in the abdomen, but people do often cite subcutaneous water retention (water under skin) as the same thing as bloating. The average person has a diet high in sodium but low in potassium. This causes you to retain water. Undo this by consuming less processed food and consuming more fruits and vegetables. Believe it or not, having more water will also help flush out subcutaneous water. Lastly, cortisol is a stress hormone leading to water retention. Reduce your stress and you won't hold as much. .
You may experience some bloating depending on the biological clock too. Sorry, I can't help you there lol. I hope these tips helped! Tryna sort your life out after a mad weekend? Feeling a bit meh today? When I’m hungover, I always like to do one or two productive things to make me feel better ✅
Even if it’s something simple like meal prepping, getting some exercise (a long walk for example) or planning my week ahead, it always boosts my mood knowing I haven’t let the day go by without doing something worthwhile 💯
I’m not hungover (slightly jet lagged though) but I’m also spending the day getting my shit together after Thailand, so I can kinda relate xo

Carbohydrates have always been the root of all evil when it comes to people losing weight. Well that’s what It sounds like when I hear people talking about their current weight loss regime. All of people believe that “carbs make them fat” so eating carbs after a certain time in the evening is usually a mortal sin 😳 So they usually do not eat them after 7pm and low and behold they lose weight 🤗
However the fact you lost weight was because you were in calorie deficit and not that you didn’t eat bread, spuds or pasta after 7pm for the last couple of weeks.
Foods are set with a caloric value which are further broken down into macro and micronutrients. They can’t magically double in caloric value after a certain time in the day.
Many people struggle with carbs because they are a convenient source of food that can be easily over consumed thus leading to weight gain.
If you can practice making good foods choices and control what you eat you can have carbs later in the day and YOU WILL NOT GET FAT provided you are in a calorie deficit ✅

Another new day of my new program. Heavy Chest, pump back. Really enjoyed it 💪
Honestly, I did this during the World Cup, I completely forgot the match was on 🙄
Swipe left for the session, as you can see, I’m still figuring out what weights suit me. I find tracking all my workouts means I can always reference back and not have to worry about it too much.
Aaand it's weekend🙌🏽🤩 finished with work, going to train leeegz now😁 legs is my absolute favorite, I love a nice hamstring sweep, thunder quads, and of course a nice pair of steelbuns🍑😂 so I better get to work to make these happen💪🏽 what's your favorite part to train?💓
Love & appreciate our breakfasts in the sun🌞😍
Made myself some gluten&sugar free protein French toast👌😍 I'm on a sugar detox at the moment to get my nutrition and mind properly back on track. The only sugar I eat is from some fruit, i.e. mainly berries as they are some of the lowest sugar fruits🍓🍓🍓 And honestly, all the vitamins & antioxidants in them more than outweigh the bit of sugar they contain in my opinion😄 #onmywaytobalance
