After a weeks holiday I return at basically the same weight. I had hoped for a bit of a loss but glad that I could enjoy myself and not put on weight.
This week I was meant to really push myself in the gym to make up for last week on holiday. But on Monday morning when I got up out of bed I fell to the floor with very bad back pain. It’s a recurring problem I have with my back but it has been a good while since it has happened to me. I have worn down my facet joints in my lower back and these cause the nerves to cause major pain ever year or so. So this week I have done zero exercise. Very little movement at all! So that didn’t help with the weight loss. But I did eat well knowing that those extra calories I planned to burn in the gym would have to come from my food instead.
The back is on the mend and I hope to be in the gym on Monday morning. Just as my ribs got better it was a pain for this to happen. But it won’t stop me this time.
I am at my brothers stag on Saturday which will be a fun day. I’ll have to make sure to watch my back and then work very hard to work off the beer that will be had that day. But I know to not go crazy and always watch what I eat.
So the journey continues with all the obstacles life throws at you. The aim of this weight loss journey is do lose weight each week whilst still enjoying life. It’s all about finding the right balance.
So I’ll be back here next Friday with what I hope will be a proper weight loss result.

🚨🍔 Burger Alert 🍔🚨 😋Here’s a tasty burger you can whip up this weekend quicker than you can say 🗣“Freeeeeeeeaks” & 🐇 I added some grated carrot ....yes Bugs Bunny’s go to food of choice to add a little sweetness to the meat .
Ingredients: 🥩500g Round steak mince 🥕1 1/2 to 2 grated carrots
2 grated cloves of garlic 🍅 2 dessert spoons of tomato paste 🤚🏿 Mix all the above with your hands & form into 6 burgers 🔥 Place them on a baking tray (or frying pan ) & into medium hot oven for 10 Minutes turning over after 5 👷♂️Build it (of course this is to your personal taste ): The Chief used a : 🥖 toasted GF seeded roll 🍃 Then added some spinach 🥑 Nxt avocado 🍅 Sliced Tomato
Left over roasted Yellow pepper
A few chopped up olives 🍔....then the burger 🧀 Parmesan cheese &

Not much of a difference between those portion sizes to the naked eye is there? You only really see the difference in terms of Calories 😵 To start, Peanut Butter contains good sources of Protein & Fat. Great! Don’t not consume. But, the info-graph & below show why its worth tracking how much you consume 👌🏻
One Cracker is 65kcal. I measured a tbsp of Peanut Butter as 10g. So, one cracker and a tbsp of Peanut Butter comes out as 125kcal. Not too bad. Problem is theres fup all Peanut Butter there from 1 tbsp. Is that the amount you would really use ? 😏 Problem can come when you start leathering it on 😂
Portion Sizing is massively important. When it comes down to your daily calorie intake the size of your snacks & meals will play a huge part in how that turns out. Align the portion sizing of your food to match your goals 💭
Still stiff and sore from Tuesday’s session, but after a good session the body feels much better. -
5 sets of 30 second #battleropes and #squatpress with a 20kg sandbag for 15 reps to kick start today’s session.
Had to drop the weight from the 25kg sandbag as usual, it still amazes me how after 3 & 1/2 weeks with out training the muscle deteriorates.
Not gonna complain tho, I’d rather use lighter weights than not train at all.
RECIPE TESTING 🤗🍝 Tried out some new dishes today to add to the menu!
We cooked cauliflower 3 ways which was inspired by Colms trip to Copenhagen. Pan fried, pureed and the cauliflower leaves! Really delicious! It was served with chicken, wild rice and a coconut satay sauce 😍
We then tried out 2 different types of fish with a chilli & lime marinade - Rainbow Trout & Basa. Both came out so different but were equally tasty! It was served on a noodle stir-fry with pak choi & mangetout 😊
