I’ve been focusing on adding more cardio in my training in the last couple of weeks. Be specific with your training: If you want to be a better runner, go running. Supplement it with strength training to get even better results, and build up progressively to avoid getting injured.

We explored these questions today with @heidi_jones_coaching at her amazing health coach social 🙏🏻 I am definitely at my best when I am relaxed and refreshed which is why I always make plenty of time for ME on the weekend before starting a busy week of work and training ❤️
In general, acupuncture is believed to stimulate the nervous system and cause the release of neurochemical messenger molecules. The resulting biochemical changes influence the body's homeostatic mechanisms, thus promoting physical and emotional well-being. Stimulation of certain acupuncture points has been shown to affect areas of the brain that are known to reduce sensitivity to pain and stress.
Acupuncture may help to relieve tension-type headache by:
increasing endorphins (Han 2004) and neuropeptide Y levels (Lee 2009), which can help to combat negative affective states;
stimulating nerves located in muscles and other tissues, which leads to release of endorphins and other neurohumoral factors, and changes the processing of pain in the brain and spinal cord (Pomeranz, 1987; Zhao 2008; Cheng 2009);
reducing inflammation, by promoting release of vascular and immunomodulatory factors (Zijlstra 2003; Kavoussi 2007);
increasing local microcirculation (Komori 2009), which aids dispersal of swelling

Mine is definitely trail run 🏃♀️ with beautiful views ⛰🏞 + delicious @nuzest chocolate vegan protein! 😍 Sometimes it seems I workout only to enjoy my protein shake afterwards!🤣😍

The picture on the left was taken at the end of the running season in Dubai in May. I had a lot of swelling and pain even when I was walking.
The picture on the right was after 4 treatments with @cbperformancedxb and was taken last week. The improvement the last couple of weeks has been great and it feels like We are making good progress. I am back doing short runs 3 x week and have been strength training throughout the summer.
