I know @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi always steals the show but this post is about veggie noodles! I used to always sauté my veggie noodles (sweet potato and zucchini are my favorite) but it sometimes makes them super soggy/ oily so one day I decided to bake em and it made them soooo much more crispy so I wanted to share this little tip with you! Simple spray a baking pan with coconut oil spray, spread out the noodles and bake for 7 minutes at 400 degrees! So easy and so delicious. I add them to so many meals for added veggies! ——-

Also - GO TO MUMFORD AND SONS CONCERT if you can. went last night it was my second time seeing them live and they did not disappoint! Wish they sang more new stuff but overall, amazing night and amazing way to spend my birthday with my favorite person. I knooooow - you guys are probably like um.. nice pic Mish. But I promise, you’ll thank me later if you follow my advice and get a brownie from here! I literally ALWAYS always stop at Le Pain whenever I’m at Roosevelt Field Mall to get a brownie. My favorite in the worlddddd. Their other bakery items are awesome as well, as well as their drinks (the mint lemonade is also like top 10 best lemonades ever). If ya’ll ever piss me off just get me @chipnewyorkcity or this. I really feel as if I’m chasing my tail at the moment, with Christmas cocktail parties to cater for and shopping to be done (I’ve bought one present😬) there aren’t enough hours in the day! Just as well supper is quick, easy and delicious. This is a salsify gratin, I’ve used a Swedish cheese called Västerbotten but to be honest you can use any mature hard cheese. I’m teaming it with a piece of fish. Hope your Christmas preparations are going to plan.

BBQ Lamb Ribs from myLahore in Leeds was the highlight of the visit.
The taste was great with the chargrilled lamb not too crisp, the meat itself was relatively chewy but thats pretty normal for ribs. This is a definite must of you are going to number

The holidays are here!
This time of year can be really stressful! I used to restrict for days so that I could binge on holiday food. But guess what? All I was left with was a huge stomach ache and a lot of guilt. So I’ve put together a list of things to help make this time of year a little less stressful... _
1. Indulge in the things you love! Gramma only makes her famous pies once a year.
2. Eat until you are satisfied. You can always take leftovers home to enjoy over the next few days! I love keeping holiday treats in my freezer so I can enjoy them longer.
3. If you overdo it, that’s ok! Instead of throwing your hands in the air and saying “screw it, I’m this far in I may as well keep going”, try to make your next meal a more mindful one. No need to “start tomorrow”. 4. Bring your own food! I enjoy the holidays as much as the next person, but eating lots of refined sugar and processed food is not my favorite. So I like to take charge of part of the meal so I know it’s something I’m comfortable eating.
5. Relax! The holidays are supposed to be fun. Don’t beat yourself up for eating 1 (or5) too many cookies or for not making it to that workout class. Enjoy time with family and friends and listen to your body!
This weekend, I batch-cooked two really big meals to have for lunches and dinners this week. I really wanted to keep things simple and not have to cook much on weekdays. #teamlazy .

Realize that building your best body takes time. ⠀
For example: If your goal is to drop 20 lbs in one month -know that it is possible, however; the likelihood that you will gain all that weight back plus more is probable . Take it slow and steady to guarantee healthy weight loss💪🏾⠀
Don't stress over the Scale⚖️⠀ This is something I am sometimes guilty of, especially during prep but I know the best way to measure weight loss is over the month! ⠀
There will be days of fluctuation due to water intake, workouts and foods consumed and for my ladies ( that time of the month) can rise the scale more than you'd like. Go by the average for the month!⠀
Speaking of water intake.. ⠀
Drink a Gallon a Day💧⠀
This is so simple but yet so hard😫 I know I know.. Best way to solve this is filling up a water bottle and drinking it throughout the day. 10-12 cups throughout the day will not only keep you hydrated, but can flush out water weight that we hold throughout the day.⠀
Don't Stress yourself out🤯😳⠀
With the holiday season, it can be easy to stress yourself out with many things we tend to during this time of year. But keep in mind stress can be a hindrance to weight loss goals as well as maintaining overall health. Stress produces cortisol and we know what cortisol does sooo..⠀ STOP STRESSING😁⠀
🍻🥂Limit Alcohol Intake ⠀
During the holiday season its easy to partake in the"spirits" but excessive alcohol consumption is not only counterproductive to achieving your fitness goals but can have long-lasting effects on your health. Try to limit consumption to 1-2 drinks -Trust me your body will thank you😉⠀
Don't "Save Up Calories" 🥧🧁⠀
When heading to Holiday Parties, try not to starve before gorging on a big meal ,as that can backfire Big Time! Hunger can cause low blood sugar which can increase cortisol levels ,leading to craving salty and sugary foods which is no bueno. Try snacking on veggies and high protein foods to keep from binging.⠀

Friday's party was a blast! And with more than 100 people attending, the prep took all day 👨🏼🍳✊🏻 here's one of the hors d'oeuvres: Mediterranean meatballs made with filet mignon trim (I give the people what they want!), roasted garlic and mint. These were paired with a homemade lemon tzatziki sauce. 🍋🙌🏻
As a chef, I know how important a well-cooked egg is 🍳 and this breakfast has FOUR! In the dish: A buttermilk biscuit base loaded with crispy home fries and fried eggs topped with chili verde sauce, cheddar cheese and cilantro. 💯
